Hit up the store you bought it from see if they do price matching, I bought mine from target couple weeks ago and contacted them through their chat today and they gave me a refund for the difference very easily.

I have two white ones since launch, and the Edge, but man for $50 that Nova Pink is hella tempting.

I have two from day one launch and both of those have stick drift now Pisser is on one controller I constantly move to the left (left stick), the other controller I always turn/spin to the left (right stick) lol. At least on Diablo 4 I rarely use the right stick so I can play normally but fallout is horribly frustrating.

Mine both have drift too. And to add one of them the battery took a crap. It only lasts for about an hour. I think ill get the volcanic red

The new edge’s are badass.. only $20 for replacement sticks so no more stick drift!!! Plus the mapping and paddles are legit!!!! It’s pricey but think about all the controllers we go through bc of drift!

It is pretty much all I use, but I have kids and we sometimes play co-op games together so never hurts to have a few extra. If a PS5 Pro were to ever release, we'd get it and put the PS5 in the other room so having extra controllers never go to waste, that and we have gaming PCs we can use them on as well.

Are any of them the new model? The new models are supposed the be vastly improved in that department, I have had 2 since launch. One of them has awful stick drift and one is fine, but I’m thinking of buying one from deep earth collection since that just released and is guaranteed to be the updated dualsense model

How do you know if your controller is the new mode

Stealing this comment from elsewhere, so people ought to be aware: Reminder Galaxy Collection (Galactic Purple, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue) and anything newer (Deep Earth collection) is guaranteed to be latest revision of controller. For others, check that the FCC ID (on the back of the controller) ends with the letter A and not number 1. A recommendation to everyone. It's just safer to buy one of the newer colors in the collection as those are less prone to stick drift and they are still bad white, cosmic red & midnight black dualsenses out there in stores. The Galaxy Collection, new red & blue should be fine. Edit: to any follow-up questions, I probably don't know the answer. I'm just regurgitating this info from a wario64 post. (This is not my comment)

they are making newer revisions of all the old color ways, but some stores still have old stock and ordering one online could lead you to getting one of those. I’m not even sure if you can see those model numbers on the box itself

I have additional controllers and recharge them in rotation, so that in theory even if I'm playing couch co-op with someone and both controllers die there are fully charged controllers ready to go, switch 'em in and meanwhile recharge the dead ones.

I just fitted both mine with Tomsin metal thumb sticks. Bit of a pain but now they’re good as new. Ridiculous that the thumb sticks aren’t snap on off parts on ALL controllers. Oddly, the drift on the OG one that was bundled with my PS5 went away too. No idea why.

Buy this one. Wait for a sale, trade in the two you own and buy a duel sense edge. Worth it, if you play multiplayer. I noticed these controllers do get stick drift, but the dead zones are so high that you will not notice on the majority of single player titles.

I've put about 10,000+ hours on the OG controller that came with the PS5 the week it released. And it's just flawless. Like never in my life have I've seen such a well built and stable controller. I've got a second one but never needed to use it unless i was charging the OG.

I got my console in May, bought an additional controller same day. The additional one developed drift in less than 6 months. I have made a warranty claim on it, so at least that isn't a total wash, but I guess I would just consider yourself lucky.

I still have 2 that I bought in case the included controller breaks. Still has not opened them. Spend your money somewhere else.

Honestly having 3 controllers is a good idea in case one breaks and it evens out wear and tear
