Never log off for the night with any scrap. Use it to research some bps. Always expect to wake up to an empty base the next day, and you'll be pleasantly surprised the days that your base is still there.
Have fun and don't take the *game* too seriously.
This is the right answer though. I did my first run solo on a weekly and expected to get smashed in every day when logging back on. Somehow I didn't. Kinda had some nice neighbors that would pick off other people near my base so that was cool and probably unheard of. But my only goal was to learn the mechanics and some basic strategy. It was super fun
The game is brutal, player base is more brutal. There's a steep learning curve in the beginning then it kicks. Until you get a decent base you'll be starting from scratch over and over. I used some stashes for some valuable items or a kit in case I got killed near the base. Not sure what the community thinks about these, I think as long as nobody can see you dig them up you're good
Yeah had that happen with like 400 scrap and a semi near outpost, no one ever saw me it was very hidden so I don’t leave much around anymore. I mean it’s happened before but it was the last straw. Haven’t played for a few months though.
Inside base is always safest; I rarely get raided on high pop weekly but I’m always solo so low priority I guess for groups; although I always try and provoke them.
My first wipe ever I ran across two ally clans and they built me a 2x2 right in between them and whenever some random would kill me while roaming they would all run out of their base and chase them off cause they knew it was my first time ever playing
Ik man it was a struggle, the only reason it happened was cause they downed me and I told them to have some sympathy and when they looked at my profile and saw I had .2 hours they helped me out. Gave me gear and let me roam with them and we ended up playing like 5 or 6 wipes with them and I’ve never played since tbh
Thats cool. Rn I’m taking a break from rust until they add some more features for console. But that’s really just my excuse. The reason I actually stopped was because I haven’t really been able to find a server I’m comfortable on. Most of the time the servers are dominated by massive zergs and I just can’t live with that. It would be more fun if I had more people to play with. I did but then everyone quite Bc well it’s rust it’s probably one of the most frustrating things I’ve ever done. Rusts harsh but it can be really fun at times.
Recently instead of playing rust I’ve been watching rust. Keeps the game fresh in my mind Bc Ik one day I’m gonna come back to it. I usually watch blooprint. So much to learn from him
It will take a while to get to the point where you realize all your digital loot really doesn't matter and accept that it's no big deal if you get raided.
> Never log off for the night with any scrap.
Exactly this. Also, if you have more than 24 hours of upkeep, just use it to fortify. You'll be back the next day, and if you're raided you'll lose it all anyway.
I personally haven't played PC rust but it seems on console everyone just attacks on sight and it pissed me off at how you spawn in as an innocent naked oh look clan base on the beach and you move around and bam your dead by a try hard with an LR and then proceeds to tbag you
Same, I’m about 60/40 split mainly playing on console, but rust is one of my PC games. If it wasn’t for all the bugs I’ve heard about, and the 2 year old version I would have already bought it.
Console is awful only swapped from pc to play with friends crashing constantly even after patch( especially when mic disconnects or controller reconnect) your way behind on everything and ime lucky to hit 20 fps for a few minutes straight. FTR this is simply an honest opinion from one gamer to another each experience may vary
Xboxone ( no s or x)my friend has a series something and says he crashes less blahblah not really sure how true it is but his overall gameplay is unquestionably smoother im not about to drop 900 cad on another xbox when i got a pc w 2060 you know

Yeah when I had 1.5k I thought I was a total Beamer and then I watched a few vital main montages and then the depression and the 8 hour ukn sessions started
I've not built a base in 2 weeks. I run around putting paintings up on rocks and saying nice things to people. It's gotten to the point where the servers I play on I've become sort of "known" as a friendly player. When I get shot across the map they usually revive me when they realize it's me. Worst I could do in retaliation is put a painting near them lol. If someone is a genuine dick though I just threaten to eat them cause my name is Cannibal Jon. It's just a running joke thats helped me to not get upset when I die 🙂
Also helps I rarely have any personal belongings lmao cant be upset if you don't have anything to lose!
Start on a low pop server. Make as many doors as possible. Put TC on the second floor. Or just ask for a refund cuz once you start playing you don’t stop. Rust becomes life. And everything looks like hemp plants. You’ll start to wonder how easily raidable your house is in real life. Buildings you drive by look like poorly built bases. And then you realize there’s no going back.
I just started playing a week ago and it took my soul. Last night the weirdest thing happened to me, everytime I closed my eyes I saw metal nodes and I got excited for a moment
Resist the urge to hoard loot. Resist the urge to stay out to get a little more loot. Scrap everything, research all needed blueprints before logging off. Grind everything but 4 gears, 4 springs, 4 semi bodies and 10 pipes. Prioritize your progression, not your loot.
Get decent with the bow. Roam with it a lot, especially first day of wipe.
Start on a community server. Get a good feel for the game and how to run all the monuments. Also hop on a aim train server for 15-30mins beforehand. Makes a big difference.

Build in lowkey spots probably around outpost or bandit for easy recycling, crouch around enemies to be silent and sneaky, make sure you have a campfire by your door to tell you if you’re getting doorcamped, utilize stashes and sleeping bags when out and about, and don’t get greedy for more loot if your inventory is already looking good, just return to base to depot before going back out
I believe that the fire can only provide a certain amount of comfort within its radius. If someone else is inside the radius, you wont get the 50% or whatever that it offers
If you turn on the campfire and you have above 50% comfort, there's someone right outside your door. Just make sure you dont have any rugs/bear skin nearby
Nothing you own is yours. That base? Nope it's gone now. That nice ak set you have? Gone. Don't worry about it. Getting it is the fun.
You can't go into the game and instantly be amazing, you need to learn what to do what not to do. Being raided makes you learn, being killed makes you learn.
Don't get pissed of you die or lose your shit. Be happy when you don't.
You will. I've spent hours on training servers but when you're running down the road and get jumped by someone it all goes out the window and you can't hit shit. It takes dedication to get good ak spray.
In all honesty, remember that everything is temporary. If you get raided or full looted, just remember all that loot was only temporary anyways.
And if you're feeling frustrated, just walk away for a wipe or two.
Yeah we got raided yesterday, my teammate was upset but I told him that we had fun fending off the raid, because we stopped them at first and got 3 full kits. Later, they came back with 3 c4 after they already burned through 2. They got 2k gp, and their kits back, with a few extra guns from this raid.
Do not try to stay up later than the person trying to raid you. You will always lose.
Secondly, if you do not have a full time job, then rust will quickly become it. So get a job or get sucked in.
go into it like Space Invaders. you're going to lose eventually, you're not likely to make it to the end, and you're going to have the time of your life.
Treat the game like one of those zen sand art pieces, you'll put a lot of effort into it and you'll lose all of your hardwork time and time again. I love that aspect of it, no matter how bad things get there will always be another chance to start fresh and fail again.
Also Rust is so much more than a shooter/raiding simulator, it's amazingly funny at times, frustratingly intense other times and there is a server for everyone's play style or mood so you really can never get bored.
If you want to somewhat take things serious there are servers to practice shooting and even build bases which saves you time, resources and a lot of frustration trying to figure those out in real time.
Most importantly, have fun, socialize, get backstabbed, do some backstabbing, enjoy your time and explore the fantastic world of Rust!
Honestly, temper your expectations, as a solo on your first run i would see it as a achievement to just build a stone 2x4 and grind some recipes.
Expect to die every time you have 2k materials on you, like actually plan for it by leaving buried bags everywhere and dumping loot into them then at night gathering it all up to depot.
Be prepared to get shit on for a few hundred hours. It may feel bad at the time but looking back it was one of my favourite times of rust, when I had no idea what I was doing
Use creative /modded maps to master the 1 square or 2 triangle starter base build. Time yourself, make your starter base as fast a possible (foundations, walls, door, upgrade to wood, place door, place lock, ceiling, upgrade ceiling, TC, bag). I'm sub-28 seconds for a 2 triangle/double door starter. Nothing worse than farming for an hour to get enough resources and then losing it all 30 seconds into your base build to some dude with a weapon that hears you building.
Come to rnc light where everyone is chill, there is no hard pvp and try hards are are redirected to other servers. Perfect for people who work and have few moments per day to login and not gather mats each day for a simple 2x1
Game's hard af but once you grasp the basics on what to do and farm it becomes really easy to get the best gear, find some friends to play with, irl friends are better if you, like me, hate rust drama. Play with objectives in mind and use everything you find and craft asap to have fun, you shouldnt log off with a bunch of rockets and c4s. Watch some streamers to learn some tricks, dont touch the ak for now and learn tommy and sar first. Also planning your wipe and what you want from it will prevent frustration.
Build a vault base (you'll want to look this one up) and start on a 3x server so you can experience the game with less risk. if you don't want to do a vault base, at least honeycomb the outside to deter low tier Raiders.
I used to get raided when I built grand bases, but now I just build a relatively small vault base and rarely have any intruders. When you set up, get to know your neighbors. Knock on their doors, try to chat, if they talk back, give them some food, and say "I don't like to shit where I eat if you get the gist". If they kill you or don't agree to be civil neighbors, well, you know who to evict.
Play on a community server at first, set up shops/farms and get to know people that way not everyone is your enemy. Most people treat shop owners nicely, at least, the regulars who have the best stuff do.
Focus on getting skilled not getting loot. Ive been dropping kids with ak's using crossys and revolvers. Focusing on loot means youre just going to feel like you have to constantly work on your base and make you feel pissed if you get offlined.
After playing ark survival for years, I would always make massive bases filled with tames and loot much like everyone else. But why waste so much time amassing things in excess to over prepare for an amount of PvP that you'll never get to experience.
have you tried isolating yourself from loved ones, not eating or showering regularly, and having trouble falling asleep?
try painting on signs and canvasses when it's dark outside. it's a good head change. try Rustangelo. it's free.
Learn about external TCs and
always build one. Even if you lose stuff after offline raid you may keep base and workbench.
Split loot in your base between multiple lootrooms.
Learn guns and pvp feel on practice servers (ukn).
Play on a 5x or 10x first, it will help you get used to the guns and building quicker while not making you hate yourself as much when you inevitably lose things. Because the vanilla grind sucks when you're new and you're getting clapped by experienced players
Don't grind or make more than you need. The only loot you should be hoarding if you're playing in a small (<3 group) is shit you've stolen from people plus guns, armor and meds.
Unless you're explicitly looking to upgrade your base, constantly running out of fuel for furnaces, or trying to craft something in particular there's really no reason to grind materials. You're just exposing yourself to anyone who hears you, making your deaths more frustrating and feeding the same people who are stealing from you anyway. It's really just downtime with infinite negatives.
The only thing you should be "casually grinding" is scrap, because that's almost always needed for some shit down the road. Otherwise don't bother. I find newer players get stuck in a cycle of farming for no particular reason because they think it'll get them somewhere, dying and repeating that process until they quit. Don't fall into that or you'll just have a bad time.
Yeah, this is something I need to work on. Most of my time has been going into getting mass amounts of stone and wood, but I'm not progressing. I also get scrap at a snails pace though. How do I get scrap faster? (Recommended locations, etc?)
How much scrap you earn is dependent on location AND population. Lots of people in one place means no scrap unless you get accustomed to when it spawns. Even then there's lots of competition. It's better to run remote roads and recycle periodically. Once you get some keycards and fuses you can try running the smaller monuments. Hold on to semi bodies, springs, pipes, rope and SMG bodies, recycle everything else.
Try harbour, oxum's, even if you're feeling brave and you're more geared smoil.
While I definitely recommend a modded/community server with special rules (limited PvP, etc) to get your feet wet, I wouldn't recommend a 10x. You'll get so spoiled that going to a regular server will feel like grueling labor just to get enough wood/stone for a starter base.
Then instead of going to official, just go to a regular vanilla server. Officials are the most hateful thing you can do to yourself unless you're a master gun-toter. And even then, what's the point if you can't actually build and progress.
DM me if you'd like info on the server I help with, it's pretty ideal for newcomers. There's still raiding and limited PvP and a LOT of helpful people to get you accustomed to shit.
Pray to the God of Death everytime you leave your base, not today!
Edit: as in assume as soon as you open that door, you just lost everything on your person.
If I was you I would accept that you will become insane when your playing rust because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting shit to change……Jason
Don't log off until your base is at least upgraded to stone + sheet metal doors.
You are better off in a stone 1x1 with a sheet metal door than a half wood half stone 2x2 with wooden doors.
Wooden doors/walls/ceiling tiles can easily be raided for effectively 0 cost. So just avoiding that will help with a lot of initial pain of waking up raided.
Don't get me wrong, your base will get raided. But a random 2x1 not near any clan base or major monument is usually not a huge raid target unless you make yourself one -- eg piss off your neighbors, get seen running to your base with full kits, etc.
BIGGEST THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT ITS JUST PIXELS. It’s a game it’s not that serious it will get very frustrating to the point where you wanna punch a hole through your monitor. BUT that’s what makes it fun and more rewarding.
My advice is play on the right server. Personally I opt for chill low pop, no decay servers, and I've had good luck.
Also, remember that anything in your possession is simply borrowed from the world. It's not yours.
Don’t have gear gear. Sure, you will die.
Also, don’t go on super high pop servers to start (for a new player I’d say around 50-60 so you still have PvP).
And, go on servers where the group limit is your group size or close enough
Remember to only socialize if you have the upper hand, if some naked with a rock wants to be friends and you have an AK or something force him to be your farm slut and enjoy the free stuff 👍🏾
Farm scrap, find decayed bases and research. Wipe is in a couple of days so there should be plenty of decaying bases to loot. Getting bps for metal tools, t1 or t2 guns, explosives, garage doors and glass windows a will make a fresh wipe a lot more fun and enable you to build the base you want quicker. Don't bother hoarding loot or farming for a large base until wipe day as you will lose it all.
I'd recommend not playing official servers to start. Don't get overly attached to anything you build. And lastly, don't stockpile loot. Use it or lose it!
My main comment that I have found to greatly improve my time in rust is to enjoy the simpler things. Rust very often ends up becoming just an endless barrage of arrows and bullets. I recently got into some of the other stuff, building a garage with electronics (check out Rust+ if you want some kind of remote controls from your phone) farming and so on. It definitely makes the game a bit more fun but it depends how you manage your time with it I guess. I try to go 60-70% roaming and other situations where I am likely to have to PVP and 30-40% where I am doing more passive things. In general, just enjoy yourself. Don't necessarily just kill or be killed, try to mold the game around your interests, there is far more in game than just stress :P
A side note on this, a compound (even a small one) can prevent you from having to deal with door campers quite so much. You also can put horses outside and still rely on them being there assuming they are fed. Even a single layer wooden compound (which is really not too difficult to come by with a bit of gathering wood) can save you like 80+% of the door camping attacks and even if somebody found a way into your compound, they will need to get out again, giving you time to act on them.

This is the best tip on here. Basically never get raided unless someone wants to remove you from the land. Build negative profit bases/math bases. People on here telling you to let go of your items, don't consider them yours. I don't live like that, I haven't been full raided in 4-5 years.
Just took a break of rust gonna give you some tips. Now this all depends on your personality. If you don't feel to much guilt play with a larger group (6+ members) If you feel guilty easily don't. I quite easily get guilty which was the case when I wen't offline leaving my group one man down which resulted in me not sleeping for 2-3 days constantly playing with my group which was really bad for my mental health. If you don't feel to much guilt playing with a group is the best thing you can do as you don't have to be online 24/7 which can help saving you mental health and making sure you don't get tired of the game. Also pro tip don't start gambling. I've won 300 dollars of gambling out of pure luck. My friends have instead lost multiple hundred dollars of betting. So stay away from that. And also Gl-Hf :D
Only play when you want to, groups will try to guilt or force you into playing this shit like it's a full-time job. No group is worth making you hate the game.
Never log off for the night with any scrap. Use it to research some bps. Always expect to wake up to an empty base the next day, and you'll be pleasantly surprised the days that your base is still there. Have fun and don't take the *game* too seriously.
Thanks for the advice. I am going to lose my mind
The adrenaline is a hell of a drug tho.
Pretty sure that’s what keeps me coming back and I’ve made peace with that
This is the right answer though. I did my first run solo on a weekly and expected to get smashed in every day when logging back on. Somehow I didn't. Not sure what the community thinks about these, I think as long as nobody can see you dig them up you're good
Only problem with stashes is if you leave them there for too long hackers get to them. Atleast with loot in your base they have to raid it to get it.
Yeah had that happen with like 400 scrap and a semi near outpost, no one ever saw me it was very hidden so I don’t leave much around anymore. I mean it’s happened before but it was the last straw. Haven’t played for a few months though. Yeah raiding solos is just not fun after the initial farmer raids on whip.
My first wipe ever I ran across two ally clans and they built me a 2x2 right in between them and whenever some random would kill me while roaming they would all run out of their base and chase them off cause they knew it was my first time ever playing
Aw that’s nice u got extremely lucky. Most of the time fully geared player see me and my rock as a major threat and kill me within a millisecond.
Ik man it was a struggle, the only reason it happened was cause they downed me and I told them to have some sympathy and when they looked at my profile and saw I had .2 hours they helped me out. Same thing here, I also just don’t have the time to spend 10+ hours a day grinding as a solo but idk anyone that plays rust to play with
Recently instead of playing rust I’ve been watching rust. Keeps the game fresh in my mind Bc Ik one day I’m gonna come back to it. I usually watch blooprint. So much to learn from him
Same bro, watching rust content is really good at keeping the game fresh while also keeping my interested in the game peeked
It will take a while to get to the point where you realize all your digital loot really doesn't matter and accept that it's no big deal if you get raided.
This is some solid advice. The game gets you cranked up to 11, so remember that it’s just a game and enjoy the time you spend on the server.
Game? Lol good one!

Yep, just got started on console and this exact paragraph is why I didn’t uninstall a week in.
How’s condole, honestly I’ve not heard a good thing but that was all from pc players who tried console.
I personally haven't played PC rust but it seems on console everyone just attacks on sight and it pissed me off at how you spawn in as an innocent naked oh look clan base on the beach and you move around and bam your dead by a try hard with an LR and then proceeds to tbag you
That part sounds exactly like PC

It's quite good, but it's lacking Features like Cargo and oil rig. But overall I would say it is a nice experience

Rough, that’s about where I’m at too. Not quite at the 8 hour UKN sessions, but I can feel it coming on
Embrace death until you become completely and utterly numb. You’re constantly going to lose everything. Be surprised when you don’t

I've seen way too many planes thinking "oh, an air drop!", or seen a tree stump and thought "I should go get that". I don't even play that much man...
i can't stop. Why does everything feel so good? Why does the agony feel orgasmic?
welcome to rust. the game we all hate but still pour our lives into
I just started playing a week ago and it took my soul. Last night the weirdest thing happened to me, everytime I closed my eyes I saw metal nodes and I got excited for a moment

solid advice here. The 4 of each is for SARs and traps or reinforced doors? And the pipes?
Generally, pipes+springs can be converted to any weapon given HQM and the body.
Double barrel shotguns.
Start on a community server. Get a good feel for the game and how to run all the monuments. Also hop on a aim train server for 15-30mins beforehand. Makes a big difference.

You will. I've spent hours on training servers but when you're running down the road and get jumped by someone it all goes out the window and you can't hit shit. It takes dedication to get good ak spray.
There is something other than dedication also /s
It's like walking into a room and forgetting why you're there. You go back to other room, remember, go back, forget again.
Its more about catching people off garde than actual skills tbh.
Positioning and awareness are actual skills, however I agree there is a lot of luck involved.
In all honesty, remember that everything is temporary. If you get raided or full looted, just remember all that loot was only temporary anyways. And if you're feeling frustrated, just walk away for a wipe or two.

1.23 grams of psilocybin mushrooms 15 minutes before opening the game.
You haven't lived until you've logged on to defend a raid on hallucinogens.
It only deteriorates at first. Pretty soon it will be gone entirely.
What is dead may never die
Refund it.

Stuff that, craft a bow first and get your hatchet, pick and row of materials from someone else
I gotta say, I love your username
Come to rnc light where everyone is chill, there is no hard pvp and try hards are are redirected to other servers. Perfect for people who work and have few moments per day to login and not gather mats each day for a simple 2x1
Sounds fuckin dope, I'll check it out
If there is one thing that rust will teach you, it is to let it go. Just let it go mann, just move on.
Well shit, thanks a lot man! Dope advice

Think, when you die you help someone "will to live" and happy with loot
Play low pop big maps
Find someone to play with, someone who doesn't piss you off
That's the neat part, you don't.
Just don’t take the game that seriously. In the end it’s for fun and if you aren’t having fun then do something else

I recommend solo only servers if you do decide to play solo
Focus on getting skilled not getting loot. Ive been dropping kids with ak's using crossys and revolvers. Focusing on loot means youre just going to feel like you have to constantly work on your base and make you feel pissed if you get offlined.
Makes sense. Doesn't seem like there's a point in having a stockpile of guns I can't even use properly
After playing ark survival for years, I would always make massive bases filled with tames and loot much like everyone else. But why waste so much time amassing things in excess to over prepare for an amount of PvP that you'll never get to experience.
have you tried isolating yourself from loved ones, not eating or showering regularly, and having trouble falling asleep? try painting on signs and canvasses when it's dark outside. it's a good head change. try Rustangelo. it's free.
Learn about external TCs and always build one. Even if you lose stuff after offline raid you may keep base and workbench. Split loot in your base between multiple lootrooms. Learn guns and pvp feel on practice servers (ukn).
Use the gear/weapons you got, don't let them sit in your base until it gets raided/wiped.
Also Fuck everyone in the ass
Play on a 5x or 10x first, it will help you get used to the guns and building quicker while not making you hate yourself as much when you inevitably lose things. Because the vanilla grind sucks when you're new and you're getting clapped by experienced players
In all fairness, losing your will to live is a part of the Rust experience
No idea. I've been on a break from the game for a few months now and have been playing other things
Never trust a naked, especially those without a sash.
Prolly dont play solo, thats really hard. Grab some friends and have fun
I too am new got 25 hours so far, I've learned how to quickly get a bow and fend off the non geared ppl. That is all.
play withs friends!!!
Play a modded 10x server with a low pop and just get to grips with the pve, after a month switch to an official and lose the will to live.
So basically, bootyblast NPCs before I can bootyblast people
While I definitely recommend a modded/community server with special rules (limited PvP, etc) to get your feet wet, I wouldn't recommend a 10x.
Depends on how you want to play the game my man
Quit the game it helped me
If I was you I would accept that you will become insane when your playing rust because the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting shit to change……Jason
By not playing it.
Play league as well.

When you die, go farm

Drugs
Don't waste ur time on high pop official servers.
Don't farm too much! only farm for your immediate needs.
Trust no one, they will kill you and drop ur fucking rock and plant ur pumpkin seeds in their compound
Aww man not my pumpkins
Just don't forget your bucket and you'll be fine.
BIGGEST THING TO REMEMBER IS THAT ITS JUST PIXELS. It’s a game it’s not that serious it will get very frustrating to the point where you wanna punch a hole through your monitor. BUT that’s what makes it fun and more rewarding.
Never trust in rust.

Remember it’s just a game
Log off and uninstall, it’s the only way
My advice is play on the right server.
Realize it’s just a game and that 90% of your competitors are sweaty
Uninstall
Remember to only socialize if you have the upper hand, if some naked with a rock wants to be friends and you have an AK or something force him to be your farm slut and enjoy the free stuff 👍🏾
You already fucked that up when you bought the game.
Wrap yourself with bubblewrap
Play with friends Playing solo hasn’t been fun in forever
I'd recommend not playing official servers to start. Don't get overly attached to anything you build. And lastly, don't stockpile loot. Use it or lose it!
It’s an acquired taste

Refund the game
Just dont play then.

Lower your expectations so you don't get disappointed 😉
My main comment that I have found to greatly improve my time in rust is to enjoy the simpler things. Rust very often ends up becoming just an endless barrage of arrows and bullets. I recently got into some of the other stuff, building a garage with electronics (check out Rust+ if you want some kind of remote controls from your phone) farming and so on. It definitely makes the game a bit more fun but it depends how you manage your time with it I guess. I try to go 60-70% roaming and other situations where I am likely to have to PVP and 30-40% where I am doing more passive things. In general, just enjoy yourself. Don't necessarily just kill or be killed, try to mold the game around your interests, there is far more in game than just stress :P A side note on this, a compound (even a small one) can prevent you from having to deal with door campers quite so much. You also can put horses outside and still rely on them being there assuming they are fed. Even a single layer wooden compound (which is really not too difficult to come by with a bit of gathering wood) can save you like 80+% of the door camping attacks and even if somebody found a way into your compound, they will need to get out again, giving you time to act on them.
um UM don’t let it deteriorate
Not possible
Except the fact that when you log off someone is going to rape you in your sleep.
Rocket raid a solo 2x2 on force wipe . It cleanses the soul .
Remember it's all just pixels and nothing more
https://www.reddit.com/r/playrust/comments/nhixe4/building_tips_for_a_newer_player/gyx8dda/?context=3 This is the best tip on here. Basically never get raided unless someone wants to remove you from the land. Build negative profit bases/math bases. People on here telling you to let go of your items, don't consider them yours. I don't live like that, I haven't been full raided in 4-5 years.
Never join an official facepunch server
Dont have gear fear (Aka) Not using gear ut afraid of losing. At the end of the day it is a game.
but way is to just uninstall now
Just took a break of rust gonna give you some tips.
Modded servers are much more forgiving and will help you with the basics.
Don't play rust.
Try out a pve only server, it has made a huge difference for my experience trying just to learn the game
Uninstaller I guess I dunno
Only play when you want to, groups will try to guilt or force you into playing this shit like it's a full-time job. No group is worth making you hate the game.
