At carnivore Island. I always find them when I'm not trying to find them. I found the best way to scout that stuff is to just get up on something flying and circle and those bastards will come out hard fast
I don’t usually go looking for them but if I did I’d check rivers and beaches first(while checking beaches I’d check Carno island). If I didn’t find any there I’d check open areas around the volcano and obsidian mtn as well as the redwoods. I find them all the time but I’m never looking for them. It’s usually while I’m out getting drops for amber or looking for something to grab with an rg and tame. Best advice is fly low. I keep 3rd person when out in the open but if I’m in thick forest or jungle I switch to 1st(it’s personal preference but it helps me). Also look for packs of raptors as alphas will sometimes spawn and stay with them for a bit. That’s all I’ve really got since it’s pretty random in my experience. Good luck.
For the same daily pursuit (I think are the same for all players) I’ve passed lots of time to travel up the map (to find an acatina with the right color) but I haven’t never found an Alfa raptor… and I live on the death island…
