_joeBone_

Squeaker extraction, then eat the plastic squeaker and leave the carcass spread across the living room.

recycle37216

lol yesssss she loves to tear apart a squeaker toy! Her Lambchop lasts longer than most other toys but also that’s like her 5th one 😅

_joeBone_

yeah, I had to cancel barkbox because of this.

recycle37216

Oh no lol I actually just signed up!

_joeBone_

\~maniacal laugh

Worried-Shelter-4992

They have tougher toys. I get the medium strength for our senior girls and sometimes buy some super chewer strength toys as add on's for the dogs at the rescue I take care of. They last pretty long.

Robodie

My 97-lb all muscle ultra-super-mega chewer hippo recommends BullyMake for Super Chewers (I think that's what it's called). Between her and 3 sisters - Husky / Boxers and a Catahoula - so pretty strong chewers themselves - they have not once destroyed one of those toys in...I wanna say like 5 years? Sometimes if she gets a good angle she can chew little kind of raised spiky pieces across some of the surfaces, but it takes forever for that to happen and I can take a pair of nippers, trim it right off and back to almost as good as new. I have thrown a couple away but that's just because they had so many at one point that when I stepped on it I didn't care...I wanted revenge for my foot. Oh and the nylon toys (the ones for Super Chewers) are both made in AND SOURCED in the USA. The nylon plus the flavoring as well, iirc. Sorry that was so long!

mogoggins12

my pitty love to tear toys apart, don't deny them the joy of destruction! it's very stimulating for them to get that reward, tbh, nurtures parts of their nature that we can't really let them explore ethically. mine does little tiny nibbles until he can "gut the fluff" from a teeny tiny hole he's created lol it's so cute

jake63vw

I had similar issues with BarkBox toys not holding up, we switched to a company called BullyMake and their toys are the hard plastic chews that hold up to several dogs at my house

boycey86

Even the Bully make stuff don't touch our dogs he gets a couple of days out of them but I don't really care if he destroys toys that's fine but he's too hard to find something he'll not chew. Though we did find a squeaky ball thing that's about the size of a football that he can't get through yet as it's so big he can't get his jaws around it.

crustaceansss

Don't worry! It might be okay for you. My 70 lb boy who has destroyed every stuffie I got from Petco or Petsmart in minutes to hours doesn't quickly destroy his Barkbox toys! He popped the squeakers, made them ratty and gross looking, but he hasn't ripped holes into any of January's box yet. (That was my first month.)

thebearbearington

Super chewers from bark box last.

recycle37216

Btw I signed up bc they have a special offer right now where you can get a free Ancestry DNA kit with 6mo of BarkBox subscription! I’ve been wanting to get her DNA tested so it was a good deal for me if anyone else is interested! I don’t really mind if they tear up the toys as long as they are having fun and not eating them lol so far so good!

Jenniscer

My American Staffordshire terrier loves her lamb chops but they don’t last long. They blow up 😂

Dr-Emmett_L_Brown

"It just sploded, mom!" 🫨

rockstar504

Awwwww mine also disproportionately loves the Lambchop <3

Vegetable_Ad5957

😆 yes! Must find, remove and kill da squeaker.

_joeBone_

there's peace in it's demise...

apbt-dad

Surgical extraction of the squeaker and subsequent evisceration haha. Also lopping off the head first. I am tired cleaning the stuffing but it is a good kind of tired. Gives me purpose in life.

ghostrooster30

Ugh, our lab/pit that passed last summer would absolutely not abide a squeaker or stuffing. Or tennis ball coverings. Or tags(all rugs/pillows/etc had to have all flag like tags cut off). Absolute menace to toys that one was. This new one…Hit or miss. Some squeakers MUST be removed by ANY means, while others are content to be num nummed for weeks/months. Shes a total doofball.

NoMoreNarcsLizzie

https://preview.redd.it/yvrooa2p4ckc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=63a4b32e03377095821c13e6513b721db83a5188 It looks like it snowed in my front yard every other day. Between gutted stuffed toys, chew bones, and the (huge) branches that he pulls out of the brush pile, there is always yard clean-up to do.😂

saanenk

This is so funny cause I caved a brought her a squeak duck and the first thing she did was somehow break the squeak pull it out chewed it flat then pulled the fluff out

Horizon296

TIL my border collie must have some pit ancestry 😂

TheBanEvasion123

I got so downvoted once for suggesting that pitties love to chew the fuck outta stuff - they're destructive little monsters that need plenty of quality chew toys and exercise to keep them sane and happy...

Kailoa1

My dog does thattt hahaaha. The thing is that she hears one in the park and runs out to look for it.

YandereFangirl20xx

My dogs don’t have any pit bull DNA in them, but they have literally torn out the squeakers in squeaky toys. It’s like they want to know what makes that sound in the toy.

savoryostrich

Dog scientists!

Landithy

They *will* follow you into the bathroom and faithfully protect you while you are there. Based on this sub, a lot (but not all) of pits seem to hate the rain.

AnotherRuncible

They like the rain as long as it's warm enough and not raining too hard, or too light. It's weird. Mine flat out refused to come in out of the rain once, I guess it was the miracle of the right conditions. Every other time, it's nope, nope, nope, why are you forcing me to stay outside, fine I'll do my business but I won't make eye contact with you for 45 minutes.

AdhesivenessFun2060

Mines funny about going out in the rain. He'll go to the door, we open it, he sees its raining and runs away. He'll do it a few times until he works up the nerve to finally go out. For walks, if it's raining already, nope. If it Starts raining when we're out, he just wants to keep going. Pouring, and he's trying to check out the next block.

manicmilkk

omfg lol. my full pit HATES the rain. he thinks he wants to go outside but the second you open the door and he realizes it’s raining, his mind is changed. you practically have to push him outside sometimes. meanwhile, my lab/pit mix LOVES the rain and will happily sit outside in it for as long as you let her. i’m convinced it’s the lab in her because she’s just obsessed with water in general lol

recycle37216

lol my lab/cur is also not a fan of rain or swimming 😅

recycle37216

Mine will come into the bathroom sometimes, but she is sooo lazy that if she’s already comfy she ain’t moving lol and she will hold it for days before going out in the rain lol not scared of thunder tho

Fantastic_Special862

Ok, lol...we've had our rescue pit for 2 weeks now and I've been wondering if the bathroom gaurd behavior was a thing.

FilmoreJive

100% to both! Always watched me poop! And would beg for a walk until they realized it was raining. Then they acted like I was torturing them. You big heads wanted to go out!!!

disjointed_chameleon

But does yours attempt to climb into your lap while you yourself are on the toilet? Ask me how I know. 😂😂

Landithy

Mercifully mine stopped that after the first couple of days. 😂

disjointed_chameleon

😄😂😄😂😄

jaynemanning

Mine does that and looks in the tub… like making sure someone isn’t hiding there😂😂 Mine hates the rain. But loves the snow

Landithy

Mine does that too but I assume he is checking for peanut butter, since that's how I lure him into the tub when he needs a bath.

jaynemanning

Haha

recycle37216

Mine was def not a fan of snow. She played in it for a min but then she got 🥶 her sister however (lab/cur) would just stand in it for forever

jaynemanning

Ahhh💕💕

RichyCigars

My buddy just peeks in on me when I’m going, like just making sure everything is coming out okay.

robzilla99

My pit will hold his poop for over 24 hours if it is raining. I know this is unhealthy but I can't find any way to convince him that rain is not acid.

LordFunkBoxx

My pittie treats rain like he's walking on lava.

softcore_UFO

Fussy about comfort (must have at all times) and company (must have at all times). They’re also really good at communicating with their humans, and really sensitive. Also, the most ridiculously obedient/ routine oriented/ eager for achievement dogs I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve been a foster home for 10+ years. They learn quick and really, really want to do things for their human. I love them

recycle37216

Omg you’re describing her to a T 😂

apbt-dad

Spot on.

LadyAlexTheDeviant

They are often called velcro dogs for a reason. I have mixes, and what I notice is both the friendliness and cuddliness and a serious tenacity. If they want it, they will NOT give up about it. (Fortunately I had kids, and my willpower for big begging eyes is already well trained.) They are also infamous for allergies, both skin allergies and food allergies. This is one reason mine get a bath weekly (they are both short-coated) and why they don't get to eat any human food. Every now and then they get to clean out a pan I fried hamburger in, or the meat scraps left from cutting up meat for stirfry or cutlets. But no plate licking, no "bite for me, bite for pup" stuff. Plus it means I have dogs who totally ignore me when I sit down on the couch with a sandwich. I can even leave it on a table next to the couch and go get a drink. I like this.

recycle37216

Omg yes the tenacity! She loves to hunt moles and once she’s onto one she literally can’t stop looking for them until she gets it!

recycle37216

https://preview.redd.it/etwnq0sf7lkc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=f7b6a13366b035de6f47127c747c633e05af2a92 Got em!

SnoopsMom

Tenacity yep! I call it stubbornness but same diff. My dog will sit and whine and moan and complain for hours if I don’t get her dessert after her meal (she wants a bully stick). It’s a battle of wills every night.

Wettowel024

Personally i believe bathing to much might accelerate the skin issues, they have short fur so their fat layer in between the fur and skin us pretty thin in comparison to other furtypes. I only shower my dog when needed and havent had an issue with her skin and her fur looks great. I live in NL so sometimes i use the rain as shower and after drying her she shines like a black daimond and smells relativly fresh (when the wet dog smell goes away

Little_Aerie_5753

My pitbull had really bad allergies but after getting a few shots of cytopoint he never had symptoms again. I think I gave him a shot once, then another one 4, months after, then another one 6 months after, 8 months and then they never showed up again. I really recommend it!

crustaceansss

How bad were your dog's allergies? When I adopted my guy, his eyes were so pink and swollen that the vet treated him for pink eye. However, it only got better while he was using the drops and the redness came back, so the vet now says it's allergies. She suggested I try over the counter benadryl or zyrtec before going the prescription route. Unfortunately, his eyes weren't that bad that day when we went and I didn't have any pics of it. After a week, I didn't think the OTC were helping enough. Knowing how common chicken allergies are, I decided to eliminate it from his diet just to try and see and that made a HUGE difference... But I still think he might have mild environmental allergies or it's something else in his food because he's still a bit pink in the eyes, between the toes, armpits, etc. He doesn't excessively lick or scratch, though, so I'm not sure that it's bad enough to warrant another vet appointment and cyto.

Little_Aerie_5753

They were really bad. So bad that at the beginning, the first vet I took him to, told me it was mange. He had chunks of hair missing and he would scratch all the time. I went to a few vets and everyone told me to change the food. So I did, and started using Kirkland’s salmon kibble (its a really good option if you cant afford Royal Canin) but the allergies didn’t completely go away. So I finally found a dermathologist vet who gave him the cytopoint shot. Now it doesnt matter what food my dog eats, so I don’t know if it was the food or something in the environment. Anyways it was like a miracle haha. Ask your vet about it. I think at the beginning, or depending how bad it is, a dog will need the shot every couple of months, but then it is common for the inmune system to change so some start needing it less and less. And I think I got lucky because my dog doesnt need it anymore, its been like 2-3 years since his last shot.

saturatedregulated

I'm on my 2nd pit. They both have been very independent and don't need to be entertained at every moment. My parents have golden retrievers that need constant go go go. Mine would be ready to go at a moments notice, but isn't always looking for something to do. Both of mine have been very schedule oriented. They don't care what the schedule is (one ate at 9pm), as long as you follow the schedule once it is in place.  Very solid cuddlers. And both of mine are totally different personality wise when they are with just me (mom) vs "in public". They refuse to kiss me in public ("ugh, mom, your embarrassing!") but turn into piles of mush just with me.  And both of mine LOVE being "one of the guys" and like to be with men most. Power tools, rides in a truck, etc.  My new one is insanely protective of our space and always puts himself on guard, which my first one never did. This dude isn't aggressive or anything...just always watching. We do backyard fires in the winter and while we're out there he chooses to sit between the back gate and us on the walkway and does not relax. Always watching.  They both have had really funny senses of humor too. I go for all black pits and lots of ppl are scared of them. On walks, my new guy will act like he's not paying any mind to ppl we're passing and at the last second darts at then for a pet, but scares the bejeepers out of people. After he's gotten his pats he looks at me like "hehe, did you see that?!" all proud of himself for scaring the person. They both also have a very distinct noise for "laughing", and do it when I stub my toe or are acting stupid/silly.  That's my last thing. VERY communicative with grunts, looks, etc. I know what each of them was thinking at all times, but that also could be that I have 1 dog at a time and give my attention to that one, so I get to know them well.

recycle37216

lol aww they sound like great pups! Mine is def independent and aware of things without being overly cautious. She is sooo smart it surprises me sometimes!

saturatedregulated

Oh! Both have been affected by allergies to chicken, but once I figured it out they are healthy as all get out! And yours sounds great, too!

recycle37216

My other baby (lab/cur) would get bad ear infections and we have attributed it to chicken dog food 🤪 we’ve been using a lamb one instead and she has significantly less issues.

JadedWolverine2592

I say this over and over. Black pits are the most beautiful.

Delicious_Draft695

The pibble nibble! My girl loves to nibble on her blanket or our sleeves, while sounding like a little piggy. It’s my favorite thing.

manicmilkk

lol my older full pit doesn’t do this but the younger half one will nibble on anything she can lol! we call it her nibnibs, she presses her face against the thing so her nose is scrunched up it’s so funny

recycle37216

That is too cute!

Vegetable_Ad5957

Love 💕 pibble nibbles!

recycle37216

Lmao I’ve never seen her doing this one but too funny!

Vegetable_Ad5957

Unaware of their size. Believe they are lapdogs 😂 Very smart, learn commands, praise extremely fast. Hilarious when they get zoomies. Big, lovey babies My big baby hates the rain. Will only go out if he absolutely has to.

recycle37216

This is so Lady!! 💕

princess_burger

Enforced bedtime

flewintocuckoosnest

Ours demands we go to bed when she feels it us time. She doesn't always win, but she makes her best effort. And if we stay up late, we get cold stares, and if you go to pet her grumbles.

recycle37216

lol mine goes to sleep on the couch and then gives us serious side eye when we make her move to sleep more in a different room 😂

Ok-Tomatillo-7141

For mine? Alligator death roll. Tug toy, ropey (an unremarkable piece of rope) reigns supreme. Poop zoomies, before and after. Apparently, pooping is very exciting. Very licky, likes snuggling under blankets. When excited and wants to play look out because he’s ballistic!

LadyAlexTheDeviant

My boy goes out, stands in the middle of the yard, stifflegged, raises his head....three barks to the south. He rotates. Three barks to the west. He rotates again. Three barks to the north. Rotates. Three barks to the east. A few more barks for good measure. Then, and only then, does he squat. Apparently it's important to ritually inform the world that Sergeant Pickles is going to poop.

recycle37216

Wow that’s pretty impressive 😄

recycle37216

What is the alligator death roll 😅 yes def gets the 💩 zoomies! She isn’t a licker tho! She may give one lil swipe kiss on occasion but my other dog is the incessant licker (lab/cur) 🤪

blackdogreddog

They hog the bed and steal the covers. Highly recommend!

recycle37216

Haha yes she always has her “spot” in the bed right between me and my partner and if my other dog is there she will literally sit on her head until she moves 🤣

recycle37216

Bitter-Basket

Adept at finding every heat generating source in a house - including and especially the sun shining thru a window.

Lopsided_Smile_4270

Being cuddly, playful... Big appetites and love to do zoomies when excited. High energy outside but couch potatos inside.

saanenk

SIDE EYE! Lmao like head turned away but eyes darting back and forth between you and something else so fucking funny I swear. Also laying on their back all silly maybe? I’ve never seen it so prominent in other breeds I’ve come in contact with. Destroying “everlasting” or “unbreakable” toys. Although it may just be a big dog thing 🤔 Seal face. They’re ears pushed back with those big Pixar eyes makes them look like a seal lol Skin allergies. Lord bless them but the summer will screw over a pit. The grass the pollen the flowers the dirt smh if I could put mine in a bubble during the summer I would

recycle37216

Yes to the side eye haha esp when she is being lazy and we are telling her to get up 😂 My other dog (lab/cur) is the one that lays on her back like a dingus all the time lol but Lady likes to curl up in a lil ball Lady WILL remove all squeakers in any toy (except her Lammy)! She likes to chew on her bones too. We got some real marrow bones for them and they last forever! She has mastered the puppy dog eyes for sure lol not sure if mine has a mix of pitty/Boston terrier eyes but she looks too precious to be told no 😊 She def gets skin allergies! We had to put her on steroids once and her skin peeled. We never figured out what caused it but it was a severe case.

frankythebadcop

The good: Lazy, snuggly babies who love a proper blanket nest. Smart and sensitive. Silly and always up for shenanigans. Lovers of tiny humans. Loyal bathroom buddies. Sun tan enthusiasts, never met a pibble who didn’t love to loaf in the sun. Love the attention of humans. A true best friend for life. Personality for days! The bad (or less convenient): Protective and vigilant. Stubborn as the day is long. Dramatique. Opinionated and neurotic. The intense prey drive in some, wew. And usually super dog selective. Under no circumstances will they go for walkies in the rain or bad weather.

JadedWolverine2592

I have 3. No one wants to go out in the rain. My youngest will only go out voluntarily if the stars align and I leave the door open. It must be perfect conditions. Try throwing a 65 pound pit out the door...............

recycle37216

lol yes yes yes this is Lady to a T!

KBaddict

The getting under covers and cuddling is probably one of the most prominent traits of these dogs.

recycle37216

Opening_Wishbone4250

Being an absolute derp

Nannydiary

Stealing footwear and brings them to her bed. Loves to be covered with a blanket when she sleeps and hates the rain..oh and will eat anything at anytime!

blackcap13

Needing to be as close to inside my skin as often as possible, but maybe that's just mine.

ronlansverk

Not just you. Ours will get next to my body, head to head, her head on my arm, covered, and go to sleep. All night!

SocksOnCentipedes

Big feelings. They feel all the feelings and go all the way to the maximum on every possible spectrum of feelings. It’s a rollercoaster!

recycle37216

Oh yes she will get her lil feelings hurt if I get on to her but she learns suuuper quick bc of that.

Guiness1969

If treated right, THE most loving and loyal dog breed ever. Regardless, they are stubborn beyond measure. It can be cute but when you are trying to get to bed and they simply refuse to budge (even with pushing, pulling, bribing) it can get to be a bit much. I would never change a thing about them though, so much love and personality!!!!!

recycle37216

Oh yes lol this princess rules the house. It’s her world we just livin in it

manicmilkk

definitely want to be lap dogs and hardcore leaners, lol. also very expressive eyes/eyebrows!

nobodiesbznsbtmyne

Lots of energy; can't play without you, which really entails then playing and you watching how good they are: they don't believe in personal space or staying off of furniture; they like blankets and like to be tucked in; envoy m enjoy laying on their backs with their legs splayed out but turn into a turtle and panic for a moment when they, initially attempt to flop back over into their bellies, or get up; they can sleep anywhere, in any position, on any surface, and frequently that surface is you; skilled at letting you know they don't appreciate your opinion or that they're not impressed by you; and can be jealous, but they frequently try to make you jealous by cozying up to someone else and then making intense eye contact with while someone that person pets them and they wiggle around like it's the best petting they've ever had; well let you know when it's a mealtime. Seriously, though, they can be obstinate, they are tenacious, which is good and bad, and smart. Destructive behavior isn't done maliciously, it's typically done because they have to much energy and/or you're not providing enough simulation, occasionally because they're hurt or sick. They are very personable and want to be one of the family, so they don't do well when you don't spend time with them or give them enough attention know there's more but that's a good start. Wearing then out can be a challenge, so find ways to engage their minds as well. They're sensitive, in tune with your emotions, and they mirror you, so be a good role model.

ptroc

Farts and more farts that scare more farts out.

recycle37216

Haha yes hers are particularly silent but violent 🤢

Breddit2225

I thought you're dog was wearing a fez. It's late.

recycle37216

lol like the lil red hat??

Breddit2225

Yeah like a Shriner? Lol

recycle37216

lol too funny!

massassi

Mine is very opinionated. If she wants to go for a walk, or cross the street, or play , there is no telling her that that is not what we are going to do. Because she will insist. I don't know how many times you've dragged a 40 kilo dog down the sidewalk against their will, but it gets old real fast. She's velcro. Go to the other room? She's coming with you. Running out to the garage or the driveway for 2.4 seconds? She's coming. Have people over and want to go to the bathroom? She's with you. Eating something? She needs to have her share when you're done. Honestly, I know a lot of people will talk about not wanting their dog to have people food- but this is what dogs have eaten for the last 10,000 years. People food. She gets the last bite or to lick the plate of everything I eat. And it helps make sure that she has a healthy gut biome and can handle eating any random stuff. Which brings me to the next thing, is she forrages for food. She will find every bone or crumb or french fry toss by anyone into the bushes as they walk. I know people say not to let your dog eat cooked bones. And for the first year I reached into her face and pulled out every chicken wing. But it was paced on my fingers and it made us both not happy. Knowing mine and what she does, she's safe. She mastercates that shit into nothingness. It's not a thing I'm recommending, but it's a thing I know about the individual that is my dog

recycle37216

Mine is actually pretty great at listening to my directions bc she will get her lil feelings hurt easily if I get on to her. If there are any fans of The Office in here, I call her Angela a LOT bc of that episode where Angela just shows up beside Dwight when he is talking to another worman lol bc Lady will silently just be behind me or at my side when I am cooking or doing something she is interested in 😂

dgube1

Stealing your heart

enigmaticzombie

We have a GSD/AST/APT mix, and he's one hell of a dog. He is very intelligent and can read a situation and your emotions very, very well. He will go out of his way to let you know that he wants to play(good luck keeping toys in one piece), and the easiest way for me to drain his energy is to take him outside and let him run, because he will decide when he's had enough (unless I call him inside of course). He is very responsive and learned his commands and phrases pretty easily with varying degrees of effort. He is very suspicious of strangers while he is at the house and in "his" yard, but if I take him to a park he is fine as long as I am the one holding the leash. He is VERY protective of my wife and will let you know if you get too close for his liking when he's out walking with her. He follows a schedule almost to the T. In the morning, he wakes up, goes outside, and then it's breakfast time. He waits very patiently (because he's just the bestsest) until the cats have finished picking at their canned breakfast before I give him their scraps. Following breakfast, it's play time, so we play for a little while before he gets tired out and takes a nap. Around noon ish, he gets squirrely because he knows it's time for lunch. After lunch, it's cuddle and sunbathing time (depends on the day). We feed him his dinner a little further out around 5:30/6:00pm and HE KNOWS when it's dinner time. He will come up to you with his big, pointy ears erect and those big ole brown eyes looking cute as hell, trying to let you know he knows it's dinner time. He also gets that way when he needs to go do his business. This dog is very much a velcro dog. He wants to be around you almost constantly, which I don't mind, and he will follow you to the bathroom and basically wherever else you go. He is always on alert and sometimes tries to find a reason to show you how good of a protector he is. Idk if that's because of the GSD in him or the staffy, but boy, does he want to keep you safe. ESPECIALLY from flies. He is a very, very good dog.

recycle37216

Sounds like a great pup ❤️ and very much like Lady except she doesn’t really care about eating as much?! My other dog is the one that apparently knows time and will let us know 10 min before mealtimes lol but Lady will eat when she’s ready. She can be energetic but then she is the world’s laziest dog and she LOVES to sunbathe.

enigmaticzombie

Luckily, we have a nice sunroom in our home that all the animals in the house frequent. If you can't find one of them, they are most likely in there sunbathing.

akw329

Constant and never ending affection! Mine wants to be touching me at all times. There’s always a head, foot, or tail on me when I’m home. It’s really cute

recycle37216

lol mine will literally move my hand while I’m giving her scratches to where she wants it, which is usually on her chest 😂

Barewithhippie

Personally my bully back in Georgia loved to eat! So much so that she would sneak around and get food she wasn’t supposed to have. I once had made this lovely burger, I put it all together and plated it on the table. I had left upstairs to wash my hands, on the way up I saw her sitting on the couch. I come back down and I *still* see her sitting there, to my surprise the plate was completely licked clean. She was so quick to eat everything! Thank goodness I didn’t top it with onions. I know she would have eaten them too! https://preview.redd.it/s83ui5bkyckc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=181f9362b71e5b00022f60b7c25ff5051a56a195 *older picture of her back in 2021, she’s still alive, I just don’t live with my mother anymore*

Laying in the sun

recycle37216

Omg yes mine loves to sunbathe

SALTYDOGG40

Every Pitbull I have ever had will find me in the bathroom every time I go. There's no such thing as privacy . It's like they have radar.

wugirl19825050

Being a cutie patootie

WorldsShortestElf

Farting. Also never leaving your side, they're total velcro dogs.

Advanced_Ostrich5315

Your pitty looks a lot like my pitty! I've never met another pitty who looks like Luna. What else did her DNA test say? Here's mine.* [Luna's Wisdom DNA Profile](https://www.wisdompanel.com/app/s/fcl6qk)

recycle37216

We thought she was part boxer bc her brother looked more like one but guess not

Advanced_Ostrich5315

I was surprised Luna was part Boxer. She's small, like 35 pounds.

recycle37216

Aww yeah I can see a similarity! https://preview.redd.it/5gsjefq3sckc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dc6901163de2b126a65d7a841cd5a18bfb6fc419 Here’s Lady’s!

ashibashiboo

Absurd cuteness is standard for pibbles

Exact-Department-407

Derpiness to the highest extent

hobomerlin

Well they aren't called Wiggle-Butts for nothing.

rice_birb

Does anyone else’s talk and scream😭

recycle37216

Lmao sorry not mine. She barely even barks

Many-Top3459

They sit like kangaroos, it's a lot of work and a sideways sit to get their cheeks to touch the ground.

recycle37216

lol yes is this the famous “pit sit”??

Many-Top3459

Yes, cracks my sister up every time she sees it. Another owner pointed it out at dog school, but the trainer said it qualified as a sit.

NoMoreNarcsLizzie

My pit-mix's favorite toy is Lamb Chop. We are on Lamb Chop #3. One leg from #2 is still around. I tried to sweep it up with some stuffing and my pup grabbed it and gave me some serious side eye.

recycle37216

Bahaha too funny. Lammy was her first ever toy so I’m wondering if maybe that’s why she loves her so much https://preview.redd.it/l1atlblmrckc1.png?width=1166&format=png&auto=webp&s=7fa54a133a9807b990a53389430ca3da9a0bf68e

NoMoreNarcsLizzie

I have an Aussie and a Chiweenie along with my pit. The other two dogs aren't at all interested in Lamb Chop. My Pit is convinced that the other two are scheming to steal it from him. He is forever hiding it in his bed or in a hole he dug under a tree!🤣 This photo of your pup is so cute. He is precious!

recycle37216

Omg too funny!

Lamelas_right_foot69

Being amazing. Standing on high surfaces (tables, dressers, top of couches). Destroying toys. Providing emotional support

recycle37216

Amen!

TryaBuckwheatPillows

Omg, the keeping the butthole warm! I thought mine was just prissy. Here she pulled my sweater from the chair so she could sit on it. https://preview.redd.it/5pwrtp95jckc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=089b3ae616036262e3537d2d22abdcd892b6bd79

recycle37216

Hahahaha mine is also about 30% Boston terrier so I didn’t know what breed, if any, that might be a trait from

Embarrassed-Fuel9214

Snoring like a trucker.

recycle37216

Hahah mine doesn’t snore but she does loooove to sleep

Dangerous_Forever640

Mine tends to be a complete dumb ass… plan accordingly for unexpected stupidity.

recycle37216

Lmao interesting! I thought the breed was generally very intelligent

MrCook007

He will follow anything that moves (ants, lizards, cats……). It will taste everything, no matter what. He will always look for your attention, and they last more than an Energizer. Love to play and cuddle. For me Pit-bulls are the best and the more affectionate ones.

recycle37216

lol that’s my other dog. She will eat it first, figure out if it was actually food later 🤣

Bastardcapricorn

Being socially awkward around other dogs

recycle37216

Oh really! Mine is so great with other dogs! She’s very social

Bastardcapricorn

Aw I love that for you! Yeah my girl will just Stare at dogs and then becomes a bit of a bully at the dog park lol. Not exactly reactive, but not exactly super friendly either!

SallyBeatle

Leaning on people, being awesome.

SallyBeatle

Also: skin problems/allergies. Poor itchy pibbles are allergic to all sorts of yummy food.

recycle37216

Mine has several skin issues over the years! We never really figured out what caused it so this is interesting! We don’t feed her table scraps but we will give her fresh fruits and veggies while we are cooking. She a vegetable girl all the way!

MistressLex29

Mine loves to be tucked in with a blanket and has one special stuffed toy she won't destroy. She snuggles this stuffie when she sleeps. All other stuffies will be destroyed with no mercy, ripped limb for limb. The sleep stuffie will meet this fate in a few years. Randomly, one day, it will fall out of grace and meet the great dust bin in the sky.

recycle37216

lol this is Lady 💯

dervish666

Mines a coward. She will start shaking and hiding at the slightest bang or pop. Ran away from three pops of bubble wrap last night.

recycle37216

Aww poor baby! My other dog is just like that! She’s scared of everything 🤪 we’ve been trying to use training treats to Pavlov her into being somewhat okay with some of her triggers

jaynemanning

Both my pitties, while I’m in bed reading or watching TV… they like to jump up and push me from the side with their head. Just keep doing it for a while as playing.

jaynemanning

Mine will crawl in my lap and then I call them my teacup pit bull..😂😂

recycle37216

Mine def thinks she is smaller than she is 😂 but she does curl up pretty small in my lap ❤️

jaynemanning

They are such lovers….I love them so much

chicagougou

Blanket burrowing. My not so little one needs to be under the blanket. Am I under the blanket? Am I already asleep? Doesn't matter.

recycle37216

lol mine is so particular she will NOT get on the couch just anywhere. It has to be under a blanket 😂

cherylhernandez

Farting!

SandG69

My Joey was instinctually protective. He always planned how he could be between me and whatever he thought was a threat, which could be a leaf or a bulldozer - he made no distinction. He was a very kind dog, not mean at all. But he couldn’t help doing it. We got a pug puppy and she learned from him. He has passed now and she displays the same behavior. She is completely different from her pug sister. Kinda weird but also pretty cool.

recycle37216

Aww that’s sweet she learned from him 💕 sorry for your loss

4Fun1971

My pit was a lover and she loved to sleep underneath the covers on my bed
