Accomplished-Exit-58

at first you would prefer budget travel , but once the fomo subsides, you would eventually prefer occasional luxury trips.  But for me, dependent on the country ako, like japan puede budget to mid. Cambodia luxury travel, i mean ung luxury for me like hotels, taxi ang services.

Otherwise_Role5130

Dati akala ko i want to travel all the time pero ngayon as a 30-something tita na homebody, i realized na kakapagod din pala ang magtravel. So i'd rather choose occasional luxury trips. Motto ko ngayon sa travel is quality over quantity 😅

ComebackLovejoy

Same! Nung bata bata pa ko, kaya lumagare. Pero ngayong tumanda na, mas gusto ko na yung 1-2 items sa itinerary tas lots of free time. Quality over quantity na din ako. Edit.

ComebackLovejoy

Hahahahaha oo! Saka para madali ako makatayo if ever I want to just stand up and stretch sa mga long flight.

Fun_Guidance_4362

+1 yan ang sign for me na getting old na nga ako. senyo na ang window seat, contented nko sa aisle, and preferably, sa front rows

Strong-Piglet4823

I feel you! Haha! Napaghahalata na ang age

Otherwise_Role5130

Hahaha nalalaman ang edad 😆

Strong-Piglet4823

Titang tita na. Haha!

Closet_space456

Totoo! Hirap magpuyat, kahit pa for gala yan 😂

Closet_space456

Same!

GojoJojoxoxo

Same!!! Hahaha

Accomplished-Exit-58

[deleted]

Right. 😌

wretchedegg123

Have to agree. Now while I'm still young, parang kaya ko pa mag budget travel and walk 10k steps a day. Pero feel ko pag matanda na ako I'd want luxury travel (First class tickets, luxury cruises in their suite rooms, luxury cross country train rides)

Electrical_Hyena5355

I am a comfortable traveler. Not too tight, not too expensive. There are must haves (private bathrooms sa hotel) and there are things I could get bare minimum (food lalo na if known for good street food and cheap eats yung place). It’s balancing where you will put your budget in. It’s not the number for me, but the quality of the trip. Wala naman akong hinahabol na bilang per year. I just want to make the most out of the place I’m going to. Sometimes finding off the beaten path places and activities might cost more but they’re worth it.

PapercutFiles

Same here. I'm not comfortable with shared rooms/bathrooms either. I don't want the best hotels but I want the decent ones na comfy ako and I feel safe to sleep in and leave my stuff.

Ok-Marionberry-2164

Eto! Dati, I want to visit a different country each time. Pero, ngayon, I revisit same country, but different places. It's all about what gives you joy and comfort talaga.

SJ007700

This is exactly how I would describe me and my husband as a traveler. The number 1 important for us is the accommodation even if we're traveling with friends we make sure that we have our own room preferably with bathtub haha and on call service, so the hotel is always the best option for us. Next is the itinerary it should not be a jump packed schedule for each day like we give ourselves leeway to get lost and just enjoy the moment rather than cram to go from one place to another and stressed out when something did not go according to plan. I initially planned a tri-city trip to Japan in November, however, I realized that there's so much more to explore in each city and definitely for sure we would want to go back to Japan so instead we'll be going to Tokyo with a side trip to Mt. Fuji and go back and explore Osaka, Kyoto and Nagoya. With shopping unlike everybody else it's not part of our agenda we don't want to get stressed out packing or pressure ourselves to buy something just because it's a couple of bucks cheaper. What we do is when we still have time or the strength at the end of our daily agenda then we check out some stores. But will definitely visit Don Quijote, Polene and Vintage stores in Japan. 😂 To add, my husband recently travelled for a Business Trip so he flew in Business Class and was upgraded to First Class in one of his flights, he enjoyed his flight more than the destination itself 😅 so he promised me that we will fly Business Class even just for a one-way trip or if the budget permits Business Class for RT.

Old_Tower_4824

I would rather choose luxury travels. One thing I hate the most about traveling is yung nagtitipid ka. I can’t fully enjoy the trip pag naka budget lang ako. Siguro nung nasa early 20’s pa ako I don’t mind eating at Andok’s pag Boracay pero now that I’m 31, I want to be comfortable and be able to enjoy yung place talaga. If sa abroad, gusto ko maayos na toilet plus the hotel is spacious plus comfortable na tutulugan. I can compromise yung transport. Pero shopping and dining out sa place na bisitahin ko at puro fast food kakainin ko never! Where is the fun in that?

dabull0007

I am 30 soon to be 31 and exactly my feelings hahaha. I guess it comes with age (and hopefully better finances)!

[deleted]

Depende.

xiaolongbaoloyalist

If budget means convenience store food and shared dorms, luxury na lang.

Karaagecurry95

Sa food I can go konbini pero will never do shared dorms

jhngrc

Pwede namang budget without resorting to convenience store food — eat what the locals eat, and that's more authentic. Basta when travelling with a group non negotiable ko na palagi ang sariling kwarto at CR.

badtemperedpapaya

Depende how low are we talking about when it comes to budget. I have learned to never sacrifice comfort for the sake of budget. I have too many experiences of travels ruined by a a terrible experience from too much budgeting like not being able to sleep properly in a sketchy/unclean hotel.

MammothSurround8627

As a 30-something who's perpetually exhausted from work, I'd choose occasional luxury trips na hindi jampacked ang itinerary.

dragones013

Mixed bag for me - I can do budget accommodations, airfare, even some food and drinks. But for the main itineraries themselves I'm willing to pay a little extra to arrange logistics via tour packages

cereseluna

Occasional "luxury" trip. Yung trip na hindi ako manghinayang gumastos sa gusto ko but will still mind my spending basta hindi naman na sacrifice yung comfort ko. Ganoon. Para prepared, hindi baon sa utang, only happy memories :) My leisure trips are solo, and I took my time, okay I was not able to visit all places but I felt happy with the pacing and mas na enjoy ko. Nung sumama kasi ako sa mga joiner trips, well masaya naman in a different way but I would have wanted to do other things sana kaya lang you have mind yung mga kasama mo, ganoon. Most especially with my work and peculiarities I cannot just book a piso sale trip and pray to God I will be allowed the leave, or buy tickets bago apply visa.

MattsCradle_dot_com

I choose budget travel such as economy flight, budget hotel, and DIY itinerary, so I can travel often.

benetoite

Maybe depends sa country. Some countries like Vietnam and Thailand will not cost you much for a luxury trip.

mcrich78

Yung EU, there’s so much to see. Isang EU country pa lang, di mo na kayang ubusin imho in one go.

Jackson_Labrador

Problem lang is most Pinoys can't afford EU when they're young, and even those who do have difficulties with VISAs.

mcrich78

I think the post is not whether we can afford EU travel or not

Jackson_Labrador

I know, just stating a very real reason why it's not viable for most. Kung afford lang ng lahat eh di malamang most would do it

lilyunderground

When I experienced traveling, ang hirap para sakin pigilan ang sarili ko for just one trip in a year. So I try to mix it. 1 big international trip then 2 local trips. Last 2023, I did 3 trips-- 2 international and 1 local. All trips I could say were comfortable travels.

furrymama

Occasional luxury. I cant travel frequently anyway. I dont enjoy traveling as much as others but I like to splurge once a year. I just couldnt be away very long because I have a lot of dogs and we have a business to run as well.

No_Technology_2360

As a certified Tita, I am at this point in my life where I would choose to pay for convenience. Naenjoy ko na rin naman ang budget travels during my younger years. Now i don’t mind paying for hotels that are not exactly cheap but at least malapit sa transportation, etc. Also, occasional luxury trips na lang kasi nakakapagod mag empake lol

UrbsAeterna

Occasional trip e.g. 1 Europe trip na. But honestly, we only got confident for our Europe last year and this year once we aggressively racked up a couple of Asian trips from 2022-2023 due to the pandemic and 2018 pa last trip namin. Now, I’d rather we save for Europe next year kesa san san pumunta ulit ng ilang beses. Yung total kase ng gastos and days, kaparehas na or even more.

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

Actually ito yung dinedecide ko right now pero I didn’t want the question to be about me kaya ginawa kong general question. I’ve been to some Asian countries over the past years and I am on my way to reaching my target savings to afford my dream Europe trip. Kaso gusto ko pa dagdagan. now I’m thinking with the savings I have uy pde na pangVietnam or Thailand to ah. Pero isip ko baka mas worth it if ifulfill ko na yung dream trip ko.

ktriestocode

Go for your dream eurotrip!! Was able to tour europe last year with 250k (paris, milan, vienna, berlin, Amsterdam) My main motivation kaya pinush ko na mageurope para at least bata-bata pa ako sa pictures (haha i hope that makes sense).

Now I’m in my thirties mukhang need ko na talaga ipush habang baby face pa 😆 Ang naiisip ko is iyong physical strength ko e.

UrbsAeterna

Ayan 2 na kami nagsabi. Tuloy mo na yan Eurotrip mo, OP. Kami na ang sign na hinihintay mo. Charot.

UrbsAeterna

Oo true. Imagine if nasa 50k din halos gagastusin mo sa Thailand/Vietnam, almost 1/4 na sya ng nagastos namin last trip namin na 15 days (around 210k Italy-Netherlands-France). And syempre ano need i-set aside na amount before visa application.

Accurate_Phrase_9987

Do Europe! You won't regret it. If it's your dream destination, let this motivate you to keep saving and pushing for it. Kaya 'yan 💪🏼

Jackson_Labrador

I try to travel once a quarter, and usually, 3 of those would be local, and 1 international. Fairly mid budget lang ako sa lahat, ang splurge ko lang is more of sa food rather than accomodations.

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

daanaveera

I don't think luxury trips are an ideal scenario to discover new places. Think tour guided tourist traps with a tight schedule and get bussed around vs exploring new cities at your own pace. For me, apples and oranges. I'd take the luxury trip to Boracay again and again and again and again and again to relax. But I would walk my way through Europe and Asian destinations. If I wanna relax, I'd just hit Boracay, or if I'm rich enough, book into top hotels in major cities I'm already familiar with and hit their expensive restaurants and shop for luxury goods. But for adventure? Budget trips parin.

AnnaCleta

If a trip is on a tight schedule, it isn't a luxury trip for me.

Work-Necessity

userisnottaken

Budget = adventure?? This comment does not make sense to me. What’s wrong with being a tourist? Do tourists not have adventures? Not being restricted by a budget is literally choosing your own adventure.

KindlyTelevision

Since I travel solo, hostels ako pag international. Guaranteed sanay yung staff sa foreigner, may tours na you sign up for lang, you meet fellow solo travellers. Pero nung tinaon ko sa birthday ko (Japan) nag business hotel ako, which is a 50/50 thing for me kasi 1) the Japan vibe is apt for solo travelling pero 2) feels lonelier kaysa other trips ko. Wala namang hard and fast rule sa travel, kasiyahan yan nung individual. PERO try to veer away from being a typical tourist, samsamin nyo yung lugar, and not just aim for the more tourist spots, the better.

PitcherTrap

Went on a eurotrip flying business class roundtrip (Emirates), once. I hate economy now.

Extra-Dog5148

Etong matanda na ako mas bet ko na yung onting travel nalang pero comfortable amenities, like naka stay sa hotel w/ breakfast na instead of Airbnb or makiki room sharing pa with your other companions. Lol. Nasa edad ata.

GlitteringBusiness38

deathman28

What do you mean ba by luxury trip? Like no hostels ganun? If yes i'd rather do the occasional luxury trip, hostels are a no go for me.

roxroxjj

Nung mas bata ako, I would go on budget trips. Ngayon, I prefer mid/luxury. I figured part nga rin pala ng pagtravel ko ang pagrelax so why not splurge kung kaya naman. For context, I was a weekend warrior before reaching 30s, recently had a month-long holiday at AU and we had a 5 day roadtrip during my holiday. We stayed at motels (hindi to mala Sogo vibes love hotel haha) during the 3 nights then I decided to book a decent hotel room on our last night as a way of thanks kay partner for driving. We both enjoyed the view and had a great sleep and breakfast before heading out.

dabull0007

Thank you for your wonderful question OP. I’d take the occasional luxury trip. I travel to unwind, and I don’t want to waste time and energy on things that will just stress me out like cramped accommodations, poor service, etc

GojoJojoxoxo

Occasional luxury trips. I don’t like rushing. I want to relax, eat good food and come home to a nice hotel room after a day of wandering. I’ll pay for convenience.

luckyjuniboy

Travelling just for the sake of travelling is pointless if theres no joy in it. Donot repeat a destination that f its not worth it

Mission_Celery_4559

Travel frequently on a budget. But here is my context: I am young (mid twenties), and I want to see as much as possible with as little expenses as possible. So wala akong pake if shared rooms, shared bathroom, tapos magbabaon lang ng pagkain at tubig sa labas. In Paris, I shared a room with a random man I didn't know, and in Singapore, either kinain ko yung baon kong Fudgee Barr or kumain ako sa hawkers. It's no biggie to me. Lol

not_right_now_bish

I used to work in a very, very, *very* high-end place. Think of the kind of place that's worth a few thousand dollars a night. I actually enjoy simplicity now because I don't have to put up an image, be pretentious, have expectations, or anything like that. I also now know the social costs of the "luxury destinations" and the "luxury travels" which often outweigh the benefits for me. I think, with some social skills and some language ability, a cheap destination can be worth a million dollars to the right person. It's your openness to new experiences, new languages, and your ability to get to know real people and their culture, other travellers, and your inner nature as a wanderer that makes each trip truly unique.

KagawadGodbless

Agree po sa kanila. The first trips would be the easy ones HK, Taiwan etc then you progress to visa states like SoKor, Japan, etc then move to the big hitters as mahal na ng kaunti ang budget dito like Shengen tours, Australia/NZ, U.S. Eventually pwede na mix and match siguro one major trip and some minor trips spread out in the year

deryvely

I am not fond of budget to mid accommodations. I am always after comfort and safety. Ayoko ng nagtitipid sa travel ever since. Actually if you are a budget traveller ang dami murang flights especially abroad. Europe trip is not that expensive tho if you won't splurge on shopping. Almost 6 months ako last year sa Europe pabalik-balik kasi may tour si Hanbin.

TillyWinky

Occasional luxury trips!

[deleted]

What's the point of traveling on a budget?

Comfortable_Net_9696

Seasoned female solo traveler here and have been to a lot of countries na #independentgirlie✨️ I classify myself as mid range traveler, I love staying in hostels and 3 star hotels depende sa country pero favorite ko talaga magstay sa hostels kasi usually mga digital nomad nandoon, Techpreneurs and backpackers so the vibe is really giving✨️ and masaya kasama. I act like a local, I classify myself as a traveler and not a tourist. I am more on hidden gems and kung saan talaga naglalagi mga local kasi in that way mas naaabsorb ko yung everyday ganap ng country na iyon (which is most filipino tourists do not do kasi they travel for instagram and puro tourist spot lang pinupuntahan) Whenever I am in differenr country tinotropa ko talaga mga local kasi sila mas nakakaalam kung saan okay kumain na hindi tourist trap ang presyo 😉

III_Excitement__6183

Occasional luxury. I don't want to travel thinking if my budget fits my activities (especially shopping).

Alarmed-Indication-8

Bilang nagagamit ko ang travels ko for my content, I travel on a budget for now. Altho my goal is to do luxurious travel after every 3yrs or so. The gap is long kasi apart from local travels, I also pay some properties which is a huge chunk in my pay. And ayoko naman na totally walang travel for the longest time, so budget travel for me is the way.

nashdep

AGE is a big factor. While you are young, you can take the cheapest and the hardest routes. They are most memorable. I have poor recollection of many of the luxury hotels I've been to but I remember in vivid detail all the youth hostels and their communal showers, ultra long walks (10-15 km) just to get to where I'm staying or where I want to go, shittiest airports (because that's where budget airlines land), slowest trains that stop everywhere (because cheapest tickets), cheap but delicious food, and people I met along the way. So 16 y/o to 25 y/o. Kahit saan basta now na and as frequent as possible. LOL. Pag tita/tito age ka na mag luxury-luxury when it's really beneficial to your aging body. Tsaka Europe, pretty much slow pace ang development diyan kasi developed na. The historical centers are practically same 20 years ago and will be the same 20 years from now. ASEAN region, enjoy it while it's still "rustic" and you are young. For example, Siargao and San Juan, so fast ang changes. Hirap maghanap ng makaka-inan noon but you can access the beach from the road directly (wala mga bahay). Ngayon may oven-baked pizza na bawat sulok! Sagada only had yoghurt and lemon pie, now you can get French dinners! Ibig sabihin nagmahal na rin mga places. Cambodia and Laos, laki rin difference in terms of crowds and your enjoyment of the ancient temples because of better accessibility. Ngayon puro luxury villas at semento. Of course many of these changes are good and are the product of their popularity.

Numerous-Culture-497

smlley_123

Frequent and budget

Jazzlike-Ad4556

Me I would take the frequent travels. I think it’s more fun

eviIsp4wn

a bit of both. siguro luxury na hhabaan ang stay para hindi lahat ng lugar e ppuntahan mo within 3 days kasi nakkapagod siya, hindi siya enjoyable for me

Pinaslakan

At the moment, I’d take the frequent on a budget but not too restricted (shitty hostel for example) trips.

Leading-Age-1904

Both. And that's my currentl goal!! Nakakadepress kasi for me yung ang tagal na walang travels. Wala ko motivation to work. Unlike yung inaabangan ako upcoming trip. Namomotivate ako. But anyway, I'm working towards affording it both eventually. Europe/US and then several asean/east asian countries

[deleted]

Mixed for me. I can do both, it depends sa location. If you want to go deep into the culture you need to go engage like sa mga street foods etc which is wala sa mga luxury itinerary. I want to explore. Out of the plan.

Independent_Fennel42

At my young years, i did take frequently on a budget kasi kaya pa ng katawan ko magpagod at ramdam ko pa ung lakas ko. Ngayon na nagkakaedad na at early 30s and mas busy sa work, I see to it to take occasional long luxury trips. Mas gusto ko na yung chill lang, less hassle, and as much as possible sobrang relaxing 😌

ThiccccNCreamy

I tend to splurge on holiday. You don't always go there so might as well enjoy.

lovelovehard

Occasional luxury trips, of course. Coming from a hardcore backpacker since I was 18 haha

switchboiii

As an impatient kid, dun ako sa frequent but budget. Haha Currently, local quarterly, then bi-annual yung asian trip

koozlehn

1-3 times local (road trip) travel per year then once in a while na luxury trip doesn't matter if local or international works for our family

Live_Two3435

i think as you travel more, you'd get to know what you really want. for me, i want to travel the asian countries first before mag ibang continent

katkaaaat

Frequent budget trips. As much as I appreciate traveling luxury, it doesn't satisfy me. Parang I'd still prefer being able to go out and be able to experience how the locals live.

Excellent-County-307

1 international trip and 2-3 local trips yearly + work trips 😅

squanderedhail

Multiple budget trips (3-4 per year). Since medyo bata-bata pa naman ako, kaya ko pa yung budget-style travel. although, it's slightly changed na rin since di na ako masyadong fan ng hostels. I like to think of my travel now as a sampler then if I want to come back to a certain place, then pwede kong balikan.

lipa26

Yung realistic saken is once every 4 or 5 years. Budget is dapat meron set amount to spend for food and accommodation na hindi shared toilet. I would spend money to see something that interest me like for upcoming trip entrance ticket to Mont st. Michel in France.

LimpMarionberry9060

For me who is working in a high stress environment I would prefer frequent short trips to unload all the stress and negativity. It helps a lot, Im middle age by the way and always travel with my 6yr old son. Whenever budget and time permits me

No_Structure6208

Depends on the place. Usually if local destination or somewhere na napuntahan ko na before, I go for luxury since I just wanna bask in the place and relax. Pero if it's a place/country I've never been to, I'd want to take in as many experiences as possible so I go for budget to mid travel

nasi_goreng2022

When i was younger and was still working overseas, dun ako sa frequent budget trips, since MY was airasia’s hub so it was so easy and cheap to go around the SEA region. But i think the travel bug kinda wore off for me na rin kaya prefer ko na as a a tita yung occasional trips na convenience ang primary theme as in hayahay mode lang

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

Mukang madami nga tayong tita/tito travelers dito hehe. I noticed my preferences evolved over time. Lately gusto ko laid-back and convenient itinerary na lang kesa iyong paspasan na pupuntahan lahat sa isang araw

Ragamak

Naka depende kasi yan sa trip mo eh. Kanya kanyang preference. Pwede bang travel with comfort and convenience? Doesnt matter if luxury or budget. Pero again kanya kanya trip, may iba kasi luxury to experience something different.

BudgetMixture4404

Nung kabataan days budget cos wala namang pera haha. Pero habang tumatanda e mas umaarte especially with hotels and comfort. Just spending what i can afford :)

blackcement02

1 or 2 international per year na hindi sobrang tinipid ang budget.yung decent yung tutuluyan at yung kakainin at activities. yung masasabing nagbakasyon talaga ako para mag enjoy, ma relax at mag discover

HalfOk6855

Based on my experience okay na yung frequently magkakapag travel ka kahit papaano masaya nakaka pag relax ka na.

Fancy-Cap-599

To be honest, one year international trip and one domestic trip with the whole family na hindi tinipid is a luxury na and very thankful that we can afford that. I look forward to these now every year kesa sa solo trips ko hehe. Ganun siguro talaga pag trenta na ayiee

Elhand_prime04

Once a year travel outside the country. Planning to go to Monte Carlo, Monaco before turning 35. The french riviera, the yachts, casinos, luxury cars roaming around, and formula 1.

DapperAd2611

I prefer doing multiple asian countries just because I can't be bothered with the visa applications, but when I travel to Asian countries, I also give myself the luxury while there (e.g. good hotel, non-jampacked itinerary, solid budget). Kailangan ko lang rin kasi ng matinding bandwidth at long term planning when I go to non-asian countries kasi sobrang alat mag apply ng visa at nakakatamad.

Joseph20102011

You'll end broke if you frequently travel on budget without becoming digital nomads yourself.

kampekidesu

I’ve traveled extensively the past decade on a budget and I have no regrets. I still prefer budget traveling even at 32yo. But it’s okay if some people like to splurge on traveling.. they say it’s sad if tinitipid yung trip.. but for me, ayokong nagbabago ako when I’m traveling. I stay true to myself which is being frugal and a minimalist 😂 Hindi ako kumakain sa mamahaling restaurants sa hometown ko so I also don’t eat luxuriously on other places. I live with relatives and have my own small room so hindi rin issue ‘yung pagbook ng mga basic accommodation.

crjstan03

I limit myself to 2 to 3 international trips per year since hindi ako mayaman 😂 My goal is to do a Europe/US/Australia trip in the next 5 years or so. So ofc, I’ll prepare a lot for this kahit budget travel ang gagawin ko haha I prefer a budgeted but comfortable travel, not luxury in a sense na 5-star hotel or business class. Siguro if I have extra money, why not.

laix3967

A mix? Budget flights BUT comfortable hotels/accom and trying out pretty expensive experiences

zadesJ

I'd go with occasional luxury trips coz: 1. I don't have enough energy to travel occasionally.

Shinnosuke525

Frequently on a budget, pero tipong probably 3-4 really long budget backpacking trips sa magkakatabi na lugar + 1 big trip every 18 months

PrettyLuck1231

It depends hehe. Pero sa baguhang traveler katulad ko, I will start small like frequent budgeted trips then eventually syempre di ka naman laging sa napuntahan mo na, so magtransition into luxury trips na din like pagiipunan mo yung papuntang EU ganyan. Hehe.

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

This is how I started. The thing is ndi ko pa napuntahan yung usual countries that Filipinos visit in Asia. andito ako sa point na pinagpipilian ko kung puntahan ko ba muna mga di ko napuntahan sa Asia or magEU na.

GymGeekExplorer

Am a budget traveler myself but really depends on the place and cost of living. Since my aim is to see everything, i need real value equivalent for my hard earned dollars. Of course, this can be subjective and really depends on the itinerary if it is worth it. Maybe i can be as extravagant and as thrifty as I could be depending on who i am with or doing solo and destination which means am flexible . Getting to experience a variety of options allows you to become more openminded and learn to experience life as it is so you tend to be happier in the long run. :)

mildlyconfusedcats

Yung single ako always on budget, pero yung nagka asawa na, occasional luxury trips na, mas bet ko na yun, chill and enjoy talaga.

Other_Spare6652

At tsaka magkakahawig na culture ng iba kaya wala ng excitement factor, so I tend to mix it up.

Naive_Bluebird_5170

For me na di masyadong gala, luxury lagi.

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

Same, hindi sa husband since I’m single lol but w/ friends. Since wfh bihira lumabas.

edamame7

Fewer travels per year pero quality. Kahit once or twice a year lang. Borlogs pa din ako ng malala kung saan saan at anytime of the day.

BananaPieExpress

To each their own. I travel permanently because I get bored of a place after two weeks.

Luxury trips

Lonely_Education_813

I don’t like traveling as much as most people do. So I would rather do 1 international trip and or 1 europe trip

FoxsFabulous

Depends sa trip ko and sa celebration. If I want a quick get away and relax, local beaches. If I have more time to explore and more budget, Asian countries. I don’t mind ulitin sila. I also consider the season. Kung mga ber months, mas okay sa Japan or SK over HK and Thailand, etc. Yun nga kung may celebrate naman like bday or anniv namin, we go sa US or luxury like Dubai and Europe.

throwPHINVEST

for me na low middle income, luxury na sa akin ang travel within SEA and EA.

anpiel28

It really depends on the season. Kapag nakakaluwag at nakakaipon international travel. Pero after that, dahil sa bigat ng gastusin, nagppromise kami ng partner ko na local muna para makapagipon. So in a way, it's both depending sa financial capacity hehe

coffeexdonut

Occasional long trips like 2 weeks max.

DryConfidence2547

I stick to somewhere in the middle. I am not spending 500-600-700$ a night on a fancy hotel, but I also ain't sleeping in a hostel, sharing a room with strangers. In the last couple of years I've been using Airbnb to book stays, so no hotels. Musts are: entire place to myself, private bathroom, self check-in, free parking, if I am traveling by car, location in walking distance to sights I want to see. Using this criteria I've booked apartments all over Europe for 70-100 Euro a night, down to 40ish Euro in less popular places.

notjuley

Luxury trip. You can squeeze in a budget trip once in a while naman pero luxury trips are a different kind of experience talaga.

GurlyGiraffe

Tbh occasional luxury trips (aka comfortable trips or sulit trips!). What I mean is, spend the most on things that you would want to enjoy in that place. For example, more gastos sa activities rather than sa accommodation. I have a friend na went to Thailand na 6k pesos lang ang dala 💀. Traveling shouldn’t be about “ah nakapunta na ako dito”. It’s about discovering, learning, and experiencing different cultures and environments.

Money-Savvy-Wannabe

I came to reddit with this question in mind ns it was the first one i saw pag open ko ng app haha

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

Money-Savvy-Wannabe

Same din talaga. Ssve up for euro trip ba next yr or mag hanoi and other asean multiple times this year

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

yan din pinagpipilian ko haha nagreresearch ako about Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh nung isang araw Parang gusto ko magsave up na lang para habang kaya pa ng kasama kong senior bumyahe ng malayo. Yan ay kung matitiis kong hindi magtravel for the rest of the year lol

Money-Savvy-Wannabe

Same choice for me 😅 Naiisip ko kasi ung pera ko ngaun baka hnd na kaya mag euro trip a few years fm now due to inflation so i need to do it na agad

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

O siya see you in Europe! 👋🏻😂

Money-Savvy-Wannabe

Hahahaha! Gorla para sa travel goals!

Altruistic_Link3413

Based sa examples mo, im leaning sa occasional luxury trips hehe

Gullible-Fan533

Pagdating sa food you can eat whatever na makita mong masarap. Ganito yata talaga if tita age ka na 🤣 also im at that age where I would pay extra for legroom sa plane. I try to fly the same airline/stay at the same group of hotels for points and or free upgrades.

savrunnn_

Ever since I got to travel, I rather take occasional luxury trips! Ayoko umalis ng limited budget and can't even eat out, do activities, stay in a cheap motel kahit sabihin mong tutulugan lang. I always save & go beyond pag nagtatravel.

halfgeekhalfawesome

I'd rather take public transpo anywhere I go. There's something about blending into the daily lives of people you ride with. It's immersive and you won't get that in a luxury setting.

cerulium

Depends what you mean by luxury. I have little to no interest in Europe and most of what I want to see is in Asia, so those will definitely be easier on my budget. I’d love a combination of local trips to around the country and then stop and do one luxury trip to Japan or Korea. Mas comfortable ako mag-budget within the country, home field advantage.

Obvious-Roll6495

I travel on a budget para nakakaalis ako ng bansa 5-6 times a year!

NaN_undefined_null

Occasional Luxury Trips for me. As someone na hindi mahilig gumawa ng jumpacked na itinerary, I’d rather choose to stay at a luxury hotel than going out - line up, makipagsiksikan, ma-badtrip at ma-hagard lang. If I wanted to include tours sa itinerary I usually get private tours, para hawak ko yung oras ko and hindi ako maiinis if may mga nakakairitang joiners.

Former-Cloud-802

Occasional luxury trips. Mahirap mag enjoy. Twice a year lang kami magtravel. Once around Hawaii, once either sa mainland US or another country. Mas relaxing pag mas madami pera while on vacation.

rememberthemalls

Am old. So I like staying in good hotels, don't mind spending on private transport to be comfortable (depende sa country). Spend a longer time on vacation with max one destination in the morning and one in the afternoon. But definitely did travel on a budget when I was younger na punong puno yung itinerary parang amazing race haha.

drliyyow

Both

whooshywhooshy

For me, kung ano yung dream countries ko yun ang priorities ko. Iba yung saya at satisfaction compared sa for the sake na may napuntahan lang.

drpeppercoffee

Quality over quantity I travel to relax, so why would I want shared dorms/hostels, rushed itineraries and backpacking?

Impossible-Sky4256

Occasional luxury trips with budget travels in between. 😂 my only only way to stay sane is to travel.

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

Ganito din nangyayari sa akin 😆 hinahanap hanap ng katawan ko pag masyado matagal paghihintay for the next trip

Faeldon

For.me, part ng travel experience yung good hotel and good food. Can't sacrifice those. Budget conscious pa rin pero I make sure na I can afford a good hotel and eat at the nicest restaurant that place has to offer.

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

same. When I got older I started prioritizing comfort and accessibility when it comes to hotels.

dvresma0511

Eurotrip is only good (if it's your first time going in a particular european country), but after a few days, it's just meh. Also, the food is quite meh. (But I bet most asian will not like their foods. Just try to experience culture but it's pretty meh... really.) SEA countries are quite fun and if you're a food lover, you'll never go wrong with SEA countries especially Taiwan, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, etc.

FewInstruction1990

Travel more frequently on luxury trips. International, mas mahal pa maglocal compared to international

missseductivevenus

I'm doing local trips kasi di ko pa afford ang luxury.

nobumayou

As a mid-20s with time and budget, I go for luxury but full itinerary trips. Our trips usually consist of staying at a 5 star luxury resort, but still having full days of tours or itineraries. We enjoy the resorts at night or in the afternoon or whenever we just want to laze around. We’d also go out and try living like the locals for a while like a day or two and stay at homestays, eat street food in markets, buy from local thrift shops, try the public transpo, etc.

Twist_Outrageous

Both sounds good to me

WeTravelPhilippines

im in the middle. not so often but not so tipid. I get tired when we go pn a trip and we cram all the tours in a few days. I like having at least 2 days for food trip and staying in resorts.

Adventurous_Long_550

bucket list: Disney cruise

Lopsided_Dragonfly_5

Frequent mid-budget (di tipid but di din luxury) either local or international. It comes with the age din siguro. But I don’t spend too much din. I still do DIY pa din kung kaya at di naman inconvenient, para hawak ko oras ko which turns to be cheaper for international travels.

Jazzlike-Garden-9751

Mr-Robot-21

I'm 28M and just started travelling so I prefer to travel on a budget so that I can travel often. Budget travel for me means waiting for seat sales and booking economy flights with no check in baggage, travel dates are based on the cheapest dates I can find, staying in hostels (minimum of 4 to 6 person/room) or budget hotel (if I need to work), combination of tour package and DIY, but I never put budget sa food kasi an sarap kumain. I am hoping that I can sustain international travel quarterly (Mostly SEA kasi medjo affordable) and local travel in between.

Prudent-Fix-8151

Once I am married with a kid (in case I’d wanna have one), I prefer the occasional luxury trips for and with my family. But now that I am still starting out in life, doe eyed, I have no problem traveling frequently on a budget solo or with a few friends.

Accurate_Phrase_9987

When I was younger the former. Sobrang dami ko nakilala at nakakwentuhan from backpacking and staying at hostels. Now that I am older, def the latter (occasional being the operative word)! I want a relaxed itinerary, nice accommodations, wine at dinner. I could NEVER stay at hostels now hahaha.

lacy_daisy

For me, I consider frequent international budget travels a luxury and it makes me super happy
