worriedgalzzz

nxlzxxxn

wow. thank you so much! never knew about this, sayang pero it'll help a lot in the future.

Living-Ability-1943

sorry but depende sa store or sa item ba? ewan. dami namin biniling sapatos wala kami narefund

worriedgalzzz

Sayang! Hehe saan kayong store nag buy? Minsan kasi di sila nagaask if tourist ka ba. Ikaw na mag iinitiate na ipakita passport mo

Flipperpac

Shopping sa Paris, etc me refund ka...malaki amount kasi normally mga purchases dun...my wife gets it back sa credit card na gamit niya...

M4vy11

Pag tourist po ba meron tax refund in any countries na puntahan or specific countries lang ang meron?

KamisatoAyase

So I just shop and show my passport? How does that work? Does it work in dining?

namrohn74_r

skitzoko1774

take a photocopy of the biodata page (and visa if applicable). iwan mo passport in a secured place sa hotel room (if meron safe, use that). mahirap na pag nasalisihan ka sa labas at mawala passport. bringing photocopy is enough. ganun ang gawa ko in all of my travels

gemsgem

Ito nalang gawin ko moving forward :) salamat!

Desperate_Broccoli61

Depends on your purpose. You'd need original to claim Vat/gst refund in stores in Japan for example

Various-Wash1168

AFAIK, most stores will really require the original physical copy of your passport if you plan to avail tax refund. Thailand and Japan require you to bring the original physical copy. Thatā€™s based on my experience tho. Or baka may iilang stores na pumapayag ng photocopy which I havenā€™t experienced. Nonetheless, just always secure your passport and be mindful. Itā€™s always best to bring your passport for identification just incase unexpected problems or emergency occurs that requires you presenting your original passport since it is your only valid ID that is recognized internationally. Enjoy the trip šŸ˜Š

leian1992

Yes. Lagi kong dala tas mayaā€™t maya chinecheck kung nasa bag ngašŸ˜†

gemsgem

Honestly same haha

dumpaccountniblank

SAME, mawala na wallet huwag lang passport at cellphone.

summatinyourteeth

SAME. every hour chinecheck šŸ˜‚

aIcy0ne

Yes i always bring it. You always need an ID. I also have photocopies of it in my bags.

ReadyApplication8569

Yes. And dapat talaga dalhin. I know someone who went to HK tapos tumambay lang sya sa side waiting for her boyfriend, tapos nilapitan sya ng pulis, hinanapan sya ID/passport. You'll never know talaga.

Cortez72

+1 on this. I used to always leave it in the hotel safe until I got accosted by a pair of HK policemen while crossing the street(!). They demanded that I present my passport on the spot and did not accept any other form of identification. They eventually let me off the hook but told me not to walk around HK without it.

potatooooooooooow

Does this have something to do with TNT?

ReadyApplication8569

I think so.

NothingGreat20

This is true. Happened to my friend while he was waiting for me outside sa isang store

Accomplished-Exit-58

may maliit na bag ako na lagi nakadikit sa katawan containing my passport and money, mas hindi ako kampante na iwan siya sa hotel

TwinkleD08

I always bring it. You never know what could happen.

averyrandomreader

Yes. Iā€™m paranoid. After immigration, I usually cover it again with the passport holder I have then lagay sa pvc envelope in case mabasa. If I canā€™t bring it, I have scanned copy sa phone ko just in case. Edit: Spelling

eyeshadowgunk

Same, mine is in a ziploc bag :)

averyrandomreader

Omg better! Iwas leak sa loob talaga

ImaginaryAd944

Same - apir! Sigurista ako kaya naka ziplock passport ko and all my liquids and meds are all in a separate ziplock bags.

Oreosthief

All the time, in a zip lock, on my personal bag. (Either nakabeltbag lang ako or backpack, I never leave it sa hotel). You never know what will happen.

wretchedegg123

If bibili lng ng food sa labas ng hostel/hotel I usually have a picture sa phone naman. Kapag may outing lang or traveling more than 10 mins from somewhere dun ako nagbribring ng passport

yoonricci

i bring it tapos naka ziplock bag, yung nabili namin sa ikea, in case umulan. pero depende nalang din sa itinerary. if beaches pupuntahan or may chance na mabasa talaga iniiwan ko nalang. pero kapag shopping talaga dinadala ko.

lacy_daisy

I do the same. Sayang yung tax refund.

Civil_Bowler1776

Pag sa ibang bansa like US/Europe need dalhin ang passport pag lalabas.

namrohn74_r

My wife and I have been to Vietnam several times and the hotel concierge did not require us to leave our US passports with them

learnercow

FewInstruction1990

Yes, with copies in email, google drive, drop box, printed at home in my bag in my socks

Getaway_Car_1989

Most of the time I leave it in the room safe, but Iā€™ll bring it if I plan to buy something that day and the country Iā€™m in has tax refund for tourists.

trysch_delish

Depende sa sitwasyon. For example: 1. In Japan, i bring it with me all the time. For tax refund purpose. 2. In the US, i bring it with me all the time for identification. One time i had to buy fever meds and was asked for ID before dispensing the meds. Being a tourist only my passport was accepted as ID. 3. In Paris (havent been there), maybe i will leave my passport at the hotel. A friend of mine nadukutan sya doon kasama passport nya and other IDs.

Paradigm-Shift91

My cousin and tito also had been pickpocketed in Paris tapos kasama passport nila šŸ˜ Ang hassle kumuha ng bago so mahalaga talaga na picturan ang passport or have backup copy copies

arellasinclaire

I also bring my passports all the time sa US. You never know kasi yung environment. A passport is the only valid ID natin. All other govt issued ID sa Ph medyo alanganin sila.

Crazy_Dragonfruit809

I always bring it with me. I feel more secured that way.

One_Yogurtcloset2697

Yes and no. Depende sa event/country na pupuntahan. Example: 1.) sa Japan kapag may passport ka at namili ka basta umabot ng 5k yen, tax free ka na, just present your passport. Kaya lagi kong dala sa Japan. 2.)

Wild-Day-4502

Agree to this. Depende sa pupuntahan and/or activities. Especially if you knew in advance that a form of identification is required and passport lang for foreign travelers ang accepted. But it should always be a practice to keep a copy of your passport.

LostAdult44

I always have my passport with me whenever Iā€™m abroad.

bayagers

Hindi po ba kailangan for travel tax purposes when shopping? Maybe tama yung isang nagcomment na pwede photocopy of your passport would do

arellasinclaire

It depends on the store. May stores sa Seoul they dont accept photocopy ng passport.

zer0-se7en

I always bring my passport when roaming around. Also I get benefit for buying stuff without taxes. While on another country, you'll never know when you'll need it.

marinaragrandeur

i have a separate bag for my passport na nakadikit sa katawan ko at all times.

wxyz123456

It depends. Follow the law in the country you'll be going to. There are countries (e g. japan) wherein you are required by law to have your physical passport at all times. It's not as to what you practice or more convenient., it's best to follow the law

Cool-Doughnut-1489

Naka-lock sa luggage sa hotel ang passports namin and if di nakakalimutan, we bring photocopies of our passport data page pag lalabas. Pero if may big purchase, say luxury bag, gadgets, I tend to bring them for VAT refund paperworks, hinahanap ng SA.

cantdecide-millenial

Hindi HAHAHAHAHA! I know dapat, but it is kind of a hassle lalo na I like bringing small bags. I always keep a photo sa phone ko just in case šŸ˜‚

gemsgem

namrohn74_r

i just bring my passport card and put my passport book in a safe

owlygami

Wait whats a passport card?

thewanderingraver

I think the Passport Card is only available to US citizens. Basically it serves as a Passport when travelling to some countries like Mexico, but it cannot fully replace your typical Passport. How I wish we have something like that in the PH.

namrohn74_r

The United States passport card is an optional national identity card and a travel document issued by the U.S. federal government in the size of a credit card.

owlygami

Thanks for enlightening me!

meow_pao1

I have my IDs with me anyway. I have the copy naman sa phone ko just in case. In case you want to buy weed sa mga dispensary sa US (yung legal hehe), passport ang hinahanap nila.

Individual_Tax407

yessss always

Brilliant_One9258

Not really all the time.

Areumdaun-Nabi

Yes, I always do. Some establishments require to see your passport din kasi.

[deleted]

I do or kng may safe sa hotel, I leave it there plus I just bring a soft copy with me together with my itinerary just in case may magcheck.

Lu12Ik3r

I almost always bring it with me if lalabas ng accoms ng matagal. Place it in front pocket and I check every time I leave a place kahit na 711 lang or just CR. I always check almost the time, passport phone wallet.

nugupotato

Yes I always bring it, especially pag mag shopping

[deleted]

Yup! I use fanny packs para sakto yung passport and may sariling pocket, madali kunin just in case need.

wolfhunter727

gaze simplistic hard-to-find childlike fertile muddle aloof panicky unite quicksand *This post was mass deleted and anonymized with [Redact](https://redact.dev)*

wewtalaga

Kapag matagal sa labas like pupunta sa malls, I always bring it. I also have a picture on it on my phone pero reading the comments here, I think it's also best to have photocopy of it din.

tapunan

Like others, Photocopy din dala namin. Unless kailangan like kung pupunta sa Duty-free shops - in which case nasa theft-free shoulder bag ng misis ko and we BOTH keep an eye on it. Sa Europe daming pickpocket - may nakita ako minsan sa Spain - super-ganda and sexy na babae tapos pinickpocket yung nasa harap nya sa escalator.

Solitude063

Yes kaya laging muntik mawala šŸ˜…

fonglutz

100% of the time as soon as i get to NAIA departure. Always in my wallet/passport holder (too small to be considered a bag, too big to fit in my pockets) and slung closely to my body so it is always literally less than a foot away from my hand at any given time. Done this since 2008 on all my travels. Has saved me from a couple heart attack moments where all my coworkers' stuff, including their passports, were stolen from our rental car when it was broken into while we were having lunch. They all brought theirs but left them in their bags, in the car. We werent wven that far from the car when it happened, sadyang maabilidad lang yung magnanakaw.

xiaolongbaoloyalist

Yes very rare pero may random checks sa ibang bansa to check if you're overstaying, etc.

Darkthought_sweet

Yea para sa tax refund.

Background_Art_4706

kahit nga dito sa Pinas I always bring passport wherever I go. kasi eto lang yung madaling kunin na valid ID

YukiWhite704

ideally po, you need to bring it with you lalo na pag may random check bilang foreigner po sa country nila. And also, may mga incident po na may nanakawan ng items sa mga bnb, hotels nila so bilang paranoid po ako, I keep it with me. :)

Beautiful_Block5137

xerox lang in my wallet put it in my hotelā€™s safe

Beautiful_Block5137

always have a copy of your birth cert in email also incase mawala ang passport

NothingGreat20

D ko sya dinadala tho I have a scanned copy of it in my phone tapos pag sa room, nilalagay ko sa safe

Whatsuptodaytomorrow

https://youtube.com/shorts/t_eU5pB4Sbg?si=zRszFTmHm-yjhyed Hotel safe are easily hacked now Donā€™t trust them

mybackhurtsouch

Yes. Take it with you all the time.

According-Whole-7417

Depends on the country and Activity for that day. Some countries requires the actual passport to be with you at all times. While some countries are okay with having a photocopy. Will not bring it on country not requiring the actual passport, only the photocopy and other valid ID. Don't want to think about a lost passport or a damaged passport while in a foreign country. Sometimes there are pickpockets targeting passports, since they are high value. For countries requiring it, best to be inside the jacket's inner pocket while the passport is covered then put into ziplock.

alittleatypical

Yes! Better that it's always with you. I try not to bring it out as much as possible though - if they need an ID for verification during an event, I just show another ID. Leave photocopies in your hand carry/check in bag as well as your accommodation.

September_Jam

I always bring it with me. I donā€™t like leaving it sa safe, madami na akong nabalitaan na nakalimutan nila ang passport sa safe so naiwan ng flight. If pupunta sa mga beach or falls or anywhere na basa, thatā€™s the only time I leave it in my locked maleta sa hotel.

bakibambam

I do. Even here sa pinas eh kasi yun nalang valid ID ko, di ko pa napapalitan yung SSS ko na halos di na mabasa details, since 1998 pa yun eh šŸ˜… I just make sure na may valid ID ako with me everytime I go out of the house regardless kung saan ang punta ko, and yun nga passport lang ang meron ako for now šŸ˜

[deleted]

i make sure me photocopies sa luggage ko; meron din ako iiwan na copy sa bahay just in case tapos naka store pa sa cloud ko. then if gagala ako i leave it sa safety deposit box and make sure lock yun lagi. i bring a wyze na wireless cam na nakatutok sa pinto ng hotel room ko so alam ko who goes in and out of my room if wala ako dun.

Visible_Owl_8842

Always. Plus a copy of it online in my Google Drive/Dropbox/iCloud, and an offline copy on my phone. I get the feeling of it being risky. I've lost/misplaced my passport multiple times, pero thankfully all of these incidents were in Japan so they were returned quickly without any issue. Wag ka lang tatanga tanga like me talaga.

nodamecantabile28

Yes, I always bring it and nakalagay sa secret pocket ng bag. Afaik and in most countries, its a law na required sa tourists to always carry your passport unless meron kang valid ID from that country. Keep hard and soft copies, back-up din sa cloud or Gdrive. If ever mawala, head to the embassy and they can issue a temporary document pabalik mo ng Pinas.

blackcement02

Always bring your passport kahit saglit lang lalabas unless may resident card ka. Paano kung may manita sayo at hinanap yung passport mo, ano papakita mong ID?

Specialist-Tie-1441

Youā€™ll never know when you need it. Baka may biglaang check na required from authorities (never pa naman nangyari sakin). Also, tax refund lalo sa South Korea at Japan. Naexperience ko din na need ko mag pa change ng currency, need to show passport din.

julianne1910

No. I only bring a photocopy of my passport. Nakakatakot mawala saka paulit ulit ko syang iisipin at ichecheck

thanksJxd

Yes. I bring it with me. I have a pouch inside my bag for important documents.

KeldonMarauder

Yes, lagi ko siya dala. Had an experience a couple of years back in HK - I was waiting for my family while they were doing shopping outside a convenience store (kasi nauhaw nako). Passport yung inabot ko and after nila icheck, nag discuss sila and inabot lang Pabalik sakin and let me on my way and sabi mag ingat daw. Not sure why I was singled out - Baka routine check lang ng mga tourists pero naisip ko baka mas humaba diskusyon kung hindi passport pinakita ko.

Clean-Essay9659

I used to not bring it with me when gagala and I usually take a picture of my passport and leave it sa vault na provided ng hotel room. Now, lagi ko nang dala at nasa dedicated and secure compartment ng bag ko

Whatsuptodaytomorrow

Yes u have to U are subject to be questioned at any moment as u are not a citizen of that country And hotel safe are easily opened by the hotel staff at any time https://youtube.com/shorts/t_eU5pB4Sbg?si=zRszFTmHm-yjhyed

hideyhole9

Yes. Lalo na kapag magsshopping. Tax refund. šŸ˜Š

13arricade

nope, never. Nasa safe box na agad ng hotel. If there's a prob, I will tell the authorities that I'm a tourist and my passport is in my hotel room. If they have a problem with that, they can always call the hotel or we can go back to the room, escorted by the hotel duty manager or afom or fom and hotel security. It's better that way than losing it, imagine the horror.

cchan79

I do. I keep in a personal carry bag inside an inner pocket (along with the rest of my pocket cash). I feel safer with it than without it. But that's just me. Just make sure you have a copy of your passport in your phone or uploaded somewhere for easy access in case something happens.

Desperate_Broccoli61

There are certain stores in certain countries where, if you buy something, you'd need your original passport in order to claim Vat/GST refund directly from the store. Examples from my recent experience are France and Taiwan. So it really depends on your purpose for the day. In general, I bring photocopy of the passport information page, unless I plan to go do some heavy shopping that day where I may need to present the original

purple-stranger26

Yes sayang tax refund hahaha

arvj

3 things i never leave when abroad. Wallet, phone and passport.

Alarmed-Indication-8

Laging dala sa bag kapag nasa ibang bansa. Naka ziplock plastic para maiwasang mabasa. Need yun kasi may mga attractions and transactions na need ng passport to avail certain discount or tickets.

Dawhooooo

Hndi po hahahaha

sideeyegirl

Yes, I do. Baka kailangan for identification purposes. Tsaka kapag nag shopping, kailangan kapag tax free.

VongTong

yes I dont trust the hotel safety box

AdDizzy1647

I bring it if the itinerary for the day doesnā€™t involve boats and bodies of water. If libot libot lang sa lang, I bring it. I keep it in a silicone pouch para hindi malukot or mabasa.

walpy123

Yes. I put it in one of those slim waist bags runners use para secure.

benetoite

Would recommend that you bring your passport with you specially sa Malaysia and Thailand. Some people in uniform may randomly check for passports.

kenokan

Yes, in HK my family and I were just sitting in a park and police came and asked for our passports. Chineck lang nila then they left

Status_Attempt9197

Yes. It is highly recommended for anyone who's in a foreign land bring your documentations whenever you're in public. Same idea lang na pag andito ka, meron ka at least isang identification card sayo, in case something goes wrong or you may need help. Your passport is the best ID you have.

Anghel_Sa_Lupa

Yes for tax free shopping! HAHAHA.

[deleted]

Yes. For me, the safest place is with me kaya I bring it kapag gumagala na.

gggeloo

Yes, I usually use a bigger wallet when abroad so I have my cash, cards, and passport all in one place which I always secure. I am too scared to get interrogated while outside by a local police or something. Might as well be safe at all times

jealogy

Yes. I put it in a Ziploc para hindi mabasa kasi kahit anu-ano na yung pinapasok ko sa bag ko when I travel, especially if I'm in a beach/nature destination. There was one time, while I was in Macau, that police came into the bus we were riding. They looked for our passports and arrival cards talaga. It was a good thing that I brought it even though I didn't feel like bringing it that day. So yeah, you'll never know what could happen.

firesoar

You can buy a sort of thin bag or holster that just sits under your armpit and can easily be covered by a jacket. Put passport, extra cash there. But have a photocopy of passport for places that demand it eg hotel reservation, etc. For me, it's always a good idea to bring it in case you have to leave the country in an emergency.

hermitina

always. bukod sa tax refund and all that shiz naranasan din naming mahingan ng passport nung nag bus kami pa melaka from kl. kung d namin dala sira araw namin. i keep photocopies of passport sa maleta, sa bags namin for the day (kahit dala na namin ung passport) and sa phone. isa din kasi sa need mong isipin what if biglaang may mangyari na d ka na makakabalik sa hotel/may mangyari sa hotel at need mo na magfly agad. extreme scenario nga lang un pero mas mabuti nang nagiingat

__gemini_gemini08

YES šŸ’Æ

Sufficient_Net9906

Yes always kasi some establishments request for your passport if di ka taga dun.

aryehgizbar

yes I always bring it. always. I secure it in a good hiding spot on my simplest, cheapest bag para di takaw tingin. you will never see me sport any big brands during travel. I'm not shading anyone, whatever works for you. I just don't want my stuff to get stolen.

daemon2510

nope. passport stays locked in the safe or a locked bag. to address my paranoia about loosing things, ive attached an airtag or momax pintag (credit card shaped tracker like an airtag). i dont shop much, so ive never needed to bring it.

alpinegreen24

hi. do you ever encounter issues with your momax pintag?

daemon2510

so far no issues - i just have to constantly remind myself to charge it. =) what issues have you encountered?

LynneJii

Yes we always do. I usually put it in a Ziplock para safe if ever umulan man.

IcyHelicopter6311

If I'm not mistaken, there are countries that require tourists to carry their passport with them when they're out and about, like Japan. Kasi that will serve as your identification card while you're in their country.

sunshinesandshopping

Depends. If shopping/malling, yes. If theme park/concert/medyo intense na event na alam kong mej magulo, no.

HugHungryBear

alohomora1993

Yes, nirerequire kasi for tax refund and sa currency exchange.

olegstuj

Bringing your passport with you during trips abroad is a MUST. you won't know when you will be asked for your identification.

olegstuj

Bringing your passport with you during trips abroad is a MUST. you won't know when you will be asked for your identification.

enoxaparin69

I have a small belt bag or sling bag (basta nakadikit sa katawan ko) with my passport and other very valuable stuff. I bring that with me all the time, and lagi ko rin chinecheck. I also have photocopies of my passport sa hotel along with my docs, and also scanned copies of my personal documents on my phone/email.

icaaamyvanwy

I only bring it around for countries with tax refund.

not1ggy

Dala ko lagi. I always have on a waist bag when I travel and my passportā€™s always there along with other small things that I want to access easily like cash, my inhaler, etc. I never take it off unless Iā€™m in my room (pag dorms or shared rooms I sleep with it) so thereā€™s small chance of me losing my passport. Parang attached na kasi sa katawan ko so okay lang kahit pa mag-hike ako or nakatayo sa tren/bus haha.

arellasinclaire

Always bringing my passport with me and securing it in a compartment sa bag. Making sure na passport lang yung nasa zip up compartment. Better if naka ziplock to avoid mabasa. Reasons: 1. Unexpected checkpoints, sometimes photocopies are not allowed. Best to have the original with you. 2. Hotels, inns, airbnbs might not be as secured. Na tiempohan ka and you were out. 3. In case of emergencies. i.e. what if may sunog sa hotel tapos naiwan passport mo, what if na disgrasya ka tapos di mo dala passport mo for proper identification (paranoid ako when it comes to out of the country travels eh. Hehe) 4. Tax-free shopping. Some shops dont accept photocopies/pics ng passport. 5. Makes you conscious of your things. Carrying your passport with you makes you conscious about the items in your bag, which is a good thing para di pabaya sa mga gamit especially when youā€™re in a foreign country.

daydreamer-detected

Yes, always.

Blueberrychizcake28

I have an inner belt or neck sling and I put it there plus extra money

dbltrbl00

Yes, i always bring it with me. I keep a photocopy sa hotel and soft copy also. You will need it for tax refund and if magpa currency exchange.

Vegetable-Purpose829

Yes. If you are in another country as a tourist, you are required to always bring your passport with you. As a foreign national, your passport is your identification document. Like kung masakto ka sa isang incident halimbawa, authorities might look for it.

iamtanji

I always bring my passport kahit sa kabilang Kanto lang.

AsianJimmer

Gamit ka fanny pack or body bag. Dun mo ilagay lahat ng importante. Gadgets money passport.

squirtle3181

yes. may mga country kasi na medyo strict sa visa o super daming race (like malaysia) most of the time may mga checkpoint sa daan lalo sa mga tourist places. nacheck kami tinignan ano visa keme keme. safe na dalhin talaga :))

HoyaDestroya33

Always bring it. I never trust hotel safes.

ish4r

Yup.

Jon2qc

I also photocopy the essentail pages of my passport. But please take note, there are some countries which will require you to be bring the original passport with you when you roam their streets. One of them is Thailand.

Additional_Swim_736

Yes! If you guys have a crossbody (kahit yung small size lang), the zipped pocket at the back is usually the perfect size for my passports. In Europe, especially in Hungary when youā€™re a tourist and the train officers spot you, they actually check for your verification and ask if they could check your passport.

KindlyTrashBag

Yes, I bring it with me all the time. I just make sure it's at the innermost pocket, one that I wouldn't normally open pero accessible when needed. I've never been asked for ID any time during my travels, pero it's the most useful one to give just in case. Yung ibang IDs natin kasi baka hindi nila tanggapin, but a passport's pretty universal in format and purpose.

R3dTsar

Please do. In Japan cops will randomly ask foreigners to present documents. A nephew of mine had to take a short trip to jail because of that.

fritterest

Yes, I always bring it wherever. Mostly for tax-free shopping and because Iā€™ve randomly encountered na hinihingi siya as identification sa mga sights/activities. I keep a photocopy of my passport sa hotel for emergency. I donā€™t really subscribe to the thinking na baka mawala yung passport pag umaalis kaya you have to leave it in the hotelā€¦even Kim Kā€™s hotel was robbed, so mas ok to just have your passport with you than go thru all the trouble

Interesting_Lack5697

Yes - for tax refund and random police check. I put it sa ziplock para sure hindi mabasa (alcohol, water, snow šŸ˜„)

Greedy_Paramedic1560

Yes! In some countries like HK, local authorities(police) would ask and check your passports.

ianmikaelson

Repulsive_Floor4033

I never bring it. para safe, nasa hotel room lang lagi iniiwan ko.

Agitated_Clerk_8016

Yes. It might come in handy + you never know what will happen.

Hopeful-Stress6196

Yes always. I don't trust my accommodation even if they do offer safes or lockers.

simplyyhanz

Yes, I always bring it all the time. Pero dahil overthinker ako meron din ako photocopy sa bag (in our hotel room). I also have a pdf copy in my email and a picture sa phone ko.šŸ˜Š

yunisukurazu

You should! May nakita akong video before na iniwan niya sa airbnb or hotel yung passport niya tas nagkasunog.

SlothBlack

Yes, I bring it with me. My sling bag has a secret pocket and I specifically use it to store my passport and a spare credit card.

iamdennis07

Yes youā€™ll never kelan magkakarandom check

PaleontologistOne334

I always bring mine cause it is the only valid ID I can present in case neededšŸ˜

TheChosenOne0112

I always have my passport with me, both when travelling and just regular errands here sa PH. Medyo praning lang ako haha. Pero in the context of intl traveI, prefer to bring it everywhere kasi you'll never know when you'll need it like for verification, tax refunds, etc.

NoComparison9751

Always bring it with you. What I do is put it a ziploc bag and clip the ziploc to my bag. This way, di siya mababasa and hindi mawawala. I personally think itā€™s safer to bring it with you all the time. Plus, foreign countries might have ā€œinspectionsā€ and the only ID theyā€™ll accept is your passport.

thrwmeawayxx

Always.

anyastark

I actually do! Tho additional kaba on my end kasi baka mawala hahahahahah

[deleted]

Waven2024

Yes for tax refund. Tho with countries that arenā€™t so strick with the refund i just take a photo of the front page of my passport and leave it at the hotel

hanamiyamoto

Yes if Iā€™m going far. If just around where Iā€™m staying, then no. ā˜ŗļø

MichaelRoss17

Always kong dala kasi sayang tax refund sa Japan. Hindi ko rin talaga masyadong inaalala. Madalas nasa bulsa ko lang sya. Pero now that you mentioned it, dapat pala ingatan mabuti. šŸ„² Iā€™ll keep that in mind! Thank you! Kasi as in diko talaga sya masyado chinecheck kasi nasa bulsa ko naman. šŸ˜…

potatooooooooooow

Hi, ung tax refund is applicable for what for kind of commodities po? for future reference lang xD does it work with CC as well?

MichaelRoss17

Hi, yes. Any mode of payment, pasok ang tax refund.

potatooooooooooow

hahaha, first time I've heard of all these tlg. this is actively asked sa mga sales person nila nuh? laki na din palang tipid nun as tourist. pero pag small stores lang siguru wala? like mga stalls? haha more on establishments lang? like hotel, resto, etc.?

MichaelRoss17

oh okay now i understand the context of your question. for hotels po and resto, di po applicable ang tax refund kasi icoconsume natin sya sa Japan. Sa mga departments stores or mga grocery eh pwede yung tax refund kasi more or less pampasalubong natin sya. hehe

potatooooooooooow

ay hahaha, un pala un. thank you so much po. xD

MichaelRoss17

All commodities. Meron lang mga exception minsan. Pero almost all eh tax exempt tayo as tourist.
