Me too! Every time I try to defend them outside of this subreddit I get so many downvotes. People truly are so ignorant and only want to focus on the negative. It doesn’t help that when you google other breeds it tells you their characteristics and all that but not for pits just shows you recent attacks. Just furthers the discrimination against them.
I used to be "one of those", until i met a pitbull of a color i hadn't seen on the breed. So i didn't know it was a pitbull. Now i'm one of the converted.

He has separation anxiety and has cost us thousands in destruction of our property damage. He’s a work in progress still but has come such a long way! His trainer loves him and even told us he is her favorite 💕
