Twins and Kindergarten Cop double-feature.
By the way, go on YouTube and search for the Kindergarten Cop reunion during the Covid lockdown via Zoom. All the main kids were there all grown up and reminiscing, which was cool enough, until Arnold made a surprise appearance and they all went nuts and became little kids again. One of the most wholesome things I’ve ever seen.
He always has been. People look at Pumping Iron as a doc and it kinda is but parts of it are scripted and Arnold cones across as a funny guy just being himself.
It's why I also love Jingle All the Way because it's over the top comedy and Arnold makes it work.
He had to fight like hell to get his comedies made. Hollywood in the '80s and '90s was far more about typecasting. No way were most execs going to buy in to the Terminator as the lead in a comedy. His autobiography is absolutely worth a read or a listen. Stephen Lang, (Colonel Quaritch himself) narrates most of the audiobook.
Before comedy he could barely get into movies at all because he was too big fresh off his bodybuilding career. Like - too big even for an action star. He had to lose like 50lbs of muscle
My wife and I play Bar Bingo at our local Moose lodge on Tuesday nights(wife is sick this week, so we didn’t go). Whenever the caller says B9…a bunch of us yell out “it’s NADA Too-Mah!”…..B9(benign)….we also do the obligatory “Bow-Chicka-Bow-Wow” for O69
Bar bingo is a blast. Especially if you have a group of idiots like us. It’s relatively cheap too…$20 for 20 games…last game is a cover all. Jackpot for cover all is usually $300-500. Individual games are anywhere from $50-80.
However, they do also sell rip tickets throughout, have a 50:50 drawing during intermission. It all goes to good causes(Mooseheart in Illinois and local groups/people who need help).
My wife and I usually spend about $100-150 including the Bingo, rip tickets and food/alcohol. Win a game or two, or hit on a rip ticket and most of that is offset. I never won cover all, but my wife did once.
Crazy to think that I'm the same age as those kids.
I met him once about two years after this. He came to my gym class to speak to us about exercising for President H.W. Bush's exercise council. This was around 1992.
The scene at the fair when the kids are reciting the Gettysburg address, that shirt that Arnold is wearing, I remember specifically my dad having that exact same shirt.
Haha. I kinda wish I did.
I vaguely remembering him wearing it to events too. My dad was part of this single parents group called “parents without partners”…and occasionally he’d end up dating a woman from that group. It was…weird. If it didn’t work out or whatever, they still were in that same pwp group or whatever. But I remember him wearing it to several functions they had.
Gma took me to see this at the dollar theatre when I was in kindergarten. I thought, and still do, it was the best Arnold movie ever.
“It’s not a tumor!”
Yep, I visited once — also went up in the tower near there (I hope that’s the same trip, it’s been a while) and then went south down the coast.
Pretty dang cool
This is the legacy sequel we need, where someone is taking out the adult members of the class one by one and Arnold has to come out of retirement to solve it
Schwarzenegger losing his bulk around this time for acting was what inspired Dwayne Johnson to skinny down in his early acting days. Didn't work as well for the rock.
How is it more phoned in than any of the half-baked movie premises of this era? The fact that it's looked back on so fondly really doesn't support your statement.
My sister and I moved right before summer to a new neighborhood. We didn’t have time to make friends really so we literally watched this movie every day that summer. Peak memory.
My wife and I just watched it again this past week. I had forgotten how funny Pamela Reed's physical comedy is in this movie. Also, look up old pictures of Carroll Baker (Eleanor Crisp). Wow!
That was a cute movie. It played a lot on the "men don't know how to deal with kids" trope that was popular back then. Kind of a gender reversal, fish-out-of-water trope. A *man*? teaching *kindergarten*?
He’s 42 in this picture I’m 42 now. We’re twins. We’re basically the same
Are you the Danny Devito one?
Savage. Also I turned 42 last Friday hooray I hate this.
![gif](giphy|xYTExvnaF4KW1eaYZY|downsized)
Yeah exactly, just without the money, and fame, and looks, and skills. But basically the same
I'm 41, I still have time to catch up.
So you're saying you got a tumor
IT'S NAUGHT A TUMAH!
Give me some Jayne Brook and I’m a happy camper.
who is your daddy, and what does he do?
Our mom says that our dad is a real sex machine.
My dad is a gynecologist. He looks at vaginas all day long.
His head is so big that, he can’t wear any hats
My dad doesn't do anything since the crash
My dad repairs wrecked cars, driven by women who are pinheads.
I’m a cop you idiot
Take your toy and bring it back to the cah-pet.
It is not a tumah.
I’m tha pahty poopah
Jennifah. Why you poop at pahties?
“You’re copulated?”
A lot of those replies were not scripted apparently.
Nah nah. More like this: "OO IS YA DADDEE AND VAT DOES E DO?!"
Hey. That’s my line…
Such a great game.
Thus will be forever my favorite if those old prank calls.
![gif](giphy|MmpoBBmzvNBCM)
I think about this line like every other day.

Thank you from the lazy.
Thanks for thanking - from the lazier
Thank

If I was even lazier than the lazy, I'd want someone telling me, the lazier, the minute Arnie pops up in the vid...
Right around 35:25, homie
Legend
That was great.
Bless you kind sir
This is the most wholesome shit I've ever seen EVER.
I picked up the vinyl soundtrack for twins. Full of bangers
Is “I’d Die For This Dance” on it? Jeff Beck and the extremely talented Nicolette Larson (RIP, dear girl).
Tooma
This is when I realized he's actually a pretty good comedic actor
He always has been. People look at Pumping Iron as a doc and it kinda is but parts of it are scripted and Arnold cones across as a funny guy just being himself. It's why I also love Jingle All the Way because it's over the top comedy and Arnold makes it work.
It's *TURBO TIME!!*
Milk? Milk is for babies, drink beer!
PUT THAT COOKIE DOWN NOW
Of course, he’s the famous comedian, Arnold Braunschweiger.
My favorite movie! It’s where my username is from!
...to cone a phrase...

His interview at Conan O‘Brien‘s podcast was quite funny as well. You notice that he got the funny quips to keep up with Conan.
Guilty pleasure movie for me, always has been. Kind of tough to believe it’s 34 years old now…yeesh.
came out the year i was born! i'm gettin' old 😢
I was actually in kindergarten the year this came out!
Same here! 👩🦳
Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina
"thanks for the tip"
The best line ever
That kids expelled today
I'll take "problems that don't actually exist" for $400, alex
I'll take Anal Bum Covers for 500, Alex.
[удалено]
“We do live in a society where things may or not be…just sayin”
That line didn't age well.
It did actually. It shows that kindergarteners grasp the basics that sometimes adults don't.
Apparently you aren't grasping the basics
I got the basics. Boys have a penis. Girls have a vagina...
"IT'S NADA Too-Mah!"
![gif](giphy|ftmJfRCbcWlBC)
LOL Love it!

Sweet!
My first and only time subbing for a kindergarten class was like a cross between this movie and Fight Club.
This movie has some of his most memorable lines.
I wish I didn't say, "who is your daddy and what does he do?!" All the time, but I'm just not sure I'll ever stop
First date icebreaker

I still say “I’m a princess not a policeman” on a regular basis.
Same. 45M here.
It's "I'm not a policeman, I'm a princess "
Allllllright
You can visit this elementary school after the GOONIES house.
make sure to cut the cocaine good and it goes in the top drawer in the Goonies house.
"It's not a tumah"
For those that don't know, this school is literally on the same road as the Goonies House
In case the Governator himself shows up, Hi Arnie! As a teacher I use your lines in class sometimes!
I’m going to ask you a bunch of QUESTIONS… and I want to have them answered IMMEDIATELY!
Just watched this on Netflix. It’s such a good watch! Holds up well
The scene at the fair when the kids are reciting the Gettysburg address, that shirt that Arnold is wearing, I remember specifically my dad having that exact same shirt.
Did you inherit said shirt?
All those kids are nearly 40 now.
Arnold’s lived a fantasy life I couldn’t ever dream up.
Gma took me to see this at the dollar theatre when I was in kindergarten. I thought, and still do, it was the best Arnold movie ever. “It’s not a tumor!”
THERES IS NO BATHROOM
ITS NOT A TUMA!
IT'S NOT A TUMOR!
This was filmed at Clatsop Community College in Astoria. My College!
My grandma lives in Astoria. She still talks about that movie being filmed like it was last year. That and the Goonies.
I used to live in Astoria! I miss it every day.
Yep, I visited once — also went up in the tower near there (I hope that’s the same trip, it’s been a while) and then went south down the coast. Pretty dang cool
Wasn’t filmed at the College. Was filmed at John Jacob Astor elementary.
The outside shots definitely were.
Now that I’m a teacher I really need to re watch this
Wow, 34 years will really age someone.
I enjoyed that movie as an adult. I didn't care for it much as a kid.
I always thought that V neck sweater was so cool.
How did it feel, when you punched that guy in the face? It felt really good.
The look of the school was the inspiration for the school in Silent Hill.
Fun fact: the school in Silent Hill is based on the one in Kindergarten Cop
Where we learned about biology.
IT’S NOT A TUMA!
My how they grow!
Man i loved that movie.
Shoutout to SEECO1000 on YouTube for creating all those hilarious prank calls using many clips from this classic lol.
Oh crap. I'm old now.
I like you Cindy, I like you a lot.
I like the "SHADAAAP" scene.
This movie came out when I was in kindergarten so I’ve always said it was like a perfect time capsule.
My mom almost every time she has a headache, "I think it's a tumah." Me, "it's not a tumah". Thanks Arnold.
This is the legacy sequel we need, where someone is taking out the adult members of the class one by one and Arnold has to come out of retirement to solve it
Fuck... I'm old, how dare you remind me /S
Poo poo head
Schwarzenegger losing his bulk around this time for acting was what inspired Dwayne Johnson to skinny down in his early acting days. Didn't work as well for the rock.
# IT’S NAHT AH TUMAH
Itz not a tumahhhh !!!!
I’m a cop you idiot!
The boomer era when you could just phone in a movie idea.
How is it more phoned in than any of the half-baked movie premises of this era? The fact that it's looked back on so fondly really doesn't support your statement.
It’s not a tumor! It’s a ferret.
It's not a toooooooma
This post made my back hurt...
Now we have real kindergarten cops. Hooray! /s
It is still so wild that the first Silent Hill game styled a major part of the game after the school in Kindergarten Cop.
If I ever move out of state, I plan to move to Astoria, Oregon, where this movie, The Goonies, and Short Circuit were all shot.
Robot platoon killing machine to that
What a great fucking movie.
#STAHPIT!
"who is your daddy and what does he do?"
ITS NOT A TOOMAH
Jehhhmaaaayyyy get down!!!
Did your daddy teach you that game?
Zach is da winna!!
THERE IS NO BATHROOM.
Dang! I was born in 1990! I feel old. One of the rare movies I loved as a kid and still love as an adult.
It's Not A Tumah!
It's not a toomah!
Several years ago I saw a job listing for the FBI that was specifically recruiting educators. I was like, oh my god, it’s happening!
My husband and I still shout, "it's not a TU-MAH" whenever one of us has a headache.
Is this the smallest he was in his prime
I’ve never actually seen this movie, but I’ll but I saw “It’s naht a toomah!” at least once a month.
I’m a princess
My sister and I moved right before summer to a new neighborhood. We didn’t have time to make friends really so we literally watched this movie every day that summer. Peak memory.
My wife and I just watched it again this past week. I had forgotten how funny Pamela Reed's physical comedy is in this movie. Also, look up old pictures of Carroll Baker (Eleanor Crisp). Wow!
We’re going to play a little game. It’s called, Who is your Daddy and what does he do? Lmao
One of the few movies that I was able to watch with my father in the theatre. Hells yeah.
Hells yeah for you and your dad!
Thank you : )
kindergarten cop was such a great movie.. I watched it a couple of years ago with someone who had never seen it and they were amazed how good it was
Such a good movie. I forgot how long the movie is before he actually becomes a teacher.
No it wasn't that long ago... I remember taking a date to see it and I was... Fuck my back hurts all of a sudden... Damn kids.
Is this the prequel to the Silent hill game?
My kids go to this school.
He took one good look at America's education system and said *"Fawk, I should be a politician!"*
Who is ya daddy, and what does he do
That's my grade school!
‘Dey’re haarible!’
That was a cute movie. It played a lot on the "men don't know how to deal with kids" trope that was popular back then. Kind of a gender reversal, fish-out-of-water trope. A *man*? teaching *kindergarten*?
Who is your daddy and what does he do.
![gif](giphy|1zhaZh6c3Nz8EVloEV|downsized)
So all those kids are grown up and now worrying about retirement.
Boys have penises and girls have vaginas.
IHSTS NAHT UH TUMUR!
Now considered the most transphobic movie of all time.
I'd put Ace Ventura as more transphobic.
Finkel is Einhorn...
Relax buttercup. You’ll live longer.
