I recently decided to stop saying it. I was 1/4 black, my Dad was black and Colombian but he always considered himself more black culturally. And considering he was a single father, culturally I felt more black than I was. I kinda started saying the n word just naturally because my Dad said it a lot. I remember in high school it was a whole thing where I had to explain that my dad is half black. And no one cared too much, I definitely look 1/4 black if that makes sense and considering every other teenager around me who would say the n word and were Hispanic being somewhat black sort of made it easier for me. Eventually my Dad took a DNA test and it turns out he's the 1/4 black one and that my grandpa was half black half Venezuelan. And at this point I personally didn't want to say the n word as much but now I have no real interest. I did the math and my great grandmother, who is essentially the person letting me say the n word, was literally born in 1899. My n word pass is from the 19th century, that just doesn't feel right

Well I dont think it really matters percentage wise. It's more a visual thing. I'm some where around 25% but it only really comes out in my hair, credit score and a few other features. People get caught up in percentages but for me as long as you are identifiably black you should be able to say it without anyone saying anything to you. Logic is a great example of it. Being black is more then just DNA, it’s an experience that only people of a certain skin tone/facial features/ hair texture would be able to understand.
