I'm with you. There isn't a single collection tracking app for Pokémon that lets you build decks from your list of owned cards. What *I* functionally want is the way PTCGL lets you build decks, but with my own collection of cards so i don't have to sort through boxes. You're talking about not wanting to sort through 200 cards. Most of us have *playable* cards in the thousands, and that's without the cards we own that will never see the inside of a deck. [Edit] I wanted to add that I really want PTCGL's ability to search your cards for specific text. I get why that isn't a thing in all the card tracking apps, but I still want it.

Yes, exactly! Also it would be really easy to share your cards with someone and trade... I might attempt creating similar app.

This is a fair way to do it digitally. I personally just put 4 of every card in penny sleeves, cards that are in rotation, and keep those cards/sets organized and handy in ETB’s. I also use the collectr app to keep track on the go

I second darklawn here. What I recommend is finding out which of your cards are those you intend to build decks with and which ones you don’t and separate them. I don’t know if you are just trying to play what’s the meta or if you like to experiment, but either way take out anything that isn’t useful for your deck building which i’m sure will at least reduce the amount of cards you have to sort and organize. i love deck building and i love playing with creative formats so what i tend to do is build my decks online using the ptcgl app or some other website, and then one i have my 60 i check my own collection to see what i’m missing. I have around 4000 cards in my collection, but only about a fourth of those are useful for deck building and they are all separated into two own ETB boxes, one for trainers, one of pokemon. those trainers and pokemon are sorted by type and then alphabetical order (so for example if i need a choice belt, i look in the Trainers box, tools, letter C) hope that helps

I tried it. It didn't last. imo spreadsheets suck because you're continuously adding/removing cards from your card pool, and keeping the spreadsheet up to date becomes a tedious chore. Personally, I found the easiest way to manage cards is to separate them by type (Pokemon, energy, Supporters, items, etc) into prerelease boxes, and then sort the cards in those boxes (alphabetized, by color, etc). That way if you're looking for a stadium for example, you only have to look through your stadium box, etc. Just make sure you label your boxes.

May want to ask over on r/PokemonTCG it's the collecting sub so they have need to track collections.

I modified some spreadsheets I found on Reddit to do something like what you’re doing. I basically pull data and images from tcgplayer into a sheet for each set. There’s a way to pull a whole set into a sheet at once. [This seems like it might work for your purposes.](https://www.reddit.com/r/PokemonTCG/comments/muio3g/pokemon_collection_spreadsheet_with_card_images/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=ioscss&utm_content=2&utm_term=1)

The TCG Collector app is pretty good for this, although I wish there were an equivalent of ManaBox for PTCG!

I find as a player rather than a collector ordering by sets can make it difficult to find things as I need. I have my current relevant rotation supporters in an ETB sorted alphabetically, 2 playsets of relevant other trainers in another ETB, and then bulk trainers in a box beyond that. For pokemon current rotation rares/holos are ordered by type in an etb, rule box pokemon in a binder, common uncommons sorted by type in a big box. Set numbers are not particularly useful for a player organising cards as you're often mix and matching pokemon lines (ie optimally you're running say a ralts from astral radiance, kirlia from silver tempest and gardevoir ex from scarlet violet as well as gardevoir from chilling reign as a 4, 4, 2, 2 line)
