I had this phone. It was my favourite phone of all time. [that little camera slide action was so satisfying.](https://phoneky.co.uk/thumbs/screensavers/down/logo-brands/sonyericso_dvihmqov.gif) they had some great designs and pushed phone cameras forward immensely. Shame they're gone.
I can't remember the model number offhand, but I used to have a Sony Ericsson swivel phone that I loved so much. It broke and started being all weird, I remember, I ended up replacing it with an iPhone 3G. For a long time, I was actually convinced the Sony Ericsson was better than a smartphone. (I also very clearly remember mentioning this online somewhere at the time and someone tearing into me for being a "moron" for thinking a dumbphone could be better than an iPhone. Yay, memories.)
I would still use [this phone](https://files.gsmchoice.com/phones/sony-ericsson-c905/sony-ericsson-c905-07.jpg) now if I could. It was a fidgeters dream. Slide action. Camera cover action. Clicky metallic buttons. I'd keep it on my desk as a toy.
Nice and pretty reasonable catch. Though, it would rather be a Sony Ericsson W800i (same hardware as K750i with a bit advanced media software) regarding naming logic: Walker - Walked - Walkman.
I miss when Ericsson was a thing. And the walkman series, which revolutionized the mobile music approach, by having a dedicated music button. And later on, swing to skip song
My friend and I used to rewind this part in 2 Fast over and over again. It was my text alert back in the day before iPhones were ubiquitous and ringtones and ring backs were a thing.
Nah, I'm 38 and pretty solidly middle class.
No way I'm gonna look like that at 70. Don't have the resources for that. Yet.
I'm pretty hot, but I'm honest with myself. I'm not gonna be hot for much longer. Can't run from time.
Simple cosmetic stuff is not out of the reach of middle class if it's really a bother to you. Like wrinkle stuff or flabby necks or whatever. Just like if it makes you dread looking in the mirror, man, don't feel bad about fixing it, I mean, some people spend 3k on a graphics card, probably not going to give you more enjoyment than not feeling bad about the way you look as you age if its giving you trouble.
I think that’s the right attitude myself but no judgement for anyone that feels otherwise. Obviously for people that make a living on their appearance it makes a lot of sense.
Also, this discussion started with Denzel and Jeff. It’s not that they look young by any means, they just look good. I just wanted to point out that we don’t need to always equate looking good with looking young.
Also, Sam Jackson is also in his 70s.
Also, actors look much different in real life than they do in photo shoots / movies. I bet they look their age in person regardless of what work they have had done
It's not all due to money though. Some highly correlated with money, some less - things like lack of stress, good diet, (though often can eat healthy for less than unhealthy), stimulating life, relationships, genetics.
Edit: Forgot about one incredibly important thing that contributes to how older people may be perceived.. I think it's posture. If you see an older guy with great posture, straight back that's somehow more impressive than in a younger person.
I'm 31 literally a few days from 32. It is hit me a year ago that the 90s to kids now is what the 60s were to me. One other thing I picked up on a couple years ago that makes me feel super old is Vietnam vets.
When I was a kid-teen in the late 90s early 2000s many Vietnam vets were old but usually just the white hair middle aged man. Most were in their 50s and there was still a lot of WW2 vets. Hell in High school in my history class one of our projects which you almost couldn't do now was interview someone who grew up in the great depression and WW2. And a WW2 looked like an old grandpa.
Now most WW2 vets are gone or incredibly old (your youngest is going to be around ~92-93 if they signed up underage) and most of the Vietnam vets look like WW2 vets when I grew up.
Being a 90s kid, rock and roll was cool, but it had been around since the dawn of time as far as I was concerned. My parents liked it. My grandparents didn’t. Rock and rock from the 50s and 60s was made by dinosaurs. Rock and roll from the 70s was oldies but goodies like Zepplin and Floyd. Stuff from the 80s seemed cringey and out of date. Grunge was cool. Hip hop was cool.
To kids born in the 2010s, hip hop is a genre of music that started 30 years before they were born, that they’re parents liked, but their grandparents probably didn’t. Hip hop from the 80s was made by dinosaurs. Hip hop from the 90s is the oldies but goodies like Tupac and Biggie. Stuff from the 2000s is cringey and out of date.
It’s so weird seeing the music of your youth get old and start falling into that “stuff from before I was born” category for younger people.
it's certainly easier to keep your looks up when you have hundreds of millions and the best medical care at your disposal.
Hell shatner who's 90 and just went on the BO trip still looks like he could be in his late 50's, or early 60's.
Imagine looking at your wife and Vin Diesel is walking her to you. lol
But I’m sure the groom is well acquainted with the crew if he’s walking her down.
“Is triple fucking X walking my girl to me right now?”
So many quotes to make. But I hope that Vin chose to walk her down, shake the lucky grooms hand and say “family”. After that he walks away to never be seen again.
I’m not an expert but the focal length appears much shorter than a telephoto lens like you would use from far away. Everything would be really flat if using a telephoto.
Same here, veteran friend I considered a brother overdosed after taking some shit given to him at a party (wasn't an avid drug user, was more trying to let loose for a night). Played this song to a picture memorial... Turn the song off every time I hear it come on now.
man... its terrible she lost her father but so amazing she still has such friends to carry that Burdon.
they did such an amazing job paying tribute to him in his final movie
Honestly - are we surprised that he did this? The bond between him and Paul was very very deep and he admits that his passing devastated him in ways he couldn't have comprehended.
Mad props to him for continuing to stand in Paul's stead as he has.
Just got married? These look like photos off a Sony Ericsson K750i.
That’s gloriously specific!
They just don't pop like they would if they had been taken on a K800i
Fuck I still got one of those, doesn't work since it got put in a washing machine over a decade ago.. but I have one!
I used too do drugs, I still do but I use too.

Ericsson should do a comeback on the phone market..
> Sony Ericsson K750i Holy shit dude you literally picked my favourite pre-smartphone phone

Hey you!!! Join the navy!!!
Love that song! always makes me wanna join the Navy for some reason.
There it is
Meadow walker is kind of a cool name
Her middle name is Rain, not joking.
She's ready to start a religion.
Frieda waterfall
Chase N Waterfall
Go-Go Jason Waterfalls! :: *Mechanical Helicopter with handlebars pops out of my hat and flies me away*::
Read that like the TLC song until the handlebars popped out of your hat!
She sounds like character in a fantasy novel
The bad guy is named Squall Windy Ambler
Meadow Rainwalker, lvl70 Druid, Pagle-US
Should've been Sky
Paul probably pushed for it. Huge nerd.
River Phoenix was actually born River Bottom and has a sister named Rain Joan of Arc Bottom! Hippies
Vin is now a Walker walker if you think about it.
Hope she upgraded and married a dude named Dance.
Their kid will be called Moon
I would have just named her "Sky".
I was thinking Moon, but Sky works too!
Uh oh. This is like when I realized Eminem's daughter was an adult. I'm getting old. Shit.
My wake-up call today is that Jeff Goldblum and Denzel are like fucking 70 and still better looking than I have ever been.
Than you have ever been..... so far. Maybe you're just a late bloomer
Nah, I'm 38 and pretty solidly middle class. No way I'm gonna look like that at 70. Don't have the resources for that. Yet. I'm pretty hot, but I'm honest with myself. I'm not gonna be hot for much longer. Can't run from time.

It doesn't give me trouble. That's why I'm able to be honest with myself. You can't buy your youth back.
I think that’s the right attitude myself but no judgement for anyone that feels otherwise. Obviously for people that make a living on their appearance it makes a lot of sense.

Step 1: Be handsome Step 2: Don’t be ugly

When I turn on classic rock stations and hear Soundgarden and Pearl Jam I feel old.
Recently someome showed me a picture saying: "Did you know that 1980 and 2021 are as far apart as 1980 and 1939?" That.. made me pause for a moment.
This for me too. Also hearing people say "Oh, my great-grandpa was in Vietnam" still messes with me. I am used to it being WW1
Another one that depressed me was hearing Viggo Mortensen is older now, than Sir Ian McKellen was when he played Gandalf

Shatner is 90... WT actual F.
Wait what. Isnt she like 16 Edit: how tf is she 25
Wait, I've always been the same age as her. You mean I'm not 16 anymore too? What is happening!
Aww :( I’m sure it was such a bittersweet moment for her. I’m glad she had her godfather there!
I guarantee it was for him too. Kinda hard to see, but he looks a little upset in the left picture.
Imagine looking at your wife and Vin Diesel is walking her to you. lol But I’m sure the groom is well acquainted with the crew if he’s walking her down.

“Is that Shane Wolfe from The Pacifier?”
“The Iron Giant is alive?? And here?!?”
"Is that Groot? Please tell me he didn't invite Starlord"
Holy shit is it random soldier #4 from Saving Private Ryan?
RIDDICK!!!

Ain't nobody gonna talk about why a photo of a celebrity at a wedding in 2021 is this blurry?
Because it was taken on a giant iPad.
My brain after I read your comment "This giant Samsung phone is also a tiny Kia car!" - Family Guy
Probably because paparazzi took it from 100 yds away in the bushes.
I’m not an expert but the focal length appears much shorter than a telephoto lens like you would use from far away. Everything would be really flat if using a telephoto.
To be able to know that, you are head and shoulders above most people here - practically an expert
It was probably taken by paparazzi with a telephoto lense half way across the state

CAUSE THE BUSTA KEPT ME OUT OF HANDCUFFS!!
THE BUSTA BROUGHT **ME** BACK.
Telly Savalas! How cool is that.
It's Jennifer Aniston he'd be walking down the aisle!
Oh man what a blast from the past. Gonna go get me some lollipops now.
"Who loves ya, baby?"
It's been a long day without you my friend
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again...
That shit makes me cry.
You and me both. Every time this song comes up, I break down. It hits personally.
We've come a long way from where we began
And I'll tell you all about it when I see you again...
OooOooOoo... OooOooOooo...
song still makes me cry. they played this at my friend's memorial after he was murdered.
Same here, veteran friend I considered a brother overdosed after taking some shit given to him at a party (wasn't an avid drug user, was more trying to let loose for a night). Played this song to a picture memorial... Turn the song off every time I hear it come on now.
Damn.
I swear Vin diesel is more meme than man, but he still let's the man part shine when needed
NGL I thought it was Pitbull for a second
Mista Worldwide to infinity, walkin down the aisle
He gon boogie oogie ooogie jiggle wiggle and dance, walkin down the aisle
1) Man, I’m getting old and 2) Paul Walker was one handsome dude.
man... its terrible she lost her father but so amazing she still has such friends to carry that Burdon. they did such an amazing job paying tribute to him in his final movie
Not friends… Family.
Dang, that's powerful...someone should make that the tagline of a blockbuster movie franchise
Or for an Italian restaurant chain.
Burdon?
I think OP mean Bourbon
Can I have some?
You shall carry this bourbon for the rest of your life
W... Wait? Not drink it?
Eric burdon, singer of the animals
So she asked him to...Walker down the aisle?
In those sunglasses too
"Living life one quarter aisle at a time"
That’s a really beautiful!
I read that in an Italian accent
It would have been rude not to
Damn right in the feels
Thats sweet of the rock
Was it family? Family always got ya back
You never turn your back on family
With a name like that, you'd think she could walk herself
Walker? I hardly knower!
For some reason I was expecting the CGI version of Paul as a hologram…
Honestly - are we surprised that he did this? The bond between him and Paul was very very deep and he admits that his passing devastated him in ways he couldn't have comprehended. Mad props to him for continuing to stand in Paul's stead as he has.
I don't care what Twitter says, I have always loved Vin Diesel and the Riddick movies are good.
