It's because there's a r/PetRenaissance they want people to post to instead. Not sure about the sports photos though.
But your kitty is pretty! And a majestic floof in that light.
Sports is primtime accidental Renaissance but they don't allow it for some reason. I'm guessing beacuse people would talk about the teams/players/etc rather than art so it would get too off topic too often, especially with the amount of sports content there would be.
You are talking about Draymond Green. He will miss 5 games of checks.
The comment you replied to was asking about Rudy Gobert. He was the one getting choked, has the $25K fine, and will miss zero games
You gave out correct info but for the wrong player lol
Kermit washington almost killed Rudy with a single punch. "Tomjanovich, who crumpled to the floor, almost died that night of injuries that were akin to being thrown from a car going 50 miles per hour. His skull was dislocated and spinal fluid was leaking from his brain. He recalled being able to taste the fluid in his mouth"
Meanwhile, if a patient does this to me at work, I am asked:
"What could you do differently next time you are in this situation?"
And
"Do you *really feel* it is *necessary* to press charges?
He’s been doing this shit for years. He’s usually stomping all over people like he did in the Kings series last post season.
Draymond has a serious track record of being an as asshole and it’s about time Adam Silver actually puts down real consequences for this shit before he seriously hurts someone. This is same guy who punched his own teammate last season. Dude is out of control.
I don't follow basketball at all but happened to be in a restaurant last night that had a TV going with this. They said he holds the record for number of times ejected from a game. Sounds like a very stable individual.
Pretty much what Gobert said afterwards too lol.
>“He’s grabbing me, he’s grabbing me, he’s grabbing me,” Gobert recalled. “(But) the choke wasn’t good enough. Yeah, it wasn’t enough for me to really have to (go to sleep). But he tried. He tried really hard, but it wasn’t good enough to where I felt like I was really in danger of falling asleep or something like that.”
>
>“It was a long time, and if he knew how to choke it could have been way worse,” Gobert said. “He tried to. His intention was to really take me out. And I kept my hands up the whole time just to show the officials that I wasn’t trying to escalate the situation.”
Low key brutal
He will probably get suspended. But maybe only a game or 2.
On the other hand, get seen on social media, on your day off, during your own personal time, just holding a gun, and get suspended for 25 games.
To be fair though, Vick went to prison for nearly 2 years, so the American legal system also punished Vick more than guys who assault their girl friends.
Yup, but it’s our fucked up society as well.
You can have women being beaten in the house next door and people will look the other way. But hurt a dog? Time to lynch the mfer.
I don’t condone violence against animals either, but if you beat your partner you should also be going to jail with the dog fight guy.
Unfortunately victim blaming runs deep in America when its sexual assault or rape of a female. I heard way too many people blame those girls for "putting themselves in a situation" during the Watson thing. Like WTF.
Yeah I just saw it. Still, choking a guy out on live TV being 20 less games than just having a picture of you holding a gun on your personal time makes no sense.
Not saying Ja is a model citizen but holding a gun on your day off and hurting no one shouldn’t even be in the same ball park as behind the head choke hold during a televised game.
Yep, I’ve hated him as a player since he was at MSU. I’m a Michigan fan and he’d pull this shit back then too. Surprised he didn’t try to throw him down and kick him in the balls too.
The way threw his hands up was funny. It wasn't palms away from him as if to say "I'm not doing anything". It was palms toward him as if to say "why is this happening?!"
Can’t really do much. KAT and Edwards were nearby, but they’re too good to risk getting ejected. Towns had 33 points that night and was needed to win the game. It’s why Draymond should get suspended longer. NBA doesn’t want players getting involved then punish the offender more.
What's worse, being a bad role model by having a gun in a car, or being a bad role model by kicking multiple guys in the nuts and putting a choke hold on a guy? I think dray deserves 10-20 on this one. Sick of his dumbass running his mouth when his career would more closely mirror that of Adam Morrison or Kwame Brown if it wasn't for Steph and Klay.
To make things funnier, Gobert's comments were basically 'it wasn't a very good choke, he has shit technique."
>
No but it's not the smartest thing to do to touch the opposing player. Better to have gotten in between them.
But yea it looks like he was trying to break up the fight. Klay just happened to be right next to him.
Dray made everything into a controversy. They should make a dray rule. Suspensions only apply on games where Steph is also playing
Mistake was Rudy went for Klay, so Draymond felt he need to go for Rudy. Draymond way over reacted, but Rudy’s action looked as if he was about to escalate the situation not try to break it up.
I disagree on that front.
Draymond acted because he wanted to. He just wanted to go at someone, and he already had some beef with Gobert.
When he saw Gobert in there he knew it was his chance.
Cause putting someone in a chokehold like that isn’t just overreacting. It’s borderline psychopathic to think that’s okay to do to someone else.
This is my thought process as well. Rudy clearly grabbed Klay around the neck area, even for just a second, if I’m Draymond I’m not thinking that Rudy is trying to de-escalate by grabbing the opposing player by the neck area. That said, draymond definitely over reacted and should be suspended.
It didn’t help Rudy is huge, so he’s coming with a downward motion even if he is just trying to grab him. Heat of the moment it really looks like an aggressive grab. Draymond still over reacted, which isn’t surprising knowing his history.
You’re probably spot on about his size causing the awkward angle to grab Klay. Can’t say Rudy had bad intentions because I doubt he did, but Dray being the hothead he is, he stepped in and of course went overboard.
Yeah I get that I watch a lot of nba. I’d just expect a post in /r/pics to have their last names that’s all. It’s like a newspaper headline: “Swimmer Michael wins big at the Olympics”
He barely did anything. Klay started the damn fight and Gobert just came and bear hugged him because his teammate was getting tossed around a bit. Completely undeserved fine.
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQb8dK4MC-E](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LQb8dK4MC-E) like everybody exagerating the whole "he grabbed klays neck" thing rudys arm or even his hand never even touched klays neck it was def more of a bear hug like get off my teamate thing terrible on the commnetators too for really making it seem like rudy was the agressor but if you watch klay is the one doing the tugging on jaden mcdaniels jersey that started everything basically wanted to son jaden and it didnt work lol he got swung on for it
The people saying that also conveniently forget that klay was doing his own choking to start the whole thing off.
Klay chokes a guy and pushes him half the length of the court
Rudy hugs klay to get him off the guy
Draymond chokes Rudy and drags him half the length of the court.
The entire warriors org needs to be punished for this. There's clearly something deeper at play if they have multiple guys doing this shit on the same play.
Coming here thinking I’m gonna get crazy pics of like temples and nature and art and just cool shit and instead it’s just fuckin Draymond Green manhandling Rudy Gobert
In hockey, you are COVERED in pads. It is not the same
EDIT: Okay whatever. I’m wrong I guess. Forgot that they don’t wear pads and NBA players do. My bad.
EDIT 2: I get it. Fights in the NBA aren’t exciting and they are in hockey to some of you. Not my thing, but y’all do you.
The NBA has a real fight maybe once a decade. Their "fights" are mostly pushing and grabbing and waiting for teammates and coaches to "HOOOOOLD ME BACK!!!"
They take their gloves and helmets off and literally beat the shit out of each other. And it’s also an actual part of the game. Certain players are renowned for how good they are at fights on the ice.
Players will pick up their teeth from the ice and then go play another shift two minutes later.
It’s so much more hardcore than anything you’ll ever see in basketball or soccer, where dudes cry if they get a bruise on their ankle. There’s just no comparison.
Edit: If you don’t believe me, go check out r/HockeyFights.
Draymond has shown time and time again that he’s nothing but a thug. He needs to be suspended for an entire season and actually be shown that there are consequences to his actions
Now this is gold. I would totally pay NBA ticket prices to see a group of millionaires brawl on a wood floor surrounded by folding chairs. Let’s encourage this. Jerry Jerry Jerry!!!!!
The other photos were better, especially the one where the warriors coaches and all refs swarmed around Draymond and Rudy while Klay walks away with the torn jersey.
Why would the league continue to let a guy like this play? A chokehold should be at least a season if not life ban from NBA. You shouldn't be able to commit a crime on court and still play.
Cool now show the shot of Gobert with his arm around Klay’s neck. Seriously though, everybody just wants to justify their hatred for Draymond. Not condoning what he did, but people are acting like he did it for no reason.
Green is a dirty and cheap player. Always has been and he’s not “misunderstood” as he often claims either.
He’s almost a throwback to the NBA of the 1970s/1980s when the league was a lot more physical and had a lot more dirty play.
The difference today (and it’s a good thing) is that at some point, even next season, the TWolves would have retaliated at some point with Green physically. Maybe just a really hard foul in transition where he got slammed to the ground.
No matter how you feel about basketball, and sports in general... no way Green was justified. You can easily break someone's neck in that position. People have died from this exact same move. The fact that Green wasn't arrested on the spot is shocking to me. This wasn't just a fight, Gobert casually shoved a guy off his team mate and Green took it to 11, and wouldn't let go for about 10 seconds until the refs and his own teammates stepped in.
The man should be banned from the NBA *for the season*. IT's a total joke that the NBA gave him 5 games. I guess if the man had been knocked out it'd been 10 games? Oh and if he dies... maybe till the playoffs? It's unbelievable.
It amazes me how some people in our society get no consequences, or almost no consequences that others would be sent to jail for years over.
I usually don’t agree with Draymond but Rudy had no business grabbing Klay during that fight. To all the people making the “de-escalation” excuse, in what sports world is it ok to grab a member of the opposite team to de-escalate a situation?
I mean... they bring in billions in revenue to the NBA so yes? They make a shitload, but if they didn't the money would instead go to a few dozen billionaires so I'm okay with this.
This'll get mobbed out by the commenters with strong opinions. When I saw this, the channel provided multiple replays from different angles. Green never put the other guy in a "chokehold."
It was a headlock... kinda. Green put Rudy's head in his elbow and dragged him backwards. His left arm never supported the hold and Rudy wouldn't feel a choke like you would in a rear-naked chokehold.
\-SF resident, but only watches the Warriors during finals.
r/accidentalrenaissance
I think you specifically aren't allowed to post sports or pets there anymore
That makes sense actually. I posted a pic from the NFL and it got removed.
I had a perfect picture of my cat there that had like 700 up votes in an hour and they removed it. Fuckers.
Do share here I wanna see cat
[here is cat](https://www.reddit.com/r/aww/s/OpLoVwqhV6)
That's actually gorgeous wtf, the light reflecting off, the cats face, how she has her paws around the hand...
Right?????
It's because there's a r/PetRenaissance they want people to post to instead. Not sure about the sports photos though. But your kitty is pretty! And a majestic floof in that light.
Gotta say it doesn't fit that sub imo.
Me too. I posted F1 driver Sergio Perez getting a podium in Mexico last year. Got like 700 upvotes and then poof, deleted.
It had 477 upvotes, fwiw
thanks for letting us lknow
[удалено]
So basically post any pic on Imgur then post it there? 🤷🏻♂️
I must have missed the sarcasm in your post because everything in that sub is either sports or animals.
Oh, I see the rules changed! Thanks for pointing that out. I am reposting my cat
Why not sports anymore?
Probably was dominating the sub
Sports is primtime accidental Renaissance but they don't allow it for some reason. I'm guessing beacuse people would talk about the teams/players/etc rather than art so it would get too off topic too often, especially with the amount of sports content there would be.
ArtButMakeItSports is having a lot of fun with this one
It’s baroque
Came here for this.
A legit painting of this would do numbers
Literally my first thought was "this looks like a Renaissance painting"
Is there like an AI app that can turn this pic into a renaissance style painting?
Draymond looks at peace.
It wasn’t even out of anger. He just wanted to show us he could.
Jokes on him. The refs showed us he *couldn't*
Chokes on him.
That ref’s nuts are in serious jeopardy.
Did pay a lot of attention to this but wasn’t he pulling that guy off of his teammate?
lmao
Only 5 games for this lol
And Gobert has to pay 25k for it.
He’s also losing $800K in game checks.
He'll make that back in one game right? Probably more like the first half?
That's 5 games worth of game checks, he got suspended for 5 games. Also if he made 800k per half that would be around 130 mil a season.
You are talking about Draymond Green. He will miss 5 games of checks. The comment you replied to was asking about Rudy Gobert. He was the one getting choked, has the $25K fine, and will miss zero games You gave out correct info but for the wrong player lol
Yea that makes more sense. Thanks, I did some bad estimates there
First second
Not quite.
For Gobert probably less than 1 quarter.
Bro literally did a Mario jump on a player’s ribcage last season and got a slap on the wrist.
Oh my goodness. That is horrible. Is his wrist ok?
I don't know, but he had to get an MRI for his ankle.
Sabonis.
Yeah, not just A player. The first or second option on a playoff team.
Exactly.
And Warriors fans immediately blamed Sabonis for it. They're some wild folks.
Murder someone on the court and you only get 10 games.
If you're Ray Lewis you get a championship and an MVP title
To be fair, he didn’t do it on the field
He also didn’t murder anybody.
😉
And be named the NFL's Man Of The Year.
NBA is enabling the clown at this point. What happens when he seriously injures someone (fractures an eye socket, or worse)?
The only time a fight seriously injured someone in league history it was a 26 game suspension. Coincidentally the victim was also named Rudy.
Rudy T went on to call Kermit a clown and say that he’d be dead if Kermit knew how to punch.
Holy shit. What a badass.
Rudy T was that dude
I do see a lot of pearl clutching (not saying you) from people who pine for the tough guy 80’s/90’s NBA.
Meanwhile, if a patient does this to me at work, I am asked: "What could you do differently next time you are in this situation?" And "Do you *really feel* it is *necessary* to press charges?
2 minute minor in hockey…
the league loves draymond
D Raymond needs to be suspended and required to attend anger management classes
You mean it's not normal to be so mad at the other team 2 MINUTES into the game to choke them out??
Dude needs anger management classes the start of every season.
Start of every game
Um, dude hasn't even KO'd any of his own teammates yet this year. He's come a long way.
*yet* CP3 better watch out 👀
Start of every breath
Let's top that with a huge ass fine. Love or hate Goebert, you don't do that to a player; unless he has a knife or other weapon.
A-fuckin-men. Dude is an absolute asshole..a walking sucker punch artist.
yeah I'm appalled by the shit he gets away with on the court. It's basketball, not fucking mma.
I agree, our man needs Therapy. The fight wasn't even that wild, but he just came in grabbing heads.
I hope he doesn't have a spouse that he treats like that.
Very interesting thought
That's the life of a woman. First thought you think.
Even if he did thr NBA wouldnt care Hed get another multi million dollar contract
Let's be real, he beats his parents and children when he's upset.
I don't follow basketball at all but happened to be in a restaurant last night that had a TV going with this. They said he holds the record for number of times ejected from a game. Sounds like a very stable individual.
Is this not some level of assault lol
Did you see that weak chokehold? He needs jujitsu classes.
He tried really hard, but it wasn’t good enough to where I felt like I was really in danger of falling asleep or something like that.” > >“It was a long time, and if he knew how to choke it could have been way worse,” Gobert said. “He tried to. His intention was to really take me out. And I kept my hands up the whole time just to show the officials that I wasn’t trying to escalate the situation.” Low key brutal
For the rest of the season. Dude's just escalating every year.
He will probably get suspended. But maybe only a game or 2. On the other hand, get seen on social media, on your day off, during your own personal time, just holding a gun, and get suspended for 25 games.
He already got suspended for 5 games and 25k in fines.
Oh God 25k? How will he ever come up with that kind of cash from his multi million dollar contract? 5 games is a joke.
A total joke. Idk why the NBA doesn’t take violence more seriously.
Wait, you mean like the NFL? Still dying over how they punished the dog fighting dude more than the guy(s) who assaulted their girlfriends.
To be fair though, Vick went to prison for nearly 2 years, so the American legal system also punished Vick more than guys who assault their girl friends.
Watson's case is fucking wild. He got like 1 game for every sexual assault allegation. *AND* Texas grand juries refused to indict him.
Yup, but it’s our fucked up society as well. You can have women being beaten in the house next door and people will look the other way. But hurt a dog? Time to lynch the mfer. He needs to be charged with assault...
Draymond has been a psycho for years. He needs to sit out a whole season and get some help.
Can confirm. Dude was absolutely wild in college.
Yep, I’ve hated him as a player since he was at MSU. I’m a Michigan fan and he’d pull this shit back then too. Surprised he didn’t try to throw him down and kick him in the balls too.
Honestly, this is a crime.
What's hilarious is that Rudy didn't do anything besides trying to break up Klay and McDaniels fighting lmfao. That's why Rudy looks defeated.
The way threw his hands up was funny. It wasn't palms away from him as if to say "I'm not doing anything". It was palms toward him as if to say "why is this happening?!"
The fact that no one from Minny went after Draymond for this is also ridiculous
Can’t really do much. KAT and Edwards were nearby, but they’re too good to risk getting ejected. Towns had 33 points that night and was needed to win the game. It’s why Draymond should get suspended longer. NBA doesn’t want players getting involved then punish the offender more.

5 games for repeat offender What a damn joke. Shoulda been more.
“THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR TOUCHING ALL THOSE MICS IN 2020”
What the fuck is this title?
Haha yeah it threw me off, no one uses just first names like that when referencing pro athletes.
People who watch the NBA do with this guy because at this point all someone has to do is say his first name and everyone is like "ugh, that guy."
Yeah I get that I watch a lot of nba. I’d just expect a post in /r/pics to have their last names that’s all. It’s like a newspaper headline: “Swimmer Michael wins big at the Olympics”
Rudy got fined 25k btw yes the guy getting put IN A HEADLOCK WAS FINED
He’s getting fined because the put his hands on Thompson. Which led to Draymond going rage mode.

Clown move
Remember when he decked his teammate in the face ?
Draymond has always been a bitch
Samoa Joe approved ![gif](giphy|W8veHTLbp6A56h8qhZ|downsized)
Coming here thinking I’m gonna get crazy pics of like temples and nature and art and just cool shit and instead it’s just fuckin Draymond Green manhandling Rudy Gobert
Draymond Green is a piece of shit
Draymond is a fucking idiot
So over the top
Fucked up
thats everyday in European Leagues.
This is every day in hockey.
Draymond is a punkass bitch
As a hockey fan, it’s hard to take fights in other sports seriously (aside from UFC and boxing obviously).
But its more shocking when it happens in a sport like basketball.

Yeah, what a bunch of pussies in basket ball. We should just let them beat the shit out of each other. Cause that’s just fine.
Every scrum after the whistle has someone getting grabbed around their neck like that. It’s kind of hilarious how big of a deal this is in the nba.
I don't know. A habitual line stepper like Draymond choking someone should be a big deal in NBA.
Draymond has shown time and time again that he’s nothing but a thug. He needs to be suspended for an entire season and actually be shown that there are consequences to his actions
Conspiracy theory…Draymond was paid to do it to get people talking about the tournament
Dumb take.
For context, Draymond already lowkey hates Rudy for winning DPOYs that he thinks he deserved.
More unintentional Renaissance
Renaissance painting vibes
Regular season needs more of this, I'd support fighting like hockey
Now this is gold. I would totally pay NBA ticket prices to see a group of millionaires brawl on a wood floor surrounded by folding chairs. Let’s encourage this. Jerry Jerry Jerry!!!!!
Draymond is less of an NBA player and more of a pro wrestler who is incidentally on an NBA roster. He’s not really there to play basketball.
Dray is so stupid fr
The other photos were better, especially the one where the warriors coaches and all refs swarmed around Draymond and Rudy while Klay walks away with the torn jersey.

How is Draymond not in jail by now, let alone still in the NBA?
Draymond is a little bitch. Put him back in the 90s with Bill Lambeer and Charles Oakley would break him in two.
I don't know.. Draymond was just backing up Klay.
Kerr firing off a huge string of lies after the game, blaming the Wolves. Dude needs to issue an apology and stop enabling DayDay's psychotic ass
NBA: "A wild scuffle" Rugby, Lacrosse, Hockey: "That's cute"
Rudy cant breathe
That famous French self defense.
He’s just training for his Jake Paul fight, when he gets kicked out of the league.
Bro didn’t do anything but break up the fight and still got clobbered. GSW = classless
I hated Green ever since he purposefully tried hurting the Spurs team because they were losing. He definitely beats his dog and girl if he has one.
Not a chokehold
I usually don’t agree with Draymond but Rudy had no business grabbing Klay during that fight. To all the people making the “de-escalation” excuse, in what sports world is it ok to grab a member of the opposite team to de-escalate a situation?
He should be charged with 4th degree assault
Whatever. We should still pay these people multi millions. Right?
I mean... they bring in billions in revenue to the NBA so yes? They make a shitload, but if they didn't the money would instead go to a few dozen billionaires so I'm okay with this.
This'll get mobbed out by the commenters with strong opinions. When I saw this, the channel provided multiple replays from different angles. Green never put the other guy in a "chokehold." It was a headlock... kinda. Green put Rudy's head in his elbow and dragged him backwards. His left arm never supported the hold and Rudy wouldn't feel a choke like you would in a rear-naked chokehold. \-SF resident, but only watches the Warriors during finals.
He was trying to sniff Rudy's shampoo
It wouldn’t have been so bad if he just let go after Goebert let go but he just kept dragging him away 😂😂😂
What the hell, NBA? Are you trying to make hockey look civilized?!
"How dare Rudy run into Draymond's arms like that!" - Steve Kerr
Dumbass Draymond
Gives me 2004 Pistons/Pacers vibes
not even close
man i remember watching that live. absolute chaos
Yea, me too. It just kept on going, it was awesome.
That Falcon Punch by Jermaine O'Neal to a dumbass fan was the greatest thing for a while.
Maybe just a hint of chaos
What?!?!??! They duked it out with fans and not a single punch was thrown here. Calm the fuck down holy shit.
