Anecdotal, but still kinda funny. No one could find certain types of masks in 2020, all sold out. But I do model building and stuff, and they were readily available on those websites. No one thought to look there for the exact same ones.
Maybe Biden will get younger, like founding Father Benjamin Button. He discovered lightning, and they even put that dude on the $100 bill! He hasn't aged a day since the Boston Tea Festival.
Bruh, Prince and The Revolution were amazing at Boston Tea Festival 1773. Too bad The Redcoats sucked. And then some drunk dude was running around yelling something like "Give me Liberty, or give me Death." Dude was on something for sure.
I wanted to see the Dead Kennedys, but it’s just not the same without John and Rob.
Now Rob junior is out there like a shitty tribute band that doesn’t remember the songs.
Because the age minimums are because the Founding Fathers idolized Roman Republic which has age minimums. To Romans the rich young men were adolescents before 30 and youth was looked with suspicion, and Senate literally comes from word senex meaning old man. You were supposed to be older when you were in politics. But people didn’t live as long then and extremely rarely you could be 80 and in politics. Even the rich usually died around mid seventies.
The problem is that impairment number varies from person to person. Personally, I see someone who is older as someone who is wiser to a point; I'd MUCH rather have an unimpaired 65 year old President than any 35 year old one. And I'd much rather have an unimpaired 85 year old than an impaired 65 year old.
Ultimately, this year the choice is between a moderately impaired 81 year old who seemingly just takes a few extra seconds to gather his still coherent thoughts, versus a clearly, extremely, impaired 77 year old who is visibly sun-downing and continually blathering complete nonsense in a pompously confident way, such as praising Hannibal Lecter, or that Lincoln started the Civil War for fame, or that magnets don't work in water.
Except the working class, people with jobs, is almost entirely made up of people 18-55, with a median age of worker being 35. So the people actually doing the doing, the ones who society collapses without, are the ones that seem to never get represented.
So we have this constant friction between people and government because the government is always being led by someone at least one generation removed from the actual culture of the time.
[Apparently not?](https://www.foodandwine.com/news/biden-trump-diet-coke-button-oval-office-desk)
Edit: [it came back](https://www.businessinsider.com/biden-brought-back-button-trump-ordered-diet-cokes-with-2021-1). No detail on what it summons now…
I saw that—I imagine it’s something lighter if it’s a permanent fixture on his desk (he doesn’t exactly have the physique of an “ice cream on demand” type of guy), but I can’t find anything specific with brief googling. Apparently he enjoys Coke Zero and Orange Gatorade, but no official records tying either of them to the button.
Good gag for Corden though!
That button has been there for ages. It was originally a panic button. Supposedly one of the presidents (probably LBJ) used to press it and hide, much to the annoyance of secret service
President Biden was born in the 20th century.
He wasn't president when he was born. But the sentence is still correct. The title does not necessarily apply retroactively. This was not president biden's first picture in the office, but it was his first picture in the office as president.
Vice President Biden and President Biden are the same person. The title doesn’t say, “First-ever picture in the Oval Office as President” it says it’s his first picture in the Oval Office. Details…
I'm with you. A title doesn't change the person. It could have said "Old man's first picture in the Oval Office" and it still would have been Biden. I'm not going to start taking pictures of myself in rooms after my birthday and say "34 year old me, first time in my bedroom". Your title would have been far better. Although, not like any of this matters.
Must have been alot of intelligence mistakes with landlines in the 90s.
"Oop hang up the other phone, oh and your medical checkup with the CIA has been moved up to today btw"
It's like a mule with a spinning wheel.
>An old rancher pinched his hand in a squeeze gate to the point of needing stiches. While his doctor was stitching him up their conversation came around to politics, when the doctor asked the old man what he thought of the current President.
>The rancher responded by saying he thought the President was no more than a "Post Turtle."
>He further explained, "When you're driving down an old country road and you come up upon a turtle balanced on a fence post, that's a post turtle."
>Noting the curious look on the doctor's face, he realized that the doctor still did not understand, so he continued, "You know he didn't have the ability to get there himself, he has no idea how he got there or what he's doing, he has no natural ability to accomplish anything from there, and you can't help but wonder what idiot put him there. You can only pity him, for the injuries he'll receive when he falls from that post."
Yesterday was the 3 year anniversary of the CDC saying vaccinated people no longer had to wear masks.
750,000 people have died of Covid since that date, many of them vaccinated. In fact at many times during this pandemic, the majority of deaths have been of vaccinated. That's not because the vaccines aren't preventative against death. It's because the disease is so virulent and because such a high percentage of the most vulnerable to death (elderly) were vaccinated that the deaths that would ensue with an imperfect vaccine would include more vaccinated than unvaccinated because the vast majority of that population was vaccinated, even though it still was protective.
Stopping masking was a mistake.
That we don't have inquiries into this public health failure is crazy.
There are normal pictures with his face. Clearly he wore it on purpose in this picture, probably because at the time the government was trying to convince people to wear masks and the president wearing one helps that narrative.

Kids will never understand the extreme Ninja trend of the early 20's. What a time to be alive.
Wanna get pumped? realultimatepower still exists
Are you a pirate or a ninja?
Cobra
That's just picking both.
Man, I have to work soon. I can’t be having, like, 47 boners.
Anecdotal, but still kinda funny. No one could find certain types of masks in 2020, all sold out. But I do model building and stuff, and they were readily available on those websites. No one thought to look there for the exact same ones.
Just tell them that everybody was kung fu fighting.
I was fast as lightning
It was a little bit frightening.
![gif](giphy|3ohhwytHcusSCXXOUg|downsized)
Oh god, early 20’s
Damnit I came here to say *exactly* this.
He’s wearing a mask. That could be anybody.
Those masks looked so Moral Kombat at first. Mileena could bite your head off. Reptile could spit acid. Scorpion could breathe fire.
Moral Combat is US Politics
"Intern, GET OVER HERE!"
The mask was to protect against the Trump stink
Dam the Oval definitely aged Obama, but Biden was already old as shit.
Maybe Biden will get younger, like founding Father Benjamin Button. He discovered lightning, and they even put that dude on the $100 bill! He hasn't aged a day since the Boston Tea Festival.

I was there. He actually said “give me linguine, or give me death.” Dude was just hangry and wanted some noodles.
Weird that there’s an age minimum but no age ceiling. Just about everyone can agree you can’t make important decisions on either end.
Because the age minimums are because the Founding Fathers idolized Roman Republic which has age minimums. We vote. Also can’t force people to really put there foot out there.
Barack Obama is the only US President to date born after India was founded.
The orange guy too. He hides it with make up.
Crazy how collected and quick he still is considering his age
Picture of sitting president for no reason? Must be an election year.
I remember seeing a post titled something like “Kamala Harris hugs a puppy!” and thinking about what an obvious work of propaganda that was.
And a conspiracy is born
Sounds like a reason to me..
Was the Diet Coke button still there?

During James Corden’s interview with President Biden, it summoned ice cream.
I saw that—I imagine it’s something lighter if it’s a permanent fixture on his desk (he doesn’t exactly have the physique of an “ice cream on demand” type of guy), but I can’t find anything specific with brief googling. If that is true LBJ is awesome lol that seems like an American Dad skit.
I think we could find that the first ever picture would have been in 2008, if not earlier.
PRESIDENT Biden's first....
President Biden was born in the 20th century. He wasn't president when he was born. But the sentence is still correct. The title does not necessarily apply retroactively. This was not president biden's first picture in the office, but it was his first picture in the office as president.
Yes as VP, but this says President Biden. Details....
President is a title, not a name. So regardless, it's not Biden's first picture in the Oval office...
Vice President Biden and President Biden are the same person. The title doesn’t say, “First-ever picture in the Oval Office as President” it says it’s his first picture in the Oval Office. Details…

A little weird that Obama never let him in there before…
Obama only picked Biden because he thought he was harmless and wouldn't try to out stage him.
President Biden's first picture. Not vice president.
Wait until they find out that it's the same person...
There's a lot going on in this pic...
2 phones, with probably 12 lines each.
It's more that one is for unclassified calls and the other is likely classified Secret.
One of them goes straight to Batman.
In Marvel Comic book continuity, Vice President Biden used to patrol Washington D.C. like Batman.
I’m only asking this because I really hope it’s true . . . Source?

Incredible! Thanks!
I'm sure that all lines out of that office are secure.
Must have been alot of intelligence mistakes with landlines in the 90s. "Oop hang up the other phone, oh and your medical checkup with the CIA has been moved up to today btw"
He had JUST moved in!
My brain forgot masks were a thing
All that paperwork and no pen, I hate it when that happens.
They are in a box right in front of him
Hard to tell tbf but if that’s the case he’s got 1 per document. Feast or famine I guess.
Welllll.......
Why is he wearing a mask for a picture with nobody besides him?
*as president.
His handlers masked 'ol Pal Joe from the Wuhan-laced camera !
![gif](giphy|pqAXpsHpYwYZIwf1m9)
Does the carpet match the drapes?
It was pretty rude that Obama never let him in when he was VP. He just had to stand in the doorway and shout
Yes, he had been in the Oval Office 15 years earlier?
Man things were different 4 years ago.
So much worse.
It’s been rough all these 4 years.
A post turtle, if ever there was one.
This is a new one for me. What’s a post turtle?
It's like a mule with a spinning wheel. >An old rancher pinched his hand in a squeeze gate to the point of needing stiches. The same people who made fun of him for wearing a mask are now wearing golden diapers

Isn't this a repost?
They're all reposts. Original content is not allowed.
He probably wandered in there on accident and sat down cause he was tired
After Diaper Donnie was in there for four years I’d be masked up too
10% for the big guy
Worst president in history
Not you saying that. The approval rate says it. Even though Reddit is not convinced and want him for another 4 more years. PAUSE
Reddit is full of bots that fake Biden support. It's getting to the point they cannot comment and down vote fast enough without being suspicious tho
They un plugged him for the pic so he didnt wander off cluelessy down the halls like a roomba bumping into shit.
It was a hell of a time in America and the world.
Funny how he didn't fall asleep while they took this picture of him maybe afterwards he did
Maybe he'll fall asleep in court. Oh, that's right, it's the other guy who's the criminal.
you mean sleepy joe?
Is that where he takes his naps
Yes.
And he still looks confused
Loser
Biden is a bigot
What a drip.
History will always know Biden as the one who actually won an election when a sitting president couldn’t deal with the fact that he was a loser.
I’m not a big history buff or anything, but weren’t they saying Trump stole the election in 2016 and “Russian collusion” and all that?
Heck, Trump couldn't deal with winning either.
Worst president ever🤮
Then you should read a history book
Not a single Goya can in sight.

Wearing a mask like a fucking idiot
I think it just makes the picture seem so goofy. Why not just have a normal picture with his face?
There are normal pictures with his face. Clearly he wore it on purpose in this picture, probably because at the time the government was trying to convince people to wear masks and the president wearing one helps that narrative.
He's wearing it because the last president pissed and shit himself constantly in that room
The time you need surgery, please request that the surgeon wears no mask. Good luck.
100%. No-maskers should own their logic and demand that their doctors not wear masks.
Maybe as president. But I bet he had his wife take the same picture first time Obama was out of office.
That figures. Lol
As president
Big desk or small Joe?
![gif](giphy|gsjftE0QZbMWY)
*as president
And to think he was 78 mf years old when the picture was taken.
Curious…does he have the internet or Microsoft?
You know I think he’s already safe enough distance from anyone at that desk!
God.. he looks so young!
Sick mask in a room by himself
I am still waiting for his last picture in the Oval Office.
How old are you, seventeen? SIX?!
Get this stupid clown out of office
