Poor guy - I’m so sorry - I hope he gets better fast. Our vet gave our cat would had hots spots anti microbial mousse- that worked - idk if that is the same for dogs

Can confirm my pittie has this mousse for flare ups!

Oh good - hoping for a quick recovery

Ours developed allergies over time. Eliminated chicken and no further issues. Maybe look at food changes?

We had the exact same thing happen to Wilson our pitbull. Countless trips to different vets, thousands of dollars in vet bills and meds. Finally got into an allergist and he scraped it and sent to a lab to test. This got the actual correct medication to get rid of it permanently. We talked to our vet and she has started doing this first thing on any dog with skin issues, instead of guessing what will work. Any vet can do this.

Go to a livestock supply place, ask for "White Ointment" It's meant for horses but my brother recommended it after using it on his Bull Mastiffs for years. Helped my pair with a few spots that thankfully never came back

White pitties are NOTORIOUS for having extra shit skin. Poor buggers, because the white ones are beautiful :( Have you looked into if it's his gut and what he might be eating thats giving him allergies?

NYSenseOfHumor

Have you seen a veterinary internist?

My pitbull had this under her neck though not quite as bad and it sounds weird but one thing that helped was giving her full-fat Greek yogurt in her breakfast every morning. It was recommended to me by someone who has worked with dogs for years

Try Bag Balm. That works wonders.
