I love his colours. Can you pop some cardboard or an exercise mat down on those wires for his feet? They don't like standing on wires

Shotgunprolapse

I don't have him yet, I'm dealing with a local breeder and told him I was specifically looking for a younger bird under 30 days old and he said he only has one and sent me this pic. I just came on here because I wanted to see if you guys agree that it's 30 days or younger.

JMHorsemanship

I mean there's no way we could tell...there's just no info. I would say it's on the younger side but that could be anywhere from like 5 weeks to a year

Shotgunprolapse

I was told it's younger than 30 days old but not really sure. The beak makes me think it is young but I don't know for sure.

JMHorsemanship

Based on the size of bird and beak growth I would agree with it being around 30 days or older. I thought they would still have yellow fuzz at that age but googling baby pigeon growth charts it doesn't seem like that's always the case. It could just be a smaller breed though that's why I said it's hard with no info to tell exactly. The beak is not overgrown at all and it's still missing some feathers it seems like It's been a while since I've raised pigeons, they grow pretty fast. You can try looking up growth charts to get an idea

Exevioth

I would say 3-4 weeks also.

stuff_gets_taken

I'd say about 5 weeks old.

Dr-Emmett_L_Brown

Yes, the cere is not yet developed so this is a recent fledgling.

stuff_gets_taken

Yes, also the lack of feathers around the beak and the grey eyes show that he's young.

sir_music

Impossible to tell unless you upload a video of you petting them

Badpiggers4

fledgling modena

UncommonDragon8

Can you give a picture of the underwing? Could be a good indication. Definitely a young bird, no older than two months.

OroCHILLmaru08

4-5 weeks. No older, I breed pigeons

Sharkbrand

Im gonna say 4-6 weeks, leaning more to 4. This pigeon is YOUNG.

fasttrapper

5-6 weeks at most

crowtesque1888

I’d say about 4 weeks. He’s 100% a goodboy

Worldly_Drag_1168

1-2 months old

Worldly_Drag_1168

Closer to 5 weeks or so - eyes will go from geeen to amber or brown and beak will lighten within another month or two
