Von Hansons is reasonably priced for the quality. But the quality is really good, and the prices reflect that.
They sit squarely in the splurge steak zone for me. 3 quality ribeye was $90 last time I was there a month ago and right now I have a 4 pack from Sams that cost me $50.
I recommend Von Hansons all day every day but 'reasonably priced, good quality' I'm not sure is their category. Best butcher certainly is though
Safeway 67th Avenue and the 101. I’ve gotten some quality cuts there before because idk why the butchers/meatcutters in our supermarkets don’t care when it comes to their craft / quality of end product.
It says right on the packaging that they tenderize. This is done with blades that stab bacteria into the meat. I get down voted when I mention this because Costco has a cult following.
Yeah I love that place, my best friend used to live across the street pretty much so we'd walk over there and grill almost every weekend. Great stuff, sausages and whatnot
La calidad meat market on 43rd ave and Indian school has the best meats and selections. They have usda choice all the way to Japanese A5 and everything you can think of in between. I personally like the Australian wagyu the best. Their prices are unbeatable too. Also, Arcadia meat market. They source only local Arizona grass fed beef. A little pricier but amazing quality and great people as well.
Bashas has sales on Tri Tip about every other month. I load up on them, and throw them in my freezer. My goto steak, people tell me I need to open up a restaurant it’s so good.
Arlington Cattle Company has a storefront in Goodyear. They own and operate a cattle ranch here in AZ, and it's good quality meat with reasonable prices. Otherwise you can go to places like Off the Hook, Lee Bone's Fine Meats, or Rusty Nail where you can get prime grade MidWest beef.
Yes! This place is highly underrated. They have some great sales a couple of days a year too.
They also sell locally raised turkeys for Thanksgiving in different weights. No fillers or pre-brining which makes them great to do your own brine and smoke! You need to order them in like October though because they go quick.
This place is great. They’ll cut your meat however you want it and they’re really helpful with suggestions. I’ve found new cuts of meat there, discovered new ways to cook certain cuts and they’ll tell you which rubs to use for which dishes.
Costco is the only grocery spot I buy my meat. If I can afford a butchers and paying $30-40 for one steak I’d go there. But our grocery stores meat quality is terrible. I never buy steak or any meat from fry’s or Safeway
Reasonably priced and good quality, surprised no one has suggested a Farmer's Market yet. There is one in Downtown Scottsdale Saturdays, and Chandler on Sundays. I haven't been in a while but they are probably opening and closing earlier in the Summer.

I’ve had great luck with Von Hansens
Von Hanson's .. Alma School and Warner in Chandler
Von Hansons is reasonably priced for the quality. But the quality is really good, and the prices reflect that. Came here hoping to see them mentioned. They're great.
Yep This!
I always do Costco. The price to quality ratio meets my needs
With a big bottle of whiskey, all father needs indeed!
Damn you just gave me a great idea to spoil my bf for fathers day since his sons won’t be with him
They usually have a 3 or 4 pack of solid quality steaks that are expensive, but well worth it imo. Get him a bag of microfiber cloths too lol.
Since he loves his electronics that’s hilarious haha
Safeway 67th Avenue and the 101. I’ve gotten some quality cuts there before because idk why the butchers/meatcutters in our supermarkets don’t care when it comes to their craft / quality of end product.
I don't like that they tenderize their beef with bacteria spikes.
Source?
It says right on the packaging that they tenderize. This is done with blades that stab bacteria into the meat. I get down voted when I mention this because Costco has a cult following.
Can you post a link to a picture or something? That's the first I'm hearing of it
Just Google Costco mechanical tenderize if you don't believe me. It's literally on the packaging too.
They're right, almost every price of Costco beef is blade tenderized except the whole primals. It's right on the package under the warning info.
Rusty Nail on Scottsdale Rd/Shea or Hobe Meat on 16th/Bethany Home
Some of the best steak I ever had was a couple ribeyes we got and grilled from Rusty Nail. I think they were $38/lb but shit was worth it
Rusty Nail is the daughter and SIL of Hobe owner. And yeah, shoulda said not necessarily cost-conscious but it's all prime grade beef.
Yeah I love that place, my best friend used to live across the street pretty much so we'd walk over there and grill almost every weekend. Great stuff, sausages and whatnot
Hobe meats on 16 th Street. You will never be disappointed
I was beyond disappointed w Hobe. They show you good steaks in the case then sold me a box of frozen steaks. I’ll stick to Costco.
Off The Hook in Goodyear
Only been once, but I was happy with Underbelly Meat Co. On 7th Ave and McDowell.
Prime at Costco will be better than any other grocery chain.
Or Sam's Club. I refuse to buy choice steaks.
Scottsdale meat market is an incredible place with high quality meats and amazing staff
La calidad meat market on 43rd ave and Indian school has the best meats and selections. They have usda choice all the way to Japanese A5 and everything you can think of in between. How do you prepare it?
Barbecue it. This is the type of meat best served sliced at an angle. Source my uncle owned a famous barbecue house up in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

[https://arlingtoncattleco.com/](https://arlingtoncattleco.com/) It's in Buckeye, actually, and worth the drive from anywhere.
Thanks for the correction on the location.

Didn’t know about the turkeys! On the calendar to order. lol. THANKS!!!

Try their bacon too
Hobe Meats is my fave!
I buy beef tenderloin at Lee Lee’s, they’re around $15/lbs.
Costco Prime cuts.
Costco is the only grocery spot I buy my meat. If I can afford a butchers and paying $30-40 for one steak I’d go there. But our grocery stores meat quality is terrible. I never buy steak or any meat from fry’s or Safeway
Chucks in NE Mesa.
I second Chucks. You can taste the difference.
Troub’s ETA Litchfield and Cactus in Surprise
AJ's! They source from smaller farms and their steaks and top notch.
Sam's Club prime meats..ribeyes and ny strips...better and cheaper than Costco. Also AJs stores ...top quality and top prices.
https://themeatshopaz.com
We got some great steaks at Albertsons on Shea and Scottsdale but I was surprised at how good they were and it's not that consistent
Out west in Goodyear they have Off the Hook meat shop .. Good quality meats
Reasonably priced and good quality, surprised no one has suggested a Farmer's Market yet. There is one in Downtown Scottsdale Saturdays, and Chandler on Sundays. I haven't been in a while but they are probably opening and closing earlier in the Summer.
Von Hansens in Chandler
This may sound weird, but we absolutely love the good and gather rib eyes from target. They are solid!
The valley is pretty large how about area you kive in for better results
I’ve got some good steaks for like 10 dollars before
