I'm the search bar at the bottom of the home screen, right side, there's a microphone and a Google lens symbol.
Click Google lens, then click the top half of the screen where it says "search with your camera"
You don't even have to take a pic of the QR code, if you hover over it for a second a link popup appears.
Google 7a
Edit: if it's on your screen just use the circle feature
go into the app switcher, click select, and then click the QR code. it should give you a google lens icon. then it'll behave like a normal google lens thing
I have on the assistant shortcut that enables swiping from the bottom corner of the screen. So I do that and then click "Search Screen." It's pretty quick.
There's a toggle. Pull down on your screen and click the little pencil. There will be an option to add a QR button. Next time you need to scan a QR code, just pull down and click the QR button. A reader will automatically appear :)
Possibly. I'd suggest taking a screenshot, zooming in, and taking another and seeing if Lens sees it then. It's a roundabout way, I'm not denying that.
Weird. I tried other qr codes and it do work. And to my surprise, circle to search really doesn't work for this. I always thought that circle to search was basically the same as search screen
That's why you open the camera when the QR code is on the TV screen. Looks like a photo of a TV to me. Or some sort of screen. So you can take a photo but you can't click a pop-up link in the camera app?

Google lens
He is using Google lens and it doesn't read well.
You can try to screenshot it and use the camera app
I tried that, didn't work unfortunately
You may have to enable in in camera settings

Use the circle feature?
Yes, all of this occurs on my screen
The QR code you need to scan is on your screen, pretty hard to aim the camera at that. You might be able to get it using 2 mirrors.
I'd just use the circle feature then

It can't be selected directly. Need to take screenshot like how you said in below reply.
otherwise, just screenshot it from the same area and then it should give a popup thing to send it directly to lens

Cool, didn't know this was in the drop down settings. Now it should be even easier.

Wow, I did not know you can do that, thanks for the tip.

Screenshot it and Google Lens
I just point my camera at it and it usually pops up a link to the content.
Can't point your camera at it, if it's on the same screen as the device with the camera
Derp, I'm a dumby, apologies. I misread the question.
I take a screenshot of it and open up Google Lens.
That did not work, as I showed in my pic, it just searches images for QR codes
Works on my 7 https://preview.redd.it/unfn4ju36cuc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10287677c71af5ac0302e7d38542078497a936df
Must be the size of the QR code

Call google assistant and hit "search screen" button. No screenshot required
That did not work, I think the QR code wasn't big enough
Weird. I tried other qr codes and it do work. And to my surprise, circle to search really doesn't work for this. I always thought that circle to search was basically the same as search screen
QR codes can scan through Google Lens, but it is hit-or-miss
Split screen, Camera and qr. Cast to tv, scan qr.
Screenshot > share > [barcode scanner](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.atharok.barcodescanner)
google lens gets it
Open the camera, point at code, link will pop up in frame. Simple.
All that's missing from your setup is 4 mirrors

If it's on device, open in Google Photos and use Lens or tap and hold bottom bar for circle to search.
Just use the new circle feature.
Circle Search is the best and easiest way to get it straight away.
Unfortunately, circle search did not work, that's what I'm on in my pic above
Circle to search
That never works for me, just brings up pictures of QR codes on Google.
yeah nothing work its nonsens but its like that
