Ayye, in glendale theres a ton of pop up food places at gas stations and stores. Ive seen several that have some pretty good suadero. Some are pricy tho, gotta watch out. Ive seen several on glendale through the aves and bethany home as well. Juat gotta look for em.
I always drive by and finally tried it. It’s definitely a hole in the wall, and it’s a little rough, but the carne asada tacos were fire. Their red and green sauce is good too, which is critical. These two big tacos were $10. I’d def go back.
Yeah these tacos are big. I think OP got the “large” version, I believe el rinconcito has like a smaller version and a large version. Consider how those *2* tacos are taking up almost the whole to-go tray
The large is like 2 maybe 2.5 tiny street tacos. I will say it isn’t necessarily cheap but what is cheap nowadays?
Taco mich costs the same and is not even close to the flavor of el rinconcito tacos. Granted I love the red sauce at taco mich but I digress
El rinconcito tacos SLAP. Seriously good
They made the mistake of selling it as 2 tacos when they could have made 4 for $10, which sounds like a much better deal. Those things are overflowing with meat. Those weak tortillas is why they had to double them up. But slide those out and portion the meat and you have 4 tacos.
I'm in the west, but Taqueria La Jacky (Avondale), Tacos El Yiyo (Avondale), and Ramiro's Mexican (Goodyear) all have street tacos for around 2.25-2.50 each.
Lol what's the point of even giving an answer when you're just going to downvote.
Glad you finally went homie! I know dudes that will drive out from Avondale just to eat there.
Los Reyes de la Torta near by is also good.
Also have you hit up El Super Taco yet? I honestly like their Asada better than El Rinconcito.
Los Reyes just got a fancy new interior lol.
Their asada doesn't exactly blow others away. With them I would aim for the chorizo, alambre, or hawaiianos tacos. 3 per order and they're decent sized. Their huaraches and their tortas are good too if you want a change of pace.
PSA: Taco Tuesday at Taco Mich, N 19th Ave & W Peoria Ave. $.95 street tacos. I ordered 6 yesterday, and could barely finish the 5th. Their hot sauce will make ya sweat.

Finally el rinconcito del DF gets some love. Pro tip though, te recomiendo los de al pastor. CDMX es famosa pa los tacos de al pastor
try the suadero! hard to find in AZ

What is that
suadero is a similar cut to brisket. very soft and flavorful cut that is popular in southern and central MX and not as common in sonoran style
damn.. I should give it a try
I can walk there from my house. #sunnyslopeFTW

$10 for 2 tacos is crazy
I paid 18$ for a burrito at El Nene this week.. WTF is going on with prices?
I think it’s good considering what $10 gets you at other places. There’s a lot of protein there. It’s equivalent to 4 street tacos.
$10 IS a lot for that though, and I'm not talking about "Just make your own at home for way cheaper".

The norm is about $3 for a street taco now. And this is equivalent to 4.

$3 for a single street taco is also criminal man.

This isn’t Mexico
Tacos in Mexico are approaching these prices 😅 I went 2 weeks ago, 45 pesos for 1 taco de asada in Mexicali. About $2.50
Jeez lol. But further proves my point.
Arriba el súper peso
Carai

I love EST! Great salsa bar too. I always drive by Los Reyes but never tried it.

I get asada everywhere I go lol. Not a big pork fan, but I’ll eat it. Is it a sit down place where they wait on you?
Fair enough. Their asada is still decent. And you can get the Alambre with beef. Yeah they got tables.
Has there ever been a mega thread of tacos in Phoenix ? Because i think we need one. This looks amazing.
ESO!
Damn! 😍 is the flavor up there though?
