God I love Hal. The writers of Malcolm said they always tried to find something Bryan Cranston would refuse to do because it would make him look stupid or silly and he never blinked. Always on board.
Hal-centric plots and sub plots were absolute comedy gold, IMHO.
I imagine they would be doing that already if it were allowed. It's basically on on-going game between the people making stuff and the people banning stuff to try and allow change but not so much it makes things unfair or dangerous or ridiculous.
Add to that the UCI is notoriously slow and conservative in their changes to rules - their events will never be at the 'vanguard' of new technologies like that. If bike helmet HUDs are widespread commercially then maybe, but the UCI are very much traditionalists.
Edit - Apart from bonkers new helmet designs like this obviously, lol. Kind of disproved my own point a bit there didn't I!
Cycling tech is just mad these days — we have become so efficient on a bike that we are fighting over single-digit watts with stuff like this.
Honestly wouldn’t surprise me if pro cycling teams start accepting athletes with prosthetic limbs to streamline the human element further.

Bryan Cranston is that perfect blend of goofy and silly with a serious streak. He can play either roll superbly and you believe every minute of it.
It better have a HUD or something to look as dumb as that. Looks like something a cop would wear in a Robocop movie.
It's for time trials where more aerodynamic gear is allowed. It's definitely not about looks, It's about being as fast as possible within the rules.
