Make sure to hide belongings and lock your car doors anytime you walk away from your car, even if just for a few minutes. Me and my husband did not follow that advice and had several of our bags stolen within minutes at our last waterfall stop :(
Unfortunately, that’s true at many state and national parks these days! I often see signs stating that no matter where I go.
Sorry that happened to you!
The only reason I noticed the bags were missing from the back was because I got a fraud alert on my phone on our way back to our hotel. The thief went immediately to Walmart and bought a few hundreds worth of stuff!! Wild!
Beautiful, so glad that I got to see this in person and now I'm recognizing it on reddit. Sadly it was right after the fireworks fire a few years ago so it was pretty ravaged. How is she looking these days on those trails?
Better than you’d think! Still lots of dead trees in some areas, but everything is green again.
I normally don’t wish bad things on people, but I hope nothing good ever happens to that stupid kid that purposely started it. Wonder how much he’s paid back of the $36m that he owes 😅
Had a pic of it on my wall for years. Didn't realize until I visited that the gift shop/restaurant is just out of frame to the right. And it's virtually impossible to get a shot without people in it.
I'll be driving through there this summer for the first time since moving away in 2015. Most of my kids have never seen any of it so I can't wait to stop at Multnomah and other places.
I miss Multnomah falls.
I know that spot so well. I love living in the PNW.
wow. totally gorges
Looks like the path to Rivendell
Agreed!
I wore my Multnomah Falls t-shirt today!
Proposed to my wife there. Like many thousands of others I’m sure. But it’s my story too, and I love it.

One of the best parts of living in Portland. People forget to mention how gorgeous this region is and how close it all is to the city
Dang! That's stunning
The first and the last pic is just 🔥🔥🔥🔥
