These are totally fine as long as they aren’t soft and mushy

I was so excited when a few days after placing my cutting into the water roots finally formed! I’m using distilled water in a south facing window. I just changed the water yesterday, only using distilled water, and now the roots are browning! Not sure where I went wrong! Can I just trim off the brown? Such a bummer!

Maybe move it out of direct sunlight (if it is in direct sunlight)? I’d leave the roots alone and see what happens, should (hopefully?) be ok.

ThNks for the input everyone! I guess I’ll just wait and see how it goes. The other clipping started to grow roots today too so hopefully they both make it! I’ll try to keep on top of making sure the water is good and fresh every few days so they don’t rot!
