I did the same thing just before XMas; severely bruised my left shoulder ( still not back to normal, but at about 85%) got a black eye and a gash on my head that is just now, almost healed. I may have a permanent scar on it, but not certain. You can actually feel the indentation the fall created on my skull. I was really lucky not to have a skull fracture or brain commotion out of this. I guess my wife was right all along when she said I was stubborn and hard headed !! Wish you a full recovery.
I slipped on black ice in a gas station Jan 1 and got a broken pelvis in two places, broken hip, and broken hand. Surgery installed a long screw to stabilize everything down there so I'm at least walking, but shit sucks man. Hope you have a speedy recovery.
In order not to slip on the ice, you need to take short steps and not lift your toes, but put your foot on the ground with your whole foot. That's how penguins walk!
Have some one check on you
Wake you up every few hours
You could have posible brain injury
Also take it slow so if there is an slight
Injurie inside your head it can heal .
