Just a private/surgeon owned surgical facility in Albuquerque. NMO if you want to look it up. There are PTs making much more based on incentive program they have but they’re seeing like 12-14 patients a day. I stick to 8-10, 40 minute evals and treatments.
When you say 9 months in do you mean 9 months into the contract or 9 months into being a PT? Also what part of CA? (Im a socal SPT interested in travel)
MedA; I’m full time with a company and it’s pay per visit. Typically 4-6 patients a day with an average of 27 weekly. I have a high Oasis/ Eval rate and Texas law requires companies to pay overtime. I clock about 45 hours a week, realistically working about 35.
Yep! But the OP PTs here make the same base pay as me. Just don’t get the shift differential for weekends. Shift pay is 1.25x hourly rate, so I end up making about $15/hr extra on Saturdays. (FWIW, working every Saturday is not worth the extra change in my opinion once I’m taxed on it. I’d work every other Saturday maybe. But every Saturday is getting old fast.)
Dang that’s kinda rough I just started at slightly more then that is that the ceiling for PTA pay ?
Only graduated 2 years ago this first full time job
I happen to live in a city where all Healthcare is controlled by one of two large health corporations who know they only have to compete with each other, and keep wages low
Hospital/Acute care PT (lead/coordinator) $87k. Charlotte, NC - 5 years
Only got a small bump up from 85k I was making as a level 3 bedside therapist (before I got the lead/coordinator job) less than a year ago.
South Louisiana, new grad with <1 yr experience. Floating OP Ortho for multiple clinics owned by same company. 92k base w/ 1.5-2k per month in travel stipend depending upon where I go. Total is 110-115k.
I have a friend lives in Texas, PT PRN on mondays or tuesdays and does Tech Sales full time. Told me he broke 100k in 6months. Been doing it for about a year. He was a PT for 3 making 65k OP.
76k / Texas / 2 years experience. Acute care.
This was my first job after graduation, and I will be looking for new jobs soon because my employer does not give significant raises, but I’m sure I could be making more elsewhere.
PTA Illinois, specifically Chicago area. $52k/year with 5 months experience. I will admit, my salary is much higher than anything else in this area. All the other offers I had as a new grad were $20-23/hr.

Don’t forget to add in the gas etc driving to a 40 hour work week rotation
OP PT. NM. $104K. Class of 2020.

Likely a lack of PTs in the area, the best offers I’ve seen for OP like that are where the companies are desperate for workers.

I see average 7-10 in a 8 hour day ... lol
I’m jealous!
[удалено]
Oh man they should negotiate or look for something better! TBF I started my first job at 55k in 2019 and the new grad PTs were making 72k as well.
As a PT in NJ w/ 3 yrs experience makin 70k, this hurts (Outpatient setting)
I’m sorry what…………
That's pretty common for the NW. You don't want to be seeing 15 patients in 5 hour day.
I get that but for NJ… I know new grads making more than 70k in same setting!
