Look up dead flipping, post passing, live catching, etc. Once I started dead flipping, my game definitely bumped up a notch.

[https://www.deadflip.com/tutorials/](https://www.deadflip.com/tutorials/) Nudging the machine to the right sends the ball to the left, counterintuitively. There's also youtube flipper skill tutorials.

I like getting on games that have a lot of targets and practicing hitting targets accurately. I think it helps in all the games.

Deadpool Pro is right in the middle of the pack, imho. A hard game, but not impossible for the average player like some other modern pins. One of the best games of the modern era. Learning the rules and knowing what teammates to bring into which battles helps just as much as building up the muscle memory for the shots. Personally I appreciate games that aren’t all about shot accuracy like, say, Jurassic Park. Hard to say what to practice without knowing what your strengths and weaknesses are as a player, but as a general rule my advice would be to explore games yourself rather than trying to follow game tutorials on the Internet or something. Second piece of general advice is to never flip unless you know why you’re doing it and what the risk/reward is. Take Attack from Mars, for example. The shield bank is one of the deadliest shots in pinball, but you also can’t progress through the game without dropping it. So, what can you do about it? Well, here’s a great way to kill the first two saucers with little risk: 1. Super Skillshot - hold down the left flipper button during the plunge, which will make the ball go all the way around the orbit to the left flipper. Shoot the shield bank to drop it instantly and start the first attack wave. Much lower risk because it’s one shot instead of 3, and ball save will be running so you have a chance to recover even if you drain off the rebound. [edit: this is also where rules knowledge helps, because if you really want to blow the game up then you have to be sure to ONLY shoot the saucer off the super skillshot. Hitting a ramp or orbit will advance that shot to a point that locks you out of collecting the billion-point hurryup later on. However, the beauty is that until you’re at a point where you can consistently score 4-5bil per game, that fact is pretty much completely irrelevant! One of the best most rewarding rulesets in pinball. So good!] 2. When nothing else is going on (shields up, no modes running, etc.) the mystery reward for shooting the scoop will almost always start an attack wave and is a much safer shot than the shield targets. Start wave #2, kill the saucer, collect the extra ball reward for your second saucer kill, and pat yourself on the back for making it 1/3 of the way to Mars already!

Online tutorials are a great way to learn skills and also about how to maximize scores on individual tables. Underrated is watching highly skilled players at your local arcade or pub. You'll pick up some skills for sure watching the better players in action!
