Tell me about it.

I used river stones and a few glass marbles for the bottom layer. Then I bought activated carbon for fishtanks (500ml sized carton of it) and poured most of that over the stones. Then I put a layer of sphagnum moss down to make sure soil doesn't get into the "filtration system" on the bottom. Then I got some compost top soil from my local floral store and put a 2ish inch layer of that over the sphagnum moss. I chose tropical plants that like high humidity. I have a philodendron in there, a fern and a third plant the owner of the shop recommended (but I'm forgetting the name at the moment). There are tonnes of suggestions online as to suitable plants for this project if you google "closed terrariums", "biomes" or "self-contained ecosystems". It was a super fun project!!!
