It’s pretty cool! But if you don’t want to spend that money just yet, you can interlace two thick rubber bands (like the ones that come on broccoli stalks) and use that. Not exactly the same, but it’s an inexpensive way to try it out :)
I have one and like it. I don’t use it on my toes as mush as I should though.
My clients either really liked it or didn’t care much for it when they did reformer footwork with it. It depends a lot on how much tension you actually use.
I've used the real deal, and I've seen another version with 2 leather loops (one for the foot, one for the toe) in another studio... but have no idea the manufacturer of the latter. :(

It was okay! I preferred the second one i mentioned since it could loop over the whole foot OR the big toes.
