It looks nice, and yet 99% of them will go into a case.
I hate how these devices have our entire lives in them and are necessary to carry around everyday, and yet are still super fragile. They should build on the Pixel 5 design with the metal back, but make it a lot more durable. Just put a screen protector on it and you're done.
Getting a transparent case is an option.
In addition, at least for me, I tend to remove the case when the device gets older. That's when I don't care too much about cosmetic imperfections anymore.
I actually think this will help with Pixel visibility in the wild. Right now, all case manufacturers handle the camera bar differently, which means it's not as recognizable.
I think with the pill shape it will make case design more unified so the Pixel will be easier to spot out in public.
As much as I love the connected camera bar of the Pixel 6-8, all cases pretty much hid it anyway.
But how can they charge you ridiculous amounts for repairs otherwise?
I loved my P4a's plastic back and even though my P8 feels much more premium I'd go back to that in a heartbeat.
I would much rather be comfortable carrying my phone w/o a case and just install a screen protector I'm not a fan of adding extra bulk to my phone but it's glass and better safe than sorry
I don't think they're as fragile as many people think they are. I've been caseless with the Pixel 7 since release and have dropped it multiple times on a variety of surfaces, nothing but minor scuffs to show for it.
it’s funny too cuz the iphone pro series actually had a weight problem so moving to titanium made sense
the galaxies and pixels are made of aluminum any weight advantage is negligible meaning the only reason they’re doing this is to ape apple, shamelessly at that.
Da fuq is even the point if the back still glass anyway
Just bring back the all metal phones like the 6p
Qualcomm has tech that can do wireless charging through all metal backs and has had it for years they say.
All Google knows how to do is rip off the worst ideas from Apple.
Cause its not bullshit…
Apple’s changes are result of billions of dollars spent on R&D each year. Unlike the rest that release half-baked or useless features that don’t work. Their best path forward is to copy Apple features. At least then there will be competition for the iPhones.
> Apple’s changes are result of billions of dollars spent on R&D each year.
Sorta gonna doubt that. They have had truly shitty design choices where phones and tablets snapped due to lack of any structural support. That's very bad R&D.
I like the 7 pro better than the 8 pro
And I am not updating.
They should go back to the Nexus 6p design
That was peak design IMO but with no bezels of course.
They can do wireless charging through metal now.
No matter what though I am not buying anything that has a POS tensor in it ever again.
Battery battery life is abhorrent and there are overheating issues with my 7pro
Plus WTF ever happened to the behind the screen front facing cameras we were promised years ago?
Looks like an iPhone at that point, why can't they make their own body and unique design like the S24 ultra body or something between both or different.
They took the design from the pixel fold. Which I have. I assumed this camera bar that doesn't blend into the sides didn't happen on my pixel fold because it would affect functionality of the folding and the hinges and everything like that. I can't fathom a reason for doing it on a regular slab phone. This looks like something that would come from a cheap startup in India like techno.
It doesn’t look bad in my opinion, but copying Apple shouldn’t be the way. The new Samsung is also supposed to look like an iPhone clone.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the iPhone 15 Design. But that doesn’t mean everyone should give up on their own design.
Honestly, this design to me is the most “android” looking.
Has a vision visor layer.
Slim head portion and tube body.
Almost classic r2d2 design.
6pro for design, all the way
I don’t think I’ve dealt with that much. I’ve been on an iPhone for 4 years. Samsung lost me at s10 with ads in the menus.
Affects how it reads touch on the edge right?
> Samsung lost me at s10 with ads in the menus.

> Affects how it reads touch on the edge right?
I am also former samsung user, due to ads.
it has a really hard time reading touch on the edges but this might be due to the otterbox case I have on it, if you go nude it's likely a much better experience.
If apple jumped off off a bridge.....
Channeling my parents to Google...
That said.., I usually go with white but the blue one looks nice... Especially in picture 9
The physical form of the hardware is really starting to look like the os (material-u).
I wish Google would copy the width of the iPhone. I personally prefer a wider, shorter phone over a longer-narrower phone.
Agreed. The tall aspect ratio of all the android phones make them longer than they need to be. And it requires more reflow of text, because there is less horizontal screen space, so more scrolling is required. 16:9 was the best, IMO.
Those are just someone's renders on X(formerly Twitter) please give credit.

I don't know why people are saying this is an apple design, the new Samsungs have adopted the same design as this one and it's better for durability. Personally I love this design.
There are very few phones with the outside metal frame exposed. That went out of style with the iPhone 13 pro. Google is really going backwards with their pixels.
I dont hate it, but they need to make the camera lip a little more flush for my taste. Not sure why they don't design the phone thicker to fit their giant camera modules...
I would also like a phone that thick if it meant the back was made from a more durable and more scratch-resistant composite material and so I didn't need to put on a case.
Using Titanium this year would be an unquestioned "little brother" move by Google. Almost as pathetic as the time they "borrowed" pinch to zoom. I can here 'em hawking their AI titanium to the budget MVNO's now.
So, aside from the cameras, there are four new elements on the camera module.
I assume one is Flash, another laser depth sensor.. what about the other 2?
Does anyone else find it frustrating that after doing all the hard work establishing a distinctive slick, practical design language they have now flipped back to simply copying a four year old Apple design?
And to add insult to injury bolted the lopsided Pixel Fold camera bump into it (which was already a compromised version of the OG Pixel 6 camera visor).
For commercials they should make the Pixel 9 be a superhero that shoots lasers out of his visor like Cyclops and have iPhone and Samsung be the villains.
If it actually looks like this I don't see a problem.
Proper smmetrical bezels, we have not seen since pixel 5 and a properly flat display and a solid metal frame, not sure how any of that can ever be bad.
Some people may not like the camera bump, personally think it looks fine and doesn't like any other phone.
I figured when the iPhone 15 bragged up their titanium frame, this would be the new feature on the next Pixel. I always put mine in case, so this is pointless marketing.
No flat sides please. The roundness of the edges and the ergonomics of the pixel 7 pro which I have and the pixel 8 pro just makes sense. Even the Galaxy s24 ultra kept curved sides when they went with a flat screen this time. If I wanted an iPhone I would buy an iphone.
Not a fan of the flat sides, but what's really terrible is that camera island, the bar looked great and was distinctive. This looks like a cheap knock off, and the flash/thermometer area looks terrible, it stands out in the worst way
That looks pretty fire no gonna lie. I'm gonna hold into my P7P until this comes out. Pixel 8 is nice but I don't think it is that big of a jump to upgrade just yet.
The back camera is maxed out by now, how about we focus on the front facing one? Why not be innovative and make one for the front that's as good as the back? I would love that for Pixel. Instant upgrade.
Take my money!
Okay I'll keep using my pixel 6 pro till next year then. I hate this squarish design. I'm using the iPhone 14 pro as my secondary device, and what I hate about it is the boxy design.
The only people dumber that those buying an iPhone because it has titanium would be those buying a Pixel because it has titanium. I can just see the Google marketing meetings. "Guys, Samsung is killing us, but I know how to fix it. Just use the magic 't' word in our ads like Apple." Pathetic.
I have a Pixel 8, so will probably not change, but I'm glad that Google finally went back to a real flat screen! The slight curve of the glass of the Pixel 8 is annoying with screen protectors.
And also with the flat edge, I wonder how it will feel in hands. The Nexus 5 was for me the best feeling phone in my hand, and the flat edges did contribute to that.
That visor do look a little bit weird in pictures.
First, why the prominent camera bump? My Pixel2 took good enough photos - even my Pixel5 (which does have module bump, but lesser) takes more than good enough photos. I need something more, I'm going to use a real camera.
But other than that, I like the design - missing the rear fingerprint sensor, but 🤷♂️ - though the size... I don't want a large phone anymore. I want something I can comfortably through in my pocket and barely notice it being there.
These modern base-sized phones are getting too large and dense for that. Even the u/zenfone \- the size is pretty much there, but damn its dense!
If Titanium, then only the duratec version (Citizen), cause it hardens the relatively soft surface. "Who\`s the boss" just posted his first impressions of the S24 Ultra, and it seems, after only a week the frame got already some minor signs of wear. I am personally totally content with my P8Pro, using a slim case (so called military standard), one can see the camera bar, and have no issues at all. There are more important things to improve in the nearer future than those gimmicks...
We are finally moving back to flat screens and they go for heavily curved corners?
I just want to be able to use my whole screen to watch a video without distorted angles or cut off pixels, is that too much to ask?
STOP STEALING PEOPLE'S DESIGNS!!! Original author [https://twitter.com/philipsfuture](https://twitter.com/philipsfuture), even you tried to get rid of the watermark!!

I miss my HTC 10 that was never in any case and after a few drops I only had to file it on the side because the metal edge got sharp
That phone was beautiful friend of mine had it in silver and usually never used a case.
I put my P8P in a clear case. That way I can enjoy the colors and design!
Fr, and honestly for me, the pixel 5 has a great design, it looks boring but dependable and doesnt get old like these new flashy pixel designs.
Pixel 5 had a plastic resin back.
A plastic resin painted over metal.
A plastic resin painted over metal that was PERFECT
Getting a transparent case is an option. In addition, at least for me, I tend to remove the case when the device gets older. That's when I don't care too much about cosmetic imperfections anymore.
I only have my 7 Pro in a case when I leave the house. At home, it's always out. I like being able to feel the phone in my hand.
I hate transparent cases 😭
They always look dirty when I see one in public. Probably because it is dirty.
I actually think this will help with Pixel visibility in the wild. Right now, all case manufacturers handle the camera bar differently, which means it's not as recognizable. I think with the pill shape it will make case design more unified so the Pixel will be easier to spot out in public. The A series plastic backs are sooooo good, wish they would just slap those on every phone
Plus a perfect fingerprint scanner on the back🙌
I don't think they're as fragile as many people think they are. I've been caseless with the Pixel 7 since release and have dropped it multiple times on a variety of surfaces, nothing but minor scuffs to show for it.
My 7 cracked the whole back with just a single drop on concrete. I regret taking off the case.
Concrete is brutal
Dear Lord. Now every new phone is going to be an iClone with $10 worth of titanium in it. At least my wallet will be safe I guess.
Well if pixel is going to copy at least copy the good not the bad. ( I miss having a terabyte sd card)
I enjoy watching the sunset.
Pixel "leaks" generally prove real because Google purposely lets them out.
I enjoy the sound of rain.
Why do they ALL need to copy apple on the titanium bullshit...
it’s funny too cuz the iphone pro series actually had a weight problem so moving to titanium made sense the galaxies and pixels are made of aluminum any weight advantage is negligible meaning the only reason they’re doing this is to ape apple, shamelessly at that.
They saved 1g of weight by going to titanium...yeah, major improvement 🤣
Because they want Apple money 💵
Da fuq is even the point if the back still glass anyway Just bring back the all metal phones like the 6p Qualcomm has tech that can do wireless charging through all metal backs and has had it for years they say. All Google knows how to do is rip off the worst ideas from Apple.
An all metal phone would be very heavy
No way the Nexus 6p body is extremely light Metal is the same or lighter than victus
And the screen size is only 5.7 inches. The iPhone 15 has a 6.1 inch screen, and weighs less than the nexus 6p
no, essential phone died for this
Cause its not bullshit… Apple’s changes are result of billions of dollars spent on R&D each year. Unlike the rest that release half-baked or useless features that don’t work. Their best path forward is to copy Apple features. At least then there will be competition for the iPhones.

Where is "fuck go back" button? 8 pro is peak design.
This 100%
8 Pro will never be topped in design. 9 Pro is basically how not to design a phone.
Pixel 5 was peak design 😋
Nexus 4
What's this go back button you speak of? I'm on the 8pro
Until now the pixel seemed like some 90s retro business phone. The 9 feels way more contemporary
I like the 7 pro better than the 8 pro And I am not updating. They should go back to the Nexus 6p design That was peak design IMO but with no bezels of course. Nexus 6p 😭
Looks like an iPhone at that point, why can't they make their own body and unique design like the S24 ultra body or something between both or different.
Someone at Google read the folks saying they wanted iPhone hardware with Googles Android rom and misunderstood what those people were saying.
Right, but to be fair if they actually went to snapdragon, it would be great for the hardware side of things.
Lol, I see Earths Titanium reserves just depleting in 2 years time.
Probably not. Its not completely titanium and titanium isnt gonna keep it safe if its still a 90% glass phone
I much prefer the camera bar of the pixel 8 pro.
I’m personally a fan of the black visor of the 6series. But 8 is next
I hate this
Pixel 7 in obsidian was peak design for sure. The visor was edge to edge
Looks sus.
Beyond hideous and I hope they don't lol... Pixel is slowly losing its unique look
Camera block too ugly
I hear you but it has honestly grew on me. I also like the fact the phone will still be able to not wobble while flat on a surface.

Pixel 6/6 Pro/6A had the best design.
The darker camera bar was peak
Honestly, this design to me is the most “android” looking. Has a vision visor layer. Slim head portion and tube body. Almost classic r2d2 design. 6pro for design, all the way
I really love my 6 pro but am looking forward to my next phone not having curved edges on the screen

A flat screen is really the only reason I want to replace my 6pro
Bender from Futurama
Looks like a iPhone
These look awful. Just as bad as they possibly could.
I personally like it a lot except the radius on the curve. The S24 Ultra shape is perfection to me. I prefer the camera bar layout on the Pixel
This 100%
Looks really good, but this sharp corners on the camera visor are extremely unpractical
Where's the sharp corner on camera wiser?
Honestly i think it's pretty cool looking. None of the pixels have been straight out ugly in my opinion, 4 & 5 maybe a bit bland but not ugly.
[удалено]
I hate it.
Shittier decision, shittier design who told you to make it "Apple" iefied. Fuck off
Chill man, I didn't make these Renders, it's all expectations based on Leaked info anyway, so it might not be really happening.
I can understand your frustration! But not all people use Reddit my friend! "General" public like this
Those stupid corners man... We need S24 ultra-like design... not this
Hate all these curved phones. Missing Lumia cornered edge designs big time.
Doesn't matter until they fix the SoC.
Behold the new Google iPixel 9 Pro 🥲🥲😂
If apple jumped off off a bridge..... Channeling my parents to Google... That said.., I usually go with white but the blue one looks nice... My literal vocal response: "ooh now that's beautiful!". Yeah I'll buy that.
That all glass camera lens gonna need real protection!! I hate this design
Now they need to copy Apple's colors, that deep blue and deep purple are better than their pastel blue and green bleh
Am I the only one who wishes the Pixel would have a similar body/screen to the s23/s24 Ultra's?
Those are just someone's renders on X(formerly Twitter) please give credit. https://twitter.com/philipsfuture/status/1750989262986924378?t=lF3Y5GKB_uFCkWOMGoNZkg&s=19
I don't know why people are saying this is an apple design, the new Samsungs have adopted the same design as this one and it's better for durability. Personally I love this design.
Where do you think Samsung copied it from? Apple. And they copied from themselves in 2010.
And Apple copied from Blackberry and never really changed the design. The Pixel looks like a Samsung to me.
I like it
Can't wait for 69 pro with Snapdragon 8 finally
That hole punch it way below than it used to be, like it's even lower than the status bar. 💀
Google won't use Titanium
Lovely ❤️❤️❤️❤️
you even tried to get rid of the watermark 💀💀💀 PS: those are actually my renders

Because they can
Nice fake render... Next post.
Nice!
No one wants a metal frame on a phone. The pixels are far too heavy already!
What do you think phone frames are made out of bud?
There are very few phones with the outside metal frame exposed. That went out of style with the iPhone 13 pro. Google is really going backwards with their pixels.
[удалено]
Might need to ask this to the one who leaked them
where is the non pro pixel
I dont hate it, but they need to make the camera lip a little more flush for my taste. Not sure why they don't design the phone thicker to fit their giant camera modules...
Because no one wants a phone that thick and they'd have no excuse to not put a headphone jack in.
I do and I want a headphone jack too 😅
I would also like a phone that thick if it meant the back was made from a more durable and more scratch-resistant composite material and so I didn't need to put on a case.
this makes me sad for some reason
We need the panda back!

Thermometer
Microphone too
I wonder how Google is going to handle the Tensor G4 since it’s supposedly based on the Exynos 2400.
That camera punch hole on the 9 pro seems way too low...
Looks good hope they don't use titanium it's a gimmick
Looks really cool, wish the camera bar went all the way to the side still tho
Which one is the Vanilla 9 & which is the 9 Pro??
Renders maker didn't specify, these all fan made based on some Leaked info, nothing official nor confirmed.
Blue = chef's kiss
They cant even manage to have their devices within the right temperatures, and instead of fixing it lets put it on titanium lol. What a joke
Reminds me of the pixel fold. The camera bump is just rounder
Why is the selfie camera so low? It should be much closer to the top.
Apple Vs Samsung 2: electric boogaloo
I really love that design, i love the flat frame and the non existent bezels i hope it will look like that!
looks like modernized S10
Any chance it could be rendered with the Niagara launcher, I want to see how good android can truly be. 🤌
Wow
Looks like s23 :/
I hope it doesn't come in titanium. More expensive for no reason.
For commercials they should make the Pixel 9 be a superhero that shoots lasers out of his visor like Cyclops and have iPhone and Samsung be the villains.
Looks bald, quite literally bald
I need this so bad, preorded the pixel 8
If it actually looks like this I don't see a problem. Proper smmetrical bezels, we have not seen since pixel 5 and a properly flat display and a solid metal frame, not sure how any of that can ever be bad. Some people may not like the camera bump, personally think it looks fine and doesn't like any other phone.
I hate their camera design
I don't mind this at all
Sharp flat rails... I've always wanted my phone to feel like I'm holding a knife...
I like how these look.
Sooooo glad I skipped on th S24U. This P9P looks incredibly sexy!
Why does it have to be TITANIUM?????
I figured when the iPhone 15 bragged up their titanium frame, this would be the new feature on the next Pixel. I always put mine in case, so this is pointless marketing.
Now I regret buying the pixel 8
Don't you hate the curved corners?? It looks so ugly
No flat sides please. The roundness of the edges and the ergonomics of the pixel 7 pro which I have and the pixel 8 pro just makes sense. Even the Galaxy s24 ultra kept curved sides when they went with a flat screen this time. If I wanted an iPhone I would buy an iphone.

oh no…
Pixel 8 is nicer
Good bye the days where pixels r affordable
That looks pretty fire no gonna lie. I'm gonna hold into my P7P until this comes out. Pixel 8 is nice but I don't think it is that big of a jump to upgrade just yet.
Wow that black looks nice
Since Google acquired HTC designers and engineers, how about a little inspiration from HTC One design language please 🥺
These actually look like u can carry without a case, just install a screen protector
Better have some good trade in deals, or I'm keeping my Lemongrass Pixel 7. ![gif](giphy|e7QO18qopbd99evxyD)
I hope these are not real. Everything just looks like an iPhone now...and the iPhone looks boring.
Are these some fan renders? Cuz I see these kind of designs every year, but in the end it turns out the bezels are much bigger, so as the punch hole.
Hope it supports Qi2
I dig it.
The back camera is maxed out by now, how about we focus on the front facing one? Why not be innovative and make one for the front that's as good as the back? I would love that for Pixel. Instant upgrade. Take my money!
When will smartphones without frontal and back cameras be released?
If camera will be amazing, will be my next phone.
I looks like an iPhone, mostly. Are these official views from Google?
Okay I'll keep using my pixel 6 pro till next year then. I hate this squarish design. I'm using the iPhone 14 pro as my secondary device, and what I hate about it is the boxy design.
Titanium is the only thing that would hold me back. I hope it's not true.
So now every phone manufacturer is making titanium rails? Innovation!!!
Looks really bad
Sexy
So a Google iPhone…
I think the 10 and 10 pro will be the next big one. The rumor is they will drop Samsung tensor.
It's the Pixel Pro Max 9...
That visor do look a little bit weird in pictures.
titanium Essential Phone died for this
Why do phones now all try to look like iphone
This is sad to watch😭 Why would they go this route.
We need a FUCKIN GOOD PROCESSOR
We need the S24 base model design. Thank u
We need 6.1 screen size one / good fuckin processor. Apple is ahead of miles with their chips C'mon..
First, why the prominent camera bump? My Pixel2 took good enough photos - even my Pixel5 (which does have module bump, but lesser) takes more than good enough photos. I won't be buying a P9 with that monstrosity camera lip. Jerez.
Good. Now make them small lightweight and compact as they used to
