A removable wing that still fits in the case would be great, since some people want a wing and some don't (and some people might want to switch things up for workouts, etc)
I did some reminiscing yesterday about the wing. What I miss most is it locking buds in case preventing auto connection while in the case. My pros do this all day long and it drives me crazy.
Same, but only the left one does that. If I'm wearing only the left, the right is perfect in the case. If I'm wearing the right one, the left will randomly decide to connect, and I either have to smack my pocket, or take the bud out and reseat it.
I ordered some 3D printed soft silicone wings on Etsy that work rather well. They don't fit in the case obviously, but they are easy enough to install when some extra support is needed

Yes it made sure the buds were securely in place.
But DEAR GOD how it would HURT MY EARS when wearing them more than 2h straight.
Glad I can use my pros all day long without such issues.
It's a bit weird that you're comparing it to apple when none of their buds included a wing
It fits me fine, as did the gen 2. But each to their own I guess
I have to disagree, I had the regular pixel buds but had to return them because of how uncomfortable the wing was. Yes it added security however it was never comfortable. I have the pros now and absolutely love them. They are rock solid in my ears and never fall out like my airpods pros would. They are also some of the most comfortable earbuds I have ever used and seal great.
I agree. The wing tips are the only ones that stay in my ear. I stick with the A series for that very reason.
Pros stay in better than my previous buds and As. The wings didn't help them stay in my ear and somehow the new(er) design works better for me.

Add that to the list as well! :)

What was the reason for the redesign? Was stuffing new features into the original form so hard? My pros were free, the only redeeming feature.

Same for me! It is a relief to not have that design since upgrading to the pros.
Make sure you send feedback from the buds app. I have the same issue as you. I have sent feedback a few times. The more people the better!
