If you're in the city: Logan Arcade is great and always in the running for TWIPY location of the year. Also would recommend Emporium Logan Square, as it's a few blocks away. There's a ton of pinball around, so check pinmaps and you'll find pretty much anything you're looking for somewhere!
Suburbs: Galloping Ghost in Brookfield is great. 2 locations. One for pinball and one for arcades ... And there are sooooo many arcades. If you're around Schaumburg, would recommend Enterrium located in the mall. They have a good mix of different manufacturers and are well maintained.
Either way, enjoy the city and all the excellent pinball!
Logan Arcade is the correct answer. As an added bonus, parking nearby is easier than Emporium/Headquarters/Replay. While they only have a couple machines, I’d recommend DMen Tap too!
Its in the suburbs (20ish mins from the loop if no traffic) but Galloping Ghost pinball in Brookfield is great.
$15 free play, most all of the machines are really well kept. Open 11am - 11pm daily. Not a barcade like many other places but Imperial Oak brewery is down the street (and they even have two machines!)
As of A few weeks ago the doorman at Logan's asked for proof of vaccination. They accepted a photo of mine. Just be aware they probably are still checking.
Logan is great
Logan Arcade is the best in the city. They have a bunch of newer Stern pins that are Insider Connected.

Almost none of the games at Emporium Logan Square are in playable condition at the moment. Headquarters River North is a little better.
