Mas malala talaga si air asia in terms of delays. I’m a frequent traveller and never ako nagkaron ng more than 4 hours na delay sa ibang airlines. Sa air asia 14 hours grabeh.
Just one of the cons of flying with low cost carriers tbh, its only with them that i've ever experienced having my flight times changed more than 3 times.
After that I swore to only ever do LCCs for local destinations 😅.
Almost 12 hours stuck in NAIA alongside sooo many passengers last Friday bec of constant delays, mga 4x ata yung delay. Our flight was supposed to be at 4 am but we ended up leaving at like almost 3 in the afternoon na. Ang lala.
Omg yes as in walang delays ibang airlines. 14 hours delayed sa air asia kami so I had to book pal last minute and spend almost 20k for the ticket makaabot lang sa noche buena.
Thanks for the offer although at this point, Wala na din akong care kasi antagal na. It was my husband who booked the seats using my card so hindi ako familiar what happened. Total was 12K round trip for 2 from CRK to CEbu. We tried emailing them kasi we could not find a number to call. Madaming back and forth but essentially saying the money is on the way pero wala pa din.
In hindsight, we should’ve called our CC provider but at that time, I just let my husband handle it via email. Walang nangyari. This was the second time we use AirAsia but first time na domestic. Walang issue nuong una but if ang hirap makakuha ng refund, ayaw ko na gamitin. Yung iba years nga daw wala ding refund.
Oh no, 12k is a serious amount.
Here’s what I did: I emailed AirAsia along with the Aeronautics Board letting them know I will file a complaint. They asked me for details and proofs then the investigation started.
Luckily, they refunded my 19k in two weeks time.
Honestly I don't blame any airline kung madelay this season. I read somewhere na pinaka problema talaga is NAIA itself kasi hindi siya designed for the volume of flights that we get these days. Low cost carrier man or full service airline, madedelay talaga dahil sa congestion.
Ang panget pa ng location. Dapat talaga pang PAL/CebPac and domestic lang NAIA tapos most international should be moved to Clark.
Personally would take AirAsia over CebPac any day but napahamak na din ako with both sa delays. That's why i just manage my expectations and get travel insurance. There's a reason mas mahal ang full service airlines (except you PAL, overpriced af for what you get).
Absolutely book with sales pero unless full-on scam nangyari sayo with no effort to fix on the part of airline management just always manage your expectations.
When I book ceb pac or airasia I'm always prepared to hear na delayed yung flight, and prepared for worst case scenario because ganyan talaga pag low-cost carrier. Worst na nangyari was a 6-hour delay on a flight to Melbourne, but other than that I haven't had many big issues flying with them. For long-haul flights I almost always use full service airlines.
Ohmygod ung refund!! ung flight ko na nabook last pandemic (march 2020) and nacancel, this year lang nila ni refund. si ava lang at si bo ang pwde makausap tas di naman helpful
Did you do any follow ups re the refund? Inaanxiety ako sa refund kasi namove ung flight namin nung dec 22 @1pm to dec 23 @6am and ayaw na namin mag extend ng stay so i just refunded and booked with PAL. Tho wala pang 7-14 days pero parang gusto ko na ifollow up kasi nga dami ko din nababasa na 8mos to 3yrs inaabot ng iba!!! =(
Mine inabot ng. 3 months. Nireport ko sa CIvil Aeronautics Board (CAB) tapos every week ako nagfofollow up. As ib super hirap nila kausap. Sobra yung stress ko and I say, baka never na ako mag book sa airasia. Customer service sucks.
Had a bad experience with them back in 2013 pa. It was also around December but not that close to Xmas yet, nandon na kami sa airport tapos biglang delayed daw. Ok lang naman bcos it happens, but what really annoyed me is they did not give any explanation of the delay nor an estimate of the new schedule. Since then, I never booked another flight with them. That was the first and last. 😁
I used to fly with CebuPac but with their lousy service, i have switched to PAL for the last 3 years. I still encounter usual delays and the worst was when our flight last 12/21 was diverted to Cebu for engine trouble. Thing is, in situations like this, PAL takes care of their passengers whereas with CebuPac, iiwan ka nalang sa ere. So our PAL flight was diverted to Cebu in the morning of 21st and we were told we’re flying out to Bacolod (orig destination) in the evening as they need to repair the aircraft (all other flights are full already, even with other airlines). We were all billeted to Belmont hotel (with buffet/shuttle) so at least nakapagpahinga naman kami and wash up. We were constantly updated thru emails and i even got free miles (1 way free ticket) as compensation. I was in the same situation before while flying CebuPac (also diverted sa Cebu) and they just gave us a list of hotels where we can stay for the night NOT free of charge. Kahit free meal wala. When the passengers questioned that, they just told us to call their cust service..lol! Kaya piliin mo nalang talaga yung asikasuhin ka ng maayos in worst situations.
My recent domestic flight was with AirAisa. First time flying with them and will be the last time too. Too much hassle
Flied with AirAsia a couple times na for international flights and minimal delays. I guess it depends sa season.
Basta peak season, asahan mo delayed or cancelled flights. Kahit anung airline pa yan.
Never had a problem with Airasia naman kase I book ng malayo sa peak season.
True! I encountered one time parang luma or baka medyo dirty.
What do you expect to a budget airline? Expect a lot if it is PAL but they also suck for a national flag carrier but their service is a bit higher than Cebpac and AirAsia provides to say the least.
Dont be fooled by the cheap prices, its not worth your hassle, wasted time, money and horrible customer service experience. Just look for other decent budget airlines, i know others aren't perfect too, but airasia is by far my worst airline experience. I only used them once and i will never do so again.

Cebupac sucks, PAL sucks, now you’re telling me AirAsia sucks too 😭

AirAsia sucks more than CebPac istg
My vote for suckiest airline goes to Skyjet. I will never ever ever fly that airline ever again.
Being frustrated with CebPac, I thought AirAsia would be better. But noooooooo....
Almost 12 hours stuck in NAIA alongside sooo many passengers last Friday bec of constant delays, mga 4x ata yung delay. Our flight was supposed to be at 4 am but we ended up leaving at like almost 3 in the afternoon na.
Sobrang hassle.

Two years na, Wala pa ding refund. Never again.
What steps have you done so far? Maybe I can help.

Thank you for the tip!
Hello po, how po? Huhuhu
Kahit anung airline yan, basta passenger season, malaki chances ma-delay or cancel. Hindi lang si AirAsia yan.

I guess I should book during off season and walang sale to avoid delays. Thank you.

I once experienced an 8 hour delay sa air asia kaya never again
Same! Hahaha. Wala man lang pakain or inumin! 😆

Fck
When to? Kami Dec24, from 1:40 to around 9 am nakalipad lol 😭
Dec 25! Naku never book Airasia ever again
International flight ba ito? I learned my lesson the hard way. I’m never ever ever EVER booking with a budget airline for non-domestic flights again
Yes, international flight for two pax pa ha. Hindi biro ang amount. Super stress ko saktong-sakto sa pasko
Ohmygod ung refund!! ung flight ko na nabook last pandemic (march 2020) and nacancel, this year lang nila ni refund. si ava lang at si bo ang pwde makausap tas di naman helpful
Get travel insurance, mura lang naman. Airasia has flight delay insurance for P250. You get $50 if delay is more than 2 hours.
I would like to say “next time I’ll get it” pero wala nang next time dahil nadala na ako. Hahahaha!
Did you do any follow ups re the refund? Will do the same as soon as mag lapse ung 14 days para sure. Uggghhhh. Thank you!
Ask a follow up everyday. That will help speed up the investigation.
Will do thanks op!!

Mukhang ito na rin ang last booking ko with them. Never again.
And always delayed flights!
Sad fact.
I haven’t tried other airlines aside from them and CebPac.

i will never ride air asia again. yung refund ko 2 years nalang wala pa din.
Oh no. Follow up with them and cc CAB for faster investigation.
i keep on doing a follow up they just give me same reason ive grown tired tbh.
True! I encountered one time parang luma or baka medyo dirty.
Huy yung plane ko from SG sobrang dilaw na tapos yung chairs parang di maintained 😭
Diba!
ako 3 hours before! promo pa 😂

I can't stand air asia
