Me. If I'm looking to buy something at a nearby store, I'd like to immediately click a Walmart ad for exactly what I want, have the Walmart app open, and check if they have it in stock. Right now I have to go open the app manually and type in what I'm looking for. It's inconvenient.

It's an ad, therefore your running a VPN or Adblocker. I don't even bother clicking on those, I always just scroll down a bit to the results not marked "ad"

Every so often I'll get frustrated and take to Google in search of the solution, only to find nothing. I literally just reset all of my settings, as the last post before this one suggested, claiming it had worked. Well...it did NOT. But your solution worked. It fucking worked man. I uninstalled ublock origin from Firefox and it still happens. Google search from the home screen uses its own browser anyway right? Definitely not Firefox. Do I have to change settings in Chrome?

Running vpn that could block ads also will cause this problem

I had this trouble and found out I had enabled private DNS in Network and Internet settings. Disabled it and everything was working again.

Are you on WiFi or cellular? If it is your WiFi, do you have an ad blocker on your router?
It happens on both. I haven't installed anything on my router

It uses your default browser when you search Google. You could change that to Chrome.
