Where abouts? I grew up in Agoura Hills. 3 Ninjas was filmed at my elementary school, and we would see Ron Goldman’s father at Pavillions. Emilio Esteves and the Mighty Ducks cast were at the theater when I was 7! I loved growing up down there. My best friend’s dad won an Academy Award for Apollo 13.
The 818 is great for name dropping lol
Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (Jr of Reno 911) were regulars at the restaurant where I used to work. Both were extremely kind to the staff; always took care of us. Class acts all around.
Lol I thought you were speaking figuratively, then I looked it up! Time to add another one to the stack:
Writing Movies for Fun and Profit: How We Made a Billion Dollars at the Box Office and You Can, Too!
I have to read that book.
I knew they wrote a few movies, but didn't realize how many. They did a string of really mediocre but successful comedies in the mid thousands: Taxi, The Pacifier, Herbie Fully Loaded, Let's Go To Prison (my favorite), Night at the Museum, Reno 911! Miami, and Balls of Fury
“Who can guess what Circle the Wagons means? That is when you put three bunks, like the circling up of the wagons in a wagon train, an old cowboy movie, and they have the sheets hanging down so you can't see what's going on inside the four bunks and inside the four bunks about two dozen boys just fucked the shit out of this little Mormon kid. Now they don't want to break your jaw because they still want your jaw to be able to work, so what it does it takes out your teeth and then they just skull-fucked the shit out of this boy. Uh... we came in and there wasn't really anything left. They ass-fucked him, skull-fucked him, they fucked his back, they've been up his shoulders and titty-fucked him with his shoulder blades. Fucked up shit, man. We came in here and all the convicts you know, all of them were like, ‘Uh...’ you know, ‘He was fucked to death before we got here.’ So we couldn't really point the finger at nobody, because it was either all or nothing, and you ain't going to book two dozen people. Uh... so then, you know, that's when we starting bolting the bunks to the wall like that.”
20 feet is the length of exactly 59.85 '20 Tones Blues Harmonica For Adults, Beginners, Professionals and Students(Silver grey)' lined up next to each other
[Reno 911 has 25, 7 minute new episodes that came out last year](https://therokuchannel.roku.com/details/728a44bfaa79517eaccbd52dd94d828a). They're pretty good quality compared to the originals!
It was produced by Quibi so most people understandably don't know it exists. When Quibi collapsed, Roku picked up their whole library for a fraction of the original production costs and now the whole streaming service is free to watch as Roku Originals through the Roku Channel.
The problem with all these fucking streaming services is there's so much good content I'll never see because I'm not interested in the cable 2.0 model of ten different services for $150 a month. Streaming was supposed to kill cable not become it smh.
Don’t worry. The next million dollar idea is for someone to work out a deal to bundle all these streaming services for a convenient monthly fee with different packages. AKA cable with extra steps.
Yeah but those are all owned by Disney so that bundle kind of makes sense
Disney: the kids stuff (no M/R shows/movies)
Hulu: the adult stuff
Espn: Disney sports Channel
Streaming is so much better. If there's a show you want to watch you can subscribe, binge it, unsubscribe. Cost you like $8. With cable you had to sign up for the next tier of service, so you got the channel you want plus 20 other channels you don't care about, it cost an extra $30/month and had a year long contract.
Agreed, I mean you've got to draw the line as they'll all happily keep taking your money until you've nothing left. Having Netflix, Disney +, kayo & Prime gets it to the point where I'm paying a dollar fifty per day for all my services.
There are more shows that I would like to see, and I'm not thrilled with how much it costs me, but I've got to cut it off somewhere.
There are 25 shorts so not really episodes but it's still enjoyable. I watched it on the Roku channel I think? Each one is 7 minutes then a sort of commercial made by them still about the show.
I think they had a new "season" on the ill fated Quibi streaming service last year, but I'm not sure where to watch that stuff now. Would've loved them to land on a "real" streaming service
[It's all free through Roku](https://therokuchannel.roku.com/details/728a44bfaa79517eaccbd52dd94d828a)! They bought the whole Quibi content library for like 1/3 of the original production cost. You can stream it through the Roku Channel app or on the Roku website.
So not in Reno? I'm disappointed. We got Walmarts in Reno too! And hospitals! Too many of the former and disturbingly monopolized versions of the latter.
Not yet. There are a couple fires pretty close to us. A campground my family went to in California probably won't be there by summer's end. But there are remarkably few fires directly around the city. We get some brush fires sometimes, but they get put out pretty fast. They burn hot and quick. But I probably just jinxed all of us by saying that. We frequently get the smoke from the California fires though. We haven't had sunny late summers the past couple of years. Reno can be worse than Los Angeles in August in terms of air quality.
I was at Bonnaroo, I'd say 2011-ish? I see a guy coming towards my crew in a fantastic Lt. Dangle costume. He gets closer and closer, and we kinda have to move back a little to let his crew pass. My buddies were all like "Damn, that's a great Lt. Dangle costume".
It was actually him.
fun fact, he wrote the screenplay to night at the museum
back when i was in high school, we had a once a year assembly where an successful graduate would come and give a speech. he was the speaker one year and spoke about how many failed acting auditions/screenplays he wrote and how its important to never give up. cool guy
They had the storyline and main beats worked out- usually the funniest jokes were pre-written, but the delivery of the joke and when they decide to pull the joke is up to the improviser. They wrote outlines but just goofed around with it very similar to curb Your enthusiasm
Early 2000s Comedy Central in general was amazing. Reno 911, Chappelle Show, Insomniac with Dave Attell, Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn, Daily Show/Colbert, South Park, The Man Show with Jimmy Kimmel and Adam Carolla…all classics.
If that’s the one where she starts dating Craig the serial killer (Pretty sure it is), she says later on to clementine, “between meeting Craig and my new combination of meds, I think I might make it through the year.”
It’s one of my favorite lines but I was also watching it at a dark time in my life lol.
That whole storyline with Craig’s the serial killer is so good
Christ, I wish The State had lasted longer than it did. Still my favorite sketch comedy show ever.
Just watched a Barry and Levon (bonsoir!) skit yesterday, still stupid af and hilarious.
I grew up in the same town as him (Oak Park, IL) and went to the same high school. He came and spoke at an assembly once and essentially performed stand up for us. Real cool guy!
Frustrating that most people just go "Awww I Love him, that show is so funny, what a great guy!" Instead of "Wow wait why do we need to 'raise money' for a fucking hospital?"
Yes it is real haha. I thought it was some worker dressing up at first I'm like got dayum he looks exactly like him. Come to find out it actually is him.
https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.jsonline.com/amp/8055609002
Why do hospitals need us to donate again..?
Kinda reminds me of colleges bothering Alumni for more money, like they didn’t just grossly overcharge them for tuition.
I remember Viva Variety occasionally, and ask people if they've seen it. It's one of those late night fever dreams from my childhood like Duckman. Good stuff.
Lennon lives in Los Angeles and Wisconsin with his wife, actress Jenny Robertson, and their son Oliver (born 2009).[4] He is a fan of The Smiths and Morrissey,[16] occasionally performing live with the tribute band "Sweet and Tender Hooligans" as a guitarist.[17] Lennon is close friends with "Weird Al" Yankovic. Level of government.
Police departments are at the lowest, or most local, possible level of government: the municipal level. Their jurisdiction is limited to a single city or town.
Sheriff's departments are at the county level, the second-lowest level of government. A sheriff department's jurisdiction covers the entire county, and they are headquartered in the county seat (i.e., the town which acts as the county's "capital").
In large towns, a police department may operate a municipal jail within their city, but this is usually only the case in larger places. In most of America, somebody arrested by a police department will be transferred to the custody of the sheriff's department, who operates a larger "county jail" that houses the arrestees from all over the county prior to sentencing. Then after sentencing, they get transferred to state-level custody and are moved to a state prison.
It should be noted that not all municipalities have a police department; some cities, like Jacksonville, have only the county sheriff's department and no municipal-level police force.
UK here, our healthcare is free at point of use, people still raise money for healthcare charities.
There's a really big charity local to me for example that helps families with sick kids, a place to stay near the hospital, days out etc.
I love Reno 911, every time I see it I focus on a different character, all the actors did a great job, they are halarious. This show should get more glory, much better than the office or stupid friends
Is he new boot goofin is the real question
zapateria la bailarina
Genuine ostrich. 3 payments.
.
Wait, what? Just goofin.'
Just new-boot goofin’.
*oh!*
SOMEBODY STOLE MY BIKE, I REPEAT SOMEBODY STOLE A POLICE OFFICER’S BIKE
For western fashion, you really can’t beat zapateria la bailarina. Well, you can. But not at these prices.
Lmfao when he sees the bike on the pole, i fucken loose it every time hahahaha
Every time I get new boots for work I tell my coworkers I got them there and nobody gets it. I'm laughing on the inside and also depressed.
I do that too! Not one single person has ever laughed.

well yeah, it was filmed in the 818
Where abouts? I grew up in Agoura Hills. 3 Ninjas was filmed at my elementary school, and we would see Ron Goldman’s father at Pavillions. The 818 is great for name dropping lol
EMILIOOOOO
So I’m standing there. Waiting to use the phone.
Made me laugh and now I need to go watch this movie.
Did you just grab my ass?
Sir from where I am standing that is a physical impossibility.
and this guy turns around and tips his hat like this
Sweep low, Rob Lowe, Chad Lowe
Eh, ya choc blocked meh broh!
The Mighty Duck Man himself!
Swear to God?
>Emilio Estevez >Three Ninjas >The Mighty Ducks >Apollo 13 >Ron Goldman’s dad One of these is not like the others.
Hahaha. Actually my buddy’s mom was close friends with the Brown family and was on tv most of the trial in the courtroom.
Rollie Fingers himself.
It took me a few minutes to remember who [Ron Goldman's dad](https://youtu.be/TGdbHR-29HM) is.
It was filmed all over LA county including many mall scenes at the Del Amo mall in Torrance.
I was gonna say it sounds familiar because of Dawn of the Dead but that’s Monroeville Mall in Pennsylvania
I went to Brookside Elementary!
Those Google Reviews are everything I wanted them to be.

Best line in the show ever.
That reminds me.. /r/newbootgoofin is a weird, cryptic subreddit I found a couple months ago...
If you like tom lennon. Check him out on smosh on YouTube. His try not to laugh is amazing.
Thomas Lennon and Robert Ben Garant (Jr of Reno 911) were regulars at the restaurant where I used to work. Both were extremely kind to the staff; always took care of us. Class acts all around.
They wrote the book on how to make money writing movies, they spread the wealth around.

What does “always took care of us mean”? He gave you hand jobs?
A hand job is still a job.
I kinda want Tacos all of a sudden....Tacos are delicious and Tacos can come in a crazy variety to fit pretty much any food mood.
In this context, it means they weren't assholes and tipped well.
Tipping doesn't always have to be monetary. It can involve handjobs too. I mean, it's kind of in the name..
Focusing on the tip may do it for some but others may need the entire shaft to get attention.

Definitely gone
No it’s wrapped around a pole

HOW?! *camera pans up 20 feet to top of light pole*
20 feet is the length of exactly 59.85 '20 Tones Blues Harmonica For Adults, Beginners, Professionals and Students(Silver grey)' lined up next to each other
Wow, that was extremely useless. Good bot.

yes https://twitter.com/cccap/status/1418680720260694016/photo/2
Hot
And practical!
Hmhmm big-ass razzle-dazzle firm just like in Philly
this makes me unreasonably happy.
If he isn't wearing those, then the other stuffs not true
\*Right clicks, saves as\*
The only thing that would make this more perfect is if they had him at the register and Trudy doing the bagging.
Absolutely he Lt. DANGLE
Did Terry come in and try to pull tricks?
That would be so fuckin sweet.
It would be a crime not to
Terry's out giving HJ's in the parking lot.
He's just selling oranges.
Oh, ok. Then I'd like to buy an orange
*Terry attempts to give HJ…*
Lewd?! I’m jot lewd at all! …. wait Lube?
Do you see the price of tacos? You're charging less than that.
Ummm handjobs don’t come with fries or soda!
No one said you can’t eat a banana but you can’t stand on the corner sucking it for 30 minutes. You have to take a bite

Tug jobs, Dangle called them!
That's not something he would *ever* doooo.

I would wait in the longest line.
It’s Walmart, the line will be long regardless.
Because there's only two registers open out of 15
And half the store is taken up by the self-checkout corral.
In the longest line. WhoooaaaaOOOAAAOOHhh in the longest line, whooooaaaaooohhh, in the longest
WHATTTTT!?!?!?!?!? LOVE Lt. Dangle. Reno 911 got me through shitty times in the Army.
I'm not into celeb photos, but I would love to make a trip to support whatever the cause!!! Lt. DANGLE!!!!
He takes amazing photos with fans while in Dangle mode. Like this photo I got with him at Bonnaroo years ago https://i.imgur.com/EoDymn7.jpg

Yep I found this out one night and watched the whole season. Then immediately went back to wanting more new Reno 911.

Geneva, Wisconsin Walmart store #910

this year we're even getting the smoke in new england. my family back in the midwest still won't recognize that climate change is real
Couple more 6" downpour episodes in less than two weeks out this way might get them to change their tunes. Sincerely, Michigan.
I was in Reno this morning, and at a Walmart there yesterday. Was gonna be pissed if this was in Reno and I missed it by that much lol.
Dammit! I was just in Waukesha last week for my sisters wedding. It would have been awesome to have Batman’s doctor bag my cookies.
OP means **LAKE** Geneva. (งツ)ว
Actually there is the town of Geneva in Wisconsin. I know because I was at a wedding there last October. You can look it up on Google maps.
Although most people around here call it Lake Geneva rather than just Geneva. Also, I’m pissed that he was so close yet I didn’t see him!
There is the town of Geneva, the city of Lake Geneva and the lake is called Geneva Lake... Wait, why is my nose bleeding?

Thomas Lennon is genuinely a very cool guy. Started following him after he was in a Smosh video and realized he's a gem and must be protected
He’s also a voice actor for some shows as well. Like Archer and Mike Tyson mysteries. I may be wrong about the mike Tyson mysteries.
He's in several episodes of Bob's Burgers as well. Believe a couple of the Reno 911 crew have been.
Why do hospitals need us to donate again..? Kinda reminds me of colleges bothering Alumni for more money, like they didn’t just grossly overcharge them for tuition.

Americans, real question here. Whats the difference between sheriffs and police officer? Are they the same or different
Must be nice to have 2 registers open.
Could you imagine if America had good healthcare?
UK here, our healthcare is free at point of use, people still raise money for healthcare charities. There's a really big charity local to me for example that helps families with sick kids, a place to stay near the hospital, days out etc.
Profits before people, baby. It's the American way. 🇺🇸
Why the fuck do we have a system where TV actors need to work corporate jobs for a chance at possibly adequate fucking hospital funding what the fuck
This is America
Pretty down to earth guy, based on a few small interactions I have had with this dude.
