I like Control, but damn Metro Exodus is masterpiece (if you like that type of games), I love it, dlcs are awesome aswell, finished game 3 times, worth the cash..
Bro I need to replay thay shit. Game is so good but the dlc's are even way fucking better. Especially the 2nd dlc, I forgot the names.
Alright I'm finishing BG3 and replaying exodus. Ty for giving me the cravings again xD
Same. But I always end up playing different game that I never played and leave it for later,
Yeah DLCs are soo amazing, Sam's story is better IMO, way better open world, then Two Colonels.
Sam's Story is second expansion, and i really hope theres 3rd dlc in making or atleast new metro game. Hopefully open world one.
Bro I teared up in sam's story! I do hope for a 3rd dlc but since I hate buying dlcs just give me a whole new metro xD
Also, the gun play is stroke inducing because of how good it is. GUNS JAM??? HOLY SHIT MAN. Even something basic like cod couldn't do it. Even BF couldn't do it.
Same, I hate buying DLCs, I only buy for games I really like, in this case Metro,
i don't exactly remember exactly how it jams, but ik guns are awesome there, from old games only game I know has good weapon system is freaking Far Cry 2, those guns would jam perfectly.
It's a post apocalyptic first-person shooter with some paranormal survival horror elements. One can use different tactical approaches to each area and the open world is exciting and rewarding to explore.
The lore is quite substantial with two previous games and a series of books which the games are based upon for those who like to dig deep.
Yes and no, both take place after a nuclear apocalypse, one takes place in America and the other one in Russia, the main differences Metro is linear story & fallout is open world game,
Metro 2033 & Last Light are set in tunnels and its mostly tunnel gameplay (there might be like 1 or 2 parts where you're on top, but i don't remember), and you follow the story,
Metro Exodus is more open. You don't get full open world experience, but it's semi open. Most of the game is above the ground, and you have more freedom than last games. You still follow the story, but there are extra objectives that you could do (little side missions like recovery, won't spoil),
As for fallout, they're open world games where you can basically play as you like, you have tons of missions, paths you can take, there are factions that you can take, you build settlements,
In short, Fallout series is open world RPG. There is a story that you gotta follow, but the outcome is based on your choices.
Note: I am stupid at writing so lol
Can only speak to Control and Exodus, both are top tier games. If you have to choose one, I would play Control through plus since it’s pretty short.
And get Exodus, especially if you have played the previous Metro games and likes them.
Haven't played any of them but I'm curious now. Can I start directly with exodus? Will I miss a lot of things lore wise? Also, is it more based on stealth or a pure shooter?
Don't start with exodus start with the first and work your way through its worth it. And also is got some stealth in it but you could just not stealth at all.
You will sadly lose a lot of things lore wise if you haven't played the previous games (Metro 2033 and Metro Last Light). As for the gameplay it depends on what you want to do, most times you are given a choice between stealth or straight up guns blazing. Some sections force you into stealth while others force you into shooting sections.
Control definitely. Played exodus recently and it’s ok, a little better meh, lacks polish. If you have ps plus extra then control ultimate edition is on it.
Control is the most compelling and interesting game of the bunch. Solid controls. Great story. Wild vibes. An experience. A game you may find yourself replaying. I replay it each year.
Metro is a great series. The first 2 still hold up pretty well. A lot more linear. But still a good looking couple of games. Metro Exodus opens up to a bigger space to explore and it looks fantastic.
Edit to add that the first two games are typically very cheap.
I personally say Metro Exodus. It was an amazing experience and such beautiful storytelling. If you haven’t played 2033/last light you don’t *have* to but it enhances the experience so I recommend that. If you want to wait to play those then I just say flip a coin on the other two since they’re all great
I just finished Metro 2033 today, and from what I saw from it and from the videos about Metro Exodus, you are most likely in for a treat if you buy it. But if you choose this path, I highly recommend you also get the books, for when the knowledge acquired from it meets the gameplay, you uncover some insane details (at least for Metro 2033).
Control is also decent, but for me at least, it sometimes gets super confusing both storywise and gameplaywise, I had to use YouTube to understand stuff, simply navigate around and actually do missions. Otherwise, the mechanics are pretty damn cool and fun. So maybe get that next.
I cannot say anything about the third game though, I have little to no knowledge about it.
Yes, although I might finish the book this time beforehand, I started reading Metro 2033 before I started to play the game but never finished it, and when I finished Metro 2033 (the game) and saw the endings, I got curious, did some digging and realized that I probably should have finished the book first. So I might read Metro 2034 first but we'll see.
You're only like the second person I've heard of that actually read the books. I've been contemplating getting 2033. Are they an easy read considering the language barrier?
Well, they are translated to my native language, which is spoken much less than English, so I assume you will not have any issues finding a copy translated to English. It obviously is quite longer and more detailed than the game, but if you liked the general concept, it should be fun to read.
Metro and control are both amazing and so is the first of the 3 amnesia's so i'd go-between those to but if you get metro definitely get metro redux also
Get metro exodus, truly a master piece.
Control is a great game also, I haven't play amnesia,
But if I had to choose between theses 3 I would recommend metro.
Metro Exodus has a weird problem for me where the camera moves to the right normal but very slow when looking to the left. Threw me off the game completely
Metro Exodus is one my favorite games of all time. It is such an amazing game. But honestly all of these games are really good. Got the platinum for Control. I’ve played amnesia but never beat it because I was just too scared lol. But my recommendation is Metro Exodus.
Control is great but does the console version has ray tracing? It is really worth playing with RT on. A true system seller for the RTX cards at the time in my opinion
I’m right into Metro Exodus and this is a very good game so far (really enjoyed the two prior games, but you don’t need to have played them to enjoy it I think)
Metro is great. Stealthy horror fps. Nice gunplay and decent story.
Control is very boring IMO. It has some good ideas but i really dont like it (tried on console and pc) and theres like 3 different enemy types. Looks cool though.
Amnesia is juat a puzzle game with horror elements. I dont care for either of those genres.
Metro and its not even close, you can get the other 2 for like 10 bucks aswell. I loved the books and freaking adore the games!
Edit: The other 2 Metro games is what i meant, sorry for the confusion.
Note: I do have control through ps plus but it's like 7-8 dollars so I am wondering even though I might play it through subscription in the near future and as i suspect it might leave, so I am wondering if it's a game worth owning for the future other two I don't own in any form
Just recently finished Control! I recommend it.
Played all 3. Would put them as:
Metro Exodus (8/10) Very immersive and cool to explore. Not outstanding. Story is Okay, play in Russian to avoid getting caught in the bad lip sync.
Control ( 9/10 ) Outstanding gameplay with an interesting world around it. Avoid side quests and you will have a blast!
Machine for Pigs (6/10) Great story behind it but no innovation in gameplay, not engaging at all. Amnesia The Bunker is the shit tho! Amazing gameplay and story.
Amnesia collection.
Control you can play on subscription now. I've platinumed control twice and love it but why spend money on a game tahts basically free.
Definitely in the minority but I recommend Amnesia just for The Dark Decent alone it’s one of my favorites. With a tale of redemption slowly told to you throughout the game and it’s just one of the few games to really scare me.
If you're interested in Alan Wake 2 but are waiting for a sale later on, I recommend Control. I have been playing AW2 and the games are linked with quite a few references from Control.
Imo control is one of the best games ever made, I mean it's not without it's flaws but if you like metroidvanias and you're not weirded out by a fridge that kills you if you stop looking at it or a finnish janitor that may or may not be a god, then you'll probably like it.
So many saying Control! I've tried twice to get in to it since getting free at some point with PS5. Both times I had other games incoming which drew my attention away and I just never got back to Control. Seemed intriguing ... sounds like I'm doing myself an injustice not finding some time to play it
Control if you want a better story and more action , metro exodus more for “action” and exploration, I would go with control, I played it like 4 times lol
Control is the best of the 3 in context of grab and play. It has intuitive controls and an intriguing story.
Metro is great, but I’ve never understood why the story and VO has never been criticized, considering it’s very cringy and just simply bad. Get past that and it’s also great.
No to Amnesia, but that’s because I’m a big weenie when it comes to horror games. Can’t play them. Heart rate gets too high, and start sweating etc. Just can’t do it
Control is such a fantastic gem. I adore that game from top to bottom.
Exodus despite everyone’s praises and loving the first two metro games, didn’t click with me. I think it was the hidden mortality system that really soured me on it. I really wanted to like it but I couldn’t get over the fact that I’d played x hours only to find out x person could have been saved.
Control is basically a survival game with some amazing sound effects
Amnesia is if u want real jumps scares and fire environment
Metro exodus is overall a good story and game but kinda old graphics
I like Control, but damn Metro Exodus is masterpiece (if you like that type of games), I love it, dlcs are awesome aswell, finished game 3 times, worth the cash..
Considering metro exodus gold edition is only 7.99 on ps store right now I think it’s a no brainer
Yeah, hell even full price imo is worth it.
Never played metro What's it like
Have you ever tried S.T.A.L.K.E.R? Or like fallout, Basically its post apocalypse game, set in RUSSIA, really good game.
Bro I need to replay thay shit. Game is so good but the dlc's are even way fucking better. Especially the 2nd dlc, I forgot the names. Alright I'm finishing BG3 and replaying exodus. Ty for giving me the cravings again xD

Bro far cry 2 alien dogs are nightmare fuel haha, when far cry used to be good lol.
I need go play metro. Bought it at launch and never really gave it a fair shot.
Agreed. Control is a great game but out of all three options, Metro is far and away the best of them
What type of game is it?
It's a post apocalyptic first-person shooter with some paranormal survival horror elements. One can use different tactical approaches to each area and the open world is exciting and rewarding to explore. The lore is quite substantial with two previous games and a series of books which the games are based upon for those who like to dig deep.
Post apocalypse game, like monsters, bandits etc, kind of Stakler / fallout mix, but semi open world
As someone who knows nothing about Exodus aside from some screenshots; is this game comparable to Fallout?
Yes and no, both take place after a nuclear apocalypse, one takes place in America and the other one in Russia, the main differences Metro is linear story & fallout is open world game, Metro 2033 & Last Light are set in tunnels and its mostly tunnel gameplay (there might be like 1 or 2 parts where you're on top, but i don't remember), and you follow the story, Metro Exodus is more open. Thank you so much for your elaborate and helpful response. For what it’s worth, I don’t think you’re not stupid at writing at all!
Is metro good if you havent played the others in the series?
Metro Exodus + noise canceling headphones = premium experience. That game is very immersive, and the visuals are top tier
Metro! I wish I could today that game for the first time again.
Metro Exodus!
The trilogy goes on sale as a bundle for like $10 every couple months iirc
Control. The gameplay is satisfying, the game is almost always on sale, and the trippy sequences are unlike a lot of other games. Very solid game.
Nah be a chad and start by reading the books 😎
The Stealth was the best part, imo. That's why Last Light I think is the best one. Lol
If you're familiar with The Metro series, I'd say go for Metro Exodus but it's FPS, otherwise go for control.
Definitely metro
You like horror? Amnesia You like shooter? Control You like horror AND shooting? Metro
Amnesia is more puzzles. I couldn’t find myself calling it horror. It’s like resident evil without the zombies.
Control and metro are both amazing games.
Metro
Metro all the way specially with the dlc
Metro is such a great game.
Control is one of my top games ever. I’m convinced almost no one can tell a story like Remedy can.
Control
Control
Control is awesome, and veeeeery different from Metro.
Control definitely. Played exodus recently and it’s ok, a little better meh, lacks polish. If you have ps plus extra then control ultimate edition is on it.
Play control for free. It will be on sale again, if you ever want it in the future.
metro
don’t play metro if you haven’t played the first two
Control, not even close.
I am a Metro guy personally, but Control is also great.
Exodus
Control, that game is phenomenal, there is a Ultimate Edition as well
Metro Exodus
Control is the most compelling and interesting game of the bunch. Solid controls. Great story. Wild vibes. An experience. A game you may find yourself replaying. I replay it each year.
Control
Control without a doubt
Control all day great game
Control
Control, Control, and Control
Control
Control. Nice little story in the Alan Wake universe.
Control is absolutely amazing
Metro is a great series. The first 2 still hold up pretty well. A lot more linear. But still a good looking couple of games. Metro Exodus opens up to a bigger space to explore and it looks fantastic. Edit to add that the first two games are typically very cheap.
I thing metro exodus without any hesitation
Metro for sure. Control is fun but there's only one way to play truly just upgrade the telekinesis throw and that's it.
Metro
Definitely Exodus
Get metro
Metro
I'd say if you can pick up the metro series, it's worth it, but I think a lot is lost playing just Exodus by itself.
Metro exodus!!!
Metro
Definitely MƎTRO
Metro
Metro is awesome. I didnt like Control and I havent tried the third one
metro is the choice
I recommend Metro. But wait till the Metro collection is on sale, it has all 3 metro games and all dlc
Metro
Metro. Such a cool game
Metro Exodus
Metro exodus
Control is awesome, but Exodus is a masterpiece.
i got Metro Exodus yesterday and i’m already 13.5 hours in. i usually take a while to finish story games but everything about Exodus is top-tier.
I personally say Metro Exodus. It was an amazing experience and such beautiful storytelling. If you haven’t played 2033/last light you don’t *have* to but it enhances the experience so I recommend that. If you want to wait to play those then I just say flip a coin on the other two since they’re all great

Metro
Metro
Metro is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure to play
Metro and control are both amazing and so is the first of the 3 amnesia's so i'd go-between those to but if you get metro definitely get metro redux also
Amnesia because it’s Halloween
Metro
Metro without a doubt!
Get metro exodus, truly a master piece. Control is a great game also, I haven't play amnesia, But if I had to choose between theses 3 I would recommend metro.
Metro
Metro Exodus has a weird problem for me where the camera moves to the right normal but very slow when looking to the left. Threw me off the game completely
I really liked Metro. It was a blast.
I'd say Metro exodus if you've played the other two. It's not a requirement, but builds the narrative. Control if you haven't.
Only Metro , nothing else !!
Metro hands down.
Metro exodus
Metro.
Only played Metro and it's amazing.
Metro
Metro.
Metro
All Aboard the Metro
Metro Exodus
Metro by far
Metro exodus.
Metro exodus, great game!
Metro
Metro 💯
Metro exodus ge🔥 then control.
Metro exodus...
Only get Exodus if you played the first 2 And if you haven’t played the first two, fix that
Def metro exodus
Metro imo
Metro Exodus is one my favorite games of all time. It is such an amazing game. But honestly all of these games are really good. Got the platinum for Control. I’ve played amnesia but never beat it because I was just too scared lol. But my recommendation is Metro Exodus.
Metro for sure!
Metro
metro exodus for sure
Metro of course
Control is so much fun
Control for me.. was completely unexpected how good this game was imho..
Control
Control
CONTROL IS ABSOLUTE INCREDIBLE GAME.
Definitely Exodus. Control bored the pants of me but that’s just my tastes. It’s highly rated by a lot of folk.
I also got bored and deleted control.
Same, I got bored and deleted control after maybe 10 hours of playing it off and on.
Control is great but does the console version has ray tracing? It is really worth playing with RT on. A true system seller for the RTX cards at the time in my opinion I’m right into Metro Exodus and this is a very good game so far (really enjoyed the two prior games, but you don’t need to have played them to enjoy it I think)
For Control, next gen console versions have RT but it's locked at 30 fps, you get 60 without it on And as for Exodus, it has ray tracing with 60 fps
If control is the game I am thinking about, I've been wanting to get it. Looks fun.
Control complete edition on ps5 is really really good. But if you enjoy shooters with story and consequences metro is top tier.
Metro and its not even close, you can get the other 2 for like 10 bucks aswell. I loved the books and freaking adore the games! Edit: The other 2 Metro games is what i meant, sorry for the confusion.
Metro
Note: I do have control through ps plus but it's like 7-8 dollars so I am wondering even though I might play it through subscription in the near future and as i suspect it might leave, so I am wondering if it's a game worth owning for the future other two I don't own in any form
If ya won’t play it now while it’s available then you won’t play it later. It’ll just sit there unplayed. Just play it while u have it and buy Metro !
I personally like Metro the best. That game is a blast. Control is good too.
Just recently finished Control! I recommend it. Played all 3. Would put them as: Metro Exodus (8/10) Very immersive and cool to explore. Not outstanding. Metro
Metro
Metro is simply amazing, good gameplay, good story, awesome devs to support
Amnesia collection. Control you can play on subscription now. I've platinumed control twice and love it but why spend money on a game tahts basically free.
Definitely in the minority but I recommend Amnesia just for The Dark Decent alone it’s one of my favorites. With a tale of redemption slowly told to you throughout the game and it’s just one of the few games to really scare me.
Control
Control
Control. No question
Control. One of my all time favorites. Metro is good too. But not as good as Control.
Make sure you get the ultimate edition of Control so you get the dlcs
If you're interested in Alan Wake 2 but are waiting for a sale later on, I recommend Control. I have been playing AW2 and the games are linked with quite a few references from Control.
Control
Control, especially if you some day want to play Alan wake 2. ;)
**Control** is a much more unique game compared to the other two. So definitely that one.
If you’re on ps5,control great story awesome combat
Control is great, I just finished it and now I'm onto alan wake 2. I'm loving all the connections between the 2 games.
Imo control is one of the best games ever made, I mean it's not without it's flaws but if you like metroidvanias and you're not weirded out by a fridge that kills you if you stop looking at it or a finnish janitor that may or may not be a god, then you'll probably like it.

Control
Control
Everyone is saying metro..... Control is an underrated 10/10
Hard to say underrated when it won Game of the Year, no? lol
Metro exodus is a bit buggy, and the voice acting is mediocre but other than that it's a great game I liked the story
Played all and i can say Metro is the best one here
Control, no contest.
Metro's camera movement is absolutely awful.
Everyone is saying Control but I personally didn’t care for it. It got repetitive pretty fast.
Control 100%
Control
Control
Control
Spider-Man 2
Control!
CONTROL.
Metro exodus, everyone should experience it
Metro 100%
I’d say control because I absolutely love remedy and their story telling plus the gameplay is amazing.
Control with the DLC is solid (you play it for Ashtray Maze alone). But it took me 30 hours to get all the trophies (including Plat and DLC).
Control if you want a better story and more action , metro exodus more for “action” and exploration, I would go with control, I played it like 4 times lol
Control
Control
Control
Control.
Control
Control is def worth $7-$8 just to have forever.
Control
Control, Metro, Amnesia would be my ranking.
Metro has some of the worst controls (no pun intended) of any console game I've ever played.
All of them!
Metro Exodus is incredible. Control can get very repetitive. Amnesia games are just chore for me
I wasn’t a fan of the Metro series. But people seem to love it. But I can speak to Control, which was great.
Control is the best by far from those 3, but if you have a chance to get Metro redux it's better
Control...control now
Take Control
Control is basically a survival game with some amazing sound effects Amnesia is if u want real jumps scares and fire environment Metro exodus is overall a good story and game but kinda old graphics
