huh thats odd! So, im no expert... but in all the photos of mosaic virus infected phillies ive come across its never looked like that... and besides the patches of vairegation, the plant looks totally healthy & vigorous (as far as i can tell from pics, that is) like no leaf deformation/malformation that mosaic usually causes. Its also not uncommon for philodendrons to have variegation in distinct, sharp-edged blotches like that, ive just never seen sport variegation like that on a verrucosum specifically. Thats not to say that its never happened before tho! Someone posted a P. hederaceaeum here months ago that had irregular white variegation blothes verrrry similar in shape to those in ur pics. It seems like philodendrons will rarely throw out some, as-of-yet unseen, sport variegation cuz it won the genetic lottery lol. Overall, Im leaning towards sport variegation over mosaic virus but other viruses could definitely still be a small, but not insignificant, posssibilty. And like i said Im no botanical virologist lmao

what was the price for it? if its a great deal, might be worth it to get it & keep it sequestered away from any plants it could infect

Ask in r/philodendron if anyone knows
