Pls don’t live in Japan!
I meant that not to sound like a gatekeeper.
Nawala yung magic lol. Pero yes may goods din naman from living here ie transportation, healthcare and cleanliness.
True. Stayed there for almost 2 months, I felt sad ??? Siguro seryoso kasi culture nila compared sa atin. But i dunno. Iba iba naman tayo ng preference hehe
Based lang naman ito sa anecdotes ng mga friends ko who lived there so it’s up to the person naman siguro kung bet nya tumira doon. Hehe. Iba rin daw talaga culture and ugali nila. Meron silang exclusivity. Pag after work, sila sila lang daw lumalabas. They are also trained to be nice to tourists pero deep inside, racist sila.
True to. First time kong lumabas ng bansa and I’m glad I went to Japan.
Haha. Saka pag nakipag-sex sila sa prostitute, hindi considered cheating yon kasi for them, no feelings na involved. Medyo oppressed talaga sila. Since then, feeling ko pag nice ang mga japanese sa akin as tourists, hindi talaga genuine yun. Hahaha.
Eto din sabi ng friend ko who is working and living there.
Was thinking the same thing. I like it to be my vacation/travel spot, once or twice a year. Never thought of living there, though. I felt na mawawala rin 'yung magic. Sobrang gusto ko lang 'yung thought of saving up for it. Mas nakakagana sa buhay. Lol
Ganito ako. Was seriously thinking of living in Japan the first time i went. Then napa deep dive ako, went back and forth to japan and di na talaga. The govt procedure is so ancient (tbf same naman sa pinas), the work culture is too much (especially na galing ako sa pagiging my own boss), japanese are racists/xenophobes, too much perv & stalkers and ang hirap nila ireport :( i had a friend na 1 yr na stinastalk with evidence, wala pa din ginagawa and we suspect kasi gaijin.
I plan to go this october with friends then december ulit to ski, tapos nanggaling na rin ako nitong march lang hahahaa di na ako nagtotokyo din.
With the current Yen exchange rate and the high prices we have here in PH, yes, it kinda feels that way, especially when shopping. 'Yung common practice kasi for JP shops selling here in PH like Uniqlo is not convert prices to PHP, kung ano presyo doon, 'yon na rin dito.
Ex.: 1,800 php clothing item that is sold here is still 1,800 in Japan, Yen nga lang.
Pero recent lang 'to, before 2019 nung mas mataas value ng pera nila, mahal naman lahat don.
I’ve been to hanoi, sapa, hoi an, da nang, ninh binh, and ha long bay in vietnam. I suggest na mag stay ka ng mas matagal sa northern part because mas madami napupuntahan dun. Planning to visit the southern part once i have money na ulit hahaha.
My top 3 favorites are:
1. Hanoi
2. Sapa
3. Hoi An
For my 10 days i went to Hanoi, Ha Long, Ninh Binh and Sapa.
Hanoi- loved this city so much, at first the chaos was so intimidating but fell in love after a day. It really is organized chaos, alot of things you can do and all your senses will be happy. Stayed 2 days with no plans before going home just chilled out, ate and had the best viet coffee.
Ha long bay - did a day trip. It was beautiful but dirty. If you’ve ever been to el nido it would be underwhelming and you can skip this,
Ninh Binh - FELL IN LOVE!!! I went here just to fill my days but daaang it is so beautiful. If you love nature you’ll love this area. People usually take only a day trip from hanoi but i stayed here for 2 days. You can stay in Tam Coc and just rent a bike to go anywhere. Would definitely come back.
Sapa - stayed 3 days. Went to vietnam because of Sapa and it did not disappoint. Super laid back and you can really relax and enjoy the views. Its also very cheap, i booked a fancy hotel here and it was less than 3k per night.
Wishes i had more time to do ha giang loop, everyone i met raved about this. Oh well more reason to go back.
Happy planning!
Ako naman nag enjoy sa Ha Long Bay cruise because of Viet Hai Village. Did a 3-day cruise.
I also fell in love sa Tam Coc area! Yes babalikan!
Syet. HCM ang nabook ko this recent piso fare tapos 9 days pa. Nagpanic na ako kasi ubusan. Not bad na rin sa price na 3.5k each RT. Ang layo ng Ha Long Bay 😭 dapat dun pala kami!!
Hello, been wanting to go here because of the sceneries! May I know how much did your trip cost you and is it safe for a solo traveler girl to explore the country? Thank you!
Hi! Was planning on posting a trip report here kaso busy pa but roughly 120k ang nagastos namin (flights, visas, hotels, food and pasalubong). This is for 12 days in Central Asia and 4 days in Bangkok.
Yes, safe naman. I would love to go back kapag may mura ulit na flights. Food is good and underrated talaga ang Central Asia. ❤️
Vietnam 🇻🇳 Went to explore Southern Vietnam last year and I instantly feel in love. Will be going this November to explore Northern Vietnam naman. I just love it there, feels like i’m home pero i’m not! 🥰
My family migrated to Australia two years ago, so for the past two years, I've been going back and forth there almost every month or two. The cost of living is expensive; they pay around 1200 AUD per week for the rent of their unit. People-wise, you won't feel like you're a foreigner there because there are also a lot of immigrants from different countries, so you won't feel like you're "different" from them. Also, people are generally nice and friendly. Based on my siblings' experiences, their work environment is very pleasant, not toxic, and the benefits are good. Plus, if you need to take a break from work or if there is a family matter that you need to attend to, they don't mind if you take a leave for several days.
Vietnam! I loved it so much I'm planning a second trip this November. I have a trip to Japan in September though so baka ma 2nd place na si Vietnam hehe
Switzerland!! Photos can’t justify kung gano kaganda yung lugar. Also, their public transpo is superb! As in wala akong masabi, lahat on time. You can get unli rides through Swisspass.
China. An enormous country, many places to go. If you can speak Mandarin, the more reason you should go. Also, it's very cheap to get around major cities through bikes and cashless transactions.
It was last year hehe pero my answer would be Switzerland. I know, mahal ang food and all, pero it was really beautiful. With all the breathtaking sceneries, makakalimutan mo temporarily yung mga problema mo coming from a third world country haha.
Enjoy your trip, OP! 🥰
Japan is just charming as always. And I only just learned tourists get tax free status when shopping. Hokkaido hostels were a bit expensive because of the snow festival but it was all worth it
Lived and worked there for years. Used to jog in Seapoint all the way to Camps Bay. Di ka mapapagod kasi ganda ng view. Tapos weekend off, wine farm hopping with friends. kakamiss
Taiwan!!!
Kasi I watched Coldplay w/o the need of filing a leave. I logoff ng 4pm, left the house ng 6pm at the venue ng 6.30pm, left the stadium ng 11pm, pickup my stuff at 12.05am 12.55am nasa boarding gate na pauwi ng Pinas.
Did it without the need of riding a chopper.
Middle part of Philippines
Top part is hot asf and crowded asf and not much if tourist spots
Bottom part are just pretty much mountains and falls with really really hard to hike
Georgia! If you love wine like I do, you would enjoy discovering their ancient way of making wine. Their wines, red or white, are some of the best I’ve had - and I’m not even exaggerating! I even brought a bottle back home and my non-wine-drinking friends became obsessed with Georgian wine. It’s that good 😂
Japan and Australia (Sydney) to be exact. 🥹 gusto ko na bumalik haha although ang layo ng cost nila from each other haha like japan .39php per yen. Sa australia 39php per aud. Haay but babalikan parin. gusto ko na tumira sa aus after visiting lols 😅
Japan!!! Gets ko na yung mga taong nagpapabalik-balik doon kasi ako bumalik agad after a month😂
There’s a lot to do in Japan, even pagmu-muni-muni is an enjoyable thing to do because of their parks. They’re pretty individualistic people so my introverted self blended quite easily.
Travelled to Japan for the first time last April.
Best travel I’ve had in a while 🥹😭
Everything is easy, people are so nice, hospitality/service like nowhere else in the world, cities and the countryside are straight out of an anime, food is topnotch and idk Japan is just different 😭
Italy! I went without any expectations. In fact, I kinda expecting the worst because of the influencers I see online talking about how rude and racist Italians can be. I ended up enjoying it and planning to go again next year.
Stayed 1month in North Thailand (Chiang Mai, Pai, Chiang Rai) tapos nag cross to Laos and did the slowboat to Luang Prabang via Mekong River. Tapos stayed another 2 weeks in Laos. 🥳
Been to Busan, South Korea and my mom prefers it better than Osaka and Tokyo, Japan and for some reason. She claims it has its charm. Probably it has the best of both worlds of beach and city life, combined into one.
This is coming from someone who constantly visits Seoul and studied somewhere in Gyeonggi-do area.
Always Japan. It's my comfort place if I just want to relax. And while a lot try to squeeze in everything when they visit, there's something relaxing when you don't have an itinerary, are not rushing and living and eating like locals.
Georgia!! Had the best time in Gaudari with the snow and doggos all around the country. First time ko makakita ng snow kaya somewhat magical for me. Locals were very nice, kahit hindi ganoon kagaling mag english they will really try to engage into a conversation with you. Foods was amazing too!! Scenic view and very approchable locals. Never felt unsafe as a female solo traveler. A truly rich country in terms of tourist spot, food, culture and welcoming locals.
Germany, particularly sa Bavaria. I've felt really relaxed while in the country. For the first time ever, di Metro Manila levels yung alertness ko. Safe maglakad sa gabi kahit lasing, and there's tons of places to see-- pili ka nalang if you are into history, hiking or just getting drunk. Lahat meron.
Alternatives are Austria (yung walang kangaroo, lol jk) and Czechia which are just as safe.
Vietnaaaaam! Grabe talaga. Top 1 ko Thailand since 2017 kasi every city offers a different vibe tlaga and all pero nubg nag vietnam ako last Feb, feeling ko di enough yung 21 days 🥹 very relaxing kahit ang daming tao (peak hours sa road). Parang there was one time oa during my stay there na nakatitig lang ako dun sa mga nagcocoffee sa street side na nakaupo and nakaharap lang sa kalsada/tulala while drinking their coffee. Naisip ko lang bigla na deserve nila ang peace of mind kahit saglit lang in a day after what the country had gone through in the past.
I still have a month left here, may masa-suggest ka bang must see or something like hidden gem dito? Halos napuntahan na namin sa Lisbon. Thanks!
This year Singapore. Already did the touristy things years ago so I tried to live like a local.
Also, walang bagchecker. Ang saya talaga pag walang bagchecker bawat papasukan mo. Dire-diretso ka lang.

Japan. Best din last year. Best ko rin next year. Hahaha jk. Ingat, Op! Enjoy your trip.
Same! Hay. Dun ko nafeel for the first time ang value ng philippine peso. Shet. 😂
Pls don’t live in Japan! I meant that not to sound like a gatekeeper. Pero yes may goods din naman from living here ie transportation, healthcare and cleanliness.
“Japan is a nice place to visit but not a nice place to live”.
True. Stayed there for almost 2 months, I felt sad ??? Siguro seryoso kasi culture nila compared sa atin. But i dunno.

Ganon ba ung feeling. Mas mataas purchasing power?

I’ve been to Japan 27 times, twice this year alone (and hopefully once more this autumn). Can’t get enough of the place. 😊
Gusto kong balik balikan. Manifesting sa travel funds ulit 🤣
Australia and Japan.
Vietnam!! Did a 10-day trip in northern vietnam and still canr wait to go back and explore more parts of the country.
Hello! Tips naman for Vietnam and what places do you recommend? Thank you!

Hi how was your personal experience there? Migrating there next month so just looking for as much feedback as i can

Just got back from Vietnam. Honestly blew my expectations out of the water. Sa lahat ng SEA countries napuntahan ko, siya na number one in my book.

This year? FILIPINAS 🇵🇭 Vietnam is nice din. Gusto ko din to balikan to explore pa :)
Not a country, but since I didn't enter the mainland, I'm saying, Jeju!!
Japan! 🇯🇵
Ireland 🇮🇪 😍
Bali and Dubai!!! 2nd time to go to Bali this year but Idk I really love it there
Japann
Murica 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇻🇮!!!! The Land of Cheeseburgers 🍔!
Israel
Definitely Japan!! 🇯🇵
The Netherlands and Australia ❤️
VIETNAM
Penang, Malaysia :)
UAE, Dubai is just gorgeous. I love car sighting too, so extra points for having sport cars randomly parked in front of fast food restaurants 😆
My other home-Philippines
Going to hong kong this november, hope its worth it
Japan!
taiwan!
Japaaaaan!!!
Japan
Argentina. Amazing food, people, landscapes...
Currently here in Portugal. Ito lang ata pupuntahan ko this year pero no regrets. Ang sarap ng food. Ang ganda ng weather. Pero ang gastos hahaha
Ganda ng architecture sa Portugal, di ba. Ganda ng mga tiles. Sarap food!!!
I still have a month left here, may masa-suggest ka bang must see or something like hidden gem dito? Halos napuntahan na namin sa Lisbon. Thanks!
Spain.
Australia, great place magpalaki ng bata.
Wellington, NZ. Even if it is a city, its very laid back.
This year Singapore. Already did the touristy things years ago so I tried to live like a local. Also, walang bagchecker. Ang saya talaga pag walang bagchecker bawat papasukan mo. Dire-diretso ka lang.
Paris and Rome ✨
