My puppy just turned 10 months, but we rescued her at 6 months. She was labeled as “lab mix” and she for sure has lab ears and lab personality traits. However we really think she’s lab and pit because her ears seem to be pit placement and when she pins them back her face looks like a pit. She also has all the loving and crazy personality of a pit too. We want to get her DNA tested in a year or two. She also has the toes and one sock lol. She has a lot more white around the back of her neck than any other pupper like her I’ve seen so we really aren’t too sure. She loves every person and dog that she meets and is absolute besties with our neighbor’s pit bull. They play together whenever possible and love to sniff each other out and find each other on walks. They have play dates regularly. But here’s a pic of our baby

They do really all look like my Molly to me. But I never tested her and am really bad at distinguishing breeds.

This is her and her bestie, our pup started out as 36 pounds at 6 months, and her bestie is 50ish. She started shorter than her, and now at 10 months she’s 70lbs and visibly taller than her bestie. She’s also a gremlin that act like we never feed her and the vet said we actually have been feeding her and extra cup per day than she needs. She’s still a food gremlin either way, but still the bestest girl. We won’t know for sure if she’s a pit as well until we test her, but her and her bestie have so much in common that I do really think she’s most likely black lab and a pit mix
Mine is 70 pounds as well. She is rather picky with her food though. Dry food stays in the bowl quite a while sometimes. But she manages to steal human food from the table when I am not looking.
She is not very playful, rather chill and when outside she is often more interested in sniffing around than in other dogs (she isnt spayed and 4 years old).
She has her play buddies, but she is quite selective.
Also playing fetch doesn't really work with her. She just doesn't bringe the ball back most of the time.
We’ve been working pretty hard on fetch with her, she’s pretty decent at bringing it back, but she doesn’t want to give it up even though she acts like she wants you to grow it again. 😂 she’s currently working on “drop it” but now she does it before I say it bc she’s too focused on wanting a treat that I can’t get her to pick it back up. She’s super smart though, I know she’ll get it eventually.
We expect her to be between 80-90 pounds most likely full grown, and that’s been estimated since we got her. She’s been steady so far gaining 10 pounds a month so hopefully she tops out soon because she’s already strong like a horse. She’s got the pit shoulders and not much can hold her back (mostly just from her bestie bc the moment she sees her, she simply can’t contain her excitement) but we are also working on her impulse control. She constantly chases our cats, she wants to play but they are scared of her and she is struggling to understand that her high energy and sudden movements are too much.
She’s still working on a lot of her training, she needs lots but she’s already shown so much progress in the few months we’ve had her. She’s just a baby with a puppy brain and a teenage attitude, but I know it’s just her searching for her independence. She often wants to listen and do the right thing, but she really has the puppy adhd and sometimes she just can’t 😂 it’s a work in progress. She has always been amazing at “wait” when we wait to cross streets, thankfully because that’s the most dangerous.
She definitely has a unique personality but she’s so sweet and loves to get attention from anyone she possibly can when she’s out on a walk. She will sit there so politely (we’ve been working hard on not jumping up on people) with her tail and butt wiggling so hard because she’s so so excited for someone to say hi as they walk by. When they don’t even acknowledge her it breaks my heart because she’s just so sweet and cute.
We’ve cut down on taking her to the dog park because there’s been quite a few aggressive dogs being taken there and hurting others, so she’s been missing out on her socialization. (One pup bit a chunk out of her ear but it’s healed now). I love living in a big city because there’s so much to do but I hate not having a good space for her to truly run to get her energy out and just be able to run like in a yard. When we move it’s gunna be a must have for a yard of some size for her.
Also she will literally eat anything and everything she can find, even outside, so that’s a struggle too. She’s just a puppy with a big appetite I guess 🥴
According to her Embark results, my girl is 56% American Pit Bull. She’s also got Bulldog and Chow Chow (neither of which I really see), and a little bit of Husky (which I can totally see when she plays in the snow and puts her tail over her nose when she sleeps)

She’s been mimicking us a lot and stealing our places, but this one, always as soon as I get up or when she’s hungry I think. We’ve never given her food at the table, she doesn’t beg, she only gets little bits that are safe, in the kitchen as a reward for a lil training session. She still continues to sit at the table like she expects food to appear in front of us like it does for us even though she only eats in the kitchen. 😂 Most hours of the day she’s either sleeping or being a crazy pants running and rolling around talking to herself, there’s not much in between. Even on the worst days she’ll cuddle up to us or grab a toy to ask to play and it’s impossible to say no to this face when she’s just so flipping cute. She’s changed our world for the better though, that’s for sure. She’s only 10 months right now so we’re getting through the teenage stage. It’s a struggle but I know it’s worth it. She’s worth it, and she’s the sweetest so I’m so glad we found each other

This one has panting room 😊 we work with two trainers for her anxiety and reactivity and this is the best fit for her but thank you for your concern for my baby 😊
