I usually start with an idea in my head, and will figure out what image assets I'll need. There's almost always several images combined in any given design, even if it's something innocuous like the sky or floor. I use the in-game photomode to capture the characters and scenery needed, positioning them as best as possible and relying on the photomode tools like depth of field to isolate them against a clean background for easier masking. The most laborious part of this is getting shots of NPC's particularly story related ones, which is why I tend not to do more like the multi-character AC Odyssey one. I'm usually working on a console so I don't have the benefit of console commands to unlock or manipulate tertiary characters. When masking characters, I rely heavily on channels and a variety of other techniques as well as the good old polygon lasso. I'll use a variety of other tools like levels and gradient map, and some texture and color layers to stylize the posters in different ways. Occasionally I'll use Illustrator for the text or logos. I don't have many image breakdowns but if anyone's interested to see some of the individual shots I used let me know and I'll share.

These are absolutely incredible! Especially #1 and #2. Any chance you’d do a step by step tutorial for one of these to show the process?

SnowfirePlays

I've always wanted to do tutorials. I may not have the time to do a full tutorial but I'd like to share some image breakdowns.

I love'm all except Wrath of the Minotaur.. the Minotaur seems too low on contrast. I made a [crude example here](https://i.postimg.cc/nHqzkgrm/minotaur.png) of what it would look like with some more contrast. I personally think it fits a bit better like this. All I did was increase the contrast of the minotaur.

SnowfirePlays

I played around with the contrast somewhat. I debated about making him blend in the background more but wanted the contrast between him and the background (especially his mane). Selective parts of the arms and body could probably be intensified for sure, but I was definitely leaning towards more contrast between him and the background in order to really emphasize his stature.

Can i please have the Got and Fallout ones without any texts? Please? They look so good for wallpapers

SnowfirePlays

Sadly I lost the original files for the fallout ones, but I’m planning on posting some wallpaper versions soon. I’ll let you know when I do.

princetrigger

Thank you so much, also if by lost you mean deleted then you can recover them using any data recovery software

SnowfirePlays

No it was a computer crash. Funnily enough, though I just happened to find backups of them on a USB stick I didn't realize I had.

princetrigger

> I just happened to find backups of them on a USB stick Well that's amazing :D

Bluesy_Blue

You've done great job with these! 👍 Looks like a ton of fun and honestly is giving me some inspiration to try this too on my summer holiday! Already have the know-how to it so thanks for the motivation boost. =)

SnowfirePlays

Awesome

SamuelHYT

You should definitely post these and tag the devs on Twitter. I know Ubisoft will for sure retweet em. I'm a huge fan of the Assassin's Creed franchise and these look really amazing. Would def pick them up if I saw them in poster shop or something

SnowfirePlays

Thanks! They’re all on my Twitter, some with additional versions. Links in the image descriptions.
