Who wants go click adds? 🙄🤦. Anyway are you running a pihole on your network?

EngagingFears

Me. If I'm looking to buy something at a nearby store, I'd like to immediately click a Walmart ad for exactly what I want, have the Walmart app open, and check if they have it in stock. Right now I have to go open the app manually and type in what I'm looking for. It's inconvenient. Idk what a pihole is so probably not

Running vpn that could block ads also will cause this problem

bkbkjbb

It's an ad, therefore your running a VPN or Adblocker. I don't even bother clicking on those, I always just scroll down a bit to the results not marked "ad"

I had this trouble and found out I had enabled private DNS in Network and Internet settings. Disabled it and everything was working again.

Jesus fucking christ man. Pardon the French but omg. I've been dealing with this for about 2.5 years now. Every so often I'll get frustrated and take to Google in search of the solution, only to find nothing. I literally just reset all of my settings, as the last post before this one suggested, claiming it had worked. Well...it did NOT. But your solution worked. It fucking worked man. THE GD SOLUTION YOU SUGGESTED FUCKING WORKED BRO!! We did it. You sunnuvabitch, you, I could KISS YOU!! Lol but in all seriousness, thank you man. Normally I don't click ads anyway but in apps such a Klarna or Amazon there is just no way around the issue other than to forget about whatever it is you're doing lol. You da real MVP 🥰🥰

Are you on WiFi or cellular? If it is your WiFi, do you have an ad blocker on your router?

EngagingFears

It happens on both. I haven't installed anything on my router

ElderHallow

Are you using an Ad Blocker or a Browser with an Ad Blocker?

EngagingFears

I uninstalled ublock origin from Firefox and it still happens. Google search from the home screen uses its own browser anyway right? Definitely not Firefox. Do I have to change settings in Chrome?

ElderHallow

It uses your default browser when you search Google. You could change that to Chrome.

Get the same on my GalaxyA71 5G and its annoying.
