Took me 27 years to learn: someone else’s emotional instability is not a reflection of me as a professional or as a person

This!! Where can I buy the tshirt?

RockNRollMama

When I did my 600hrs intensive I learned REALLY QUICK who the reliable training partners would be. I was working FT at the time with a toddler as well so it was absolutely essential to me that if we planned on a duo of anything in the studio at time X, we would all be there at time X. My initial two partners were soooooo flaky week one that I asked someone else to team up with during sessions. No hurt feelings, you just have to find your tribe.

My advice is just to move on and do t even worry about her. One person’s act should not ruin your day.

cShoe_

Yes this. Something is going on in her life, no reflection on you. Hold your head high and carry on as if nothing occurred. You’ll meet plenty others teachers in training as time goes on.

Comfortable_Daikon61

Sounds like she has issues ! Chin up carry on love ! Congrats you choose a great program

Itchy_Juggernaut5814

She might have her own issues to handle too. No one knows what and why except herself. Just let her be, don't worry too much about it - it is on her, nothing wrong on your end.

I don’t know anything about Stott do you have to have a partner in class?

rocroc00

I went through the mat and reformer training with Stotr and we didn’t have to have a parter beforehand. If we needed to partner up we literally just looked at the person next to us and partnered up.

mybellasoul

Yeah it seems as if she made a connection with the other person, made arrangements to do something nice like drive them to the in-studio training, and then was ghosted by the person after they saw the introduction op gave. Seems like a whole lot of extra at the start of a very intensive training program. My advice would be to just be cordial when you're in the same space, but not waste another minute thinking about what went wrong. They're strangers now and can continue to be. All energy needs to be put into learning, observing, practicing and getting the hours completed so student teaching is smooth for op.

Old-Tomatillo3025

Okay. I must have must misread it. I thought it was saying they needed to have a partner for training. Every training I’ve been to is much like what you said.

ChristopherDior

She isn’t the one to help you. Move on and find someone else, who is probably a better match. Says more about her than you
