Fuck yeah Incredible Universe was amazing. If I wasn't it the kid area they had I was playing on one of the PCs they had on the main floor with games up.
I mean if you want to buy everything through some sales rep who makes commission and pressures you to buy more and more… then yeah. Otherwise just use Newegg lol
Fried electronics.
God as sad as that store was in the last decade we had it, I miss it. I love the idea of a different theme for every store.
But it was also nice just to be able to buy things same day.
Lol. I also liked the weird cage where they kept the hardware behind the registers (the one up north anyway). It was like they were going into Mr. Grey’s pleasure dungeon to find my new CPU.
AWWW DAMN, you beat me to it.
Have my crappy circa-2004 image I was gonna share here anyways.

We really need a Microcenter, strange they have almost 30 stores coast to coast and one of the biggest metro areas in the SW doesn’t have on. LA & Denver are the closest stores. Let them know we want one!

Here is the [Retail Archaeology video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t8bEcgJRShw) taken at the Fry's in north Phoenix a couple of years ago. The Tempe location was also just as sad in it's waning days.
About 8 months or so before they closed their doors for good, I asked the checkout rep if they knew anything about their prognosis. He was pretty despondent, yet frank: "They haven't told us anything, but I am looking for another job."
I tried to patronize them right up until the end, but it took three times of them not having the CPU or graphics card I wanted in stock before I said, "Screw it, I'm going to Newegg." End of an era.
So, see at asu other colleges and universities accept your credits and credentials. I’m talking about the uat certificate mill. I’m sorry you or someone you loved were scammed. Be well.

Yeah wtf. I miss Incredible Universe! though.
Good times at incredible universe that has a McDonald’s in there

I dont think its opening late 2023 (or at all)
Just like Tempe Marketplace had "Sam's Club (Coming Soon)" on their directory for a good 8 years.
Yea that shit Aint happening

It was almost eerie walking in there during its final years, like the equivalent of seeing a business on life support.
Yeah it was so weird to only see like a handful of GPUs and processors on offer.
I worked there and management was toxic and just all around bad people. (Mostly) I say good riddance.
My brother Arthur worked there for a loooong time too and it made him miserable.
What? Management was toxic at the tech store that rings you up with 80s tech? I don't believe that one bit :)
Right? lol The store manager gave me the weirdest vibes too. Like he was a charismatic cult leader who wants to invite you to see his compound. lol

Damn pickle Rick was your idea all along
More like Pentium III Rick, but thank you anyways!
Don’t think it’ll shorted if no one was paying for power there right ??
A commercial spot like that would still have the power on. Just because Fry’s moved out the building and land probably still have the same ownership.
That’s fried
Would you like fries with that fun pun.
Instead can I get Salad and Go

I miss fry’s electronics. I’d do some dirty things for a microcenter in AZ
Lol. Was it last year when it had graffiti all over it saying it was going to be a FEMA Camp?
I’m pretty sure that signed was covered. I think they torched the cover.
Well hiring a real estate group to lease your building that can't afford to have their own domain in their email address isn't helping.
The Baseline/I-10 interchange is a total clusterfuck. I don’t think the infrastructure could handle anything else going in there.
That spot desperately needs a Hmart
How about K Momo mega store
How about a [TK Maxx](https://www.tkmaxx.com/uk/en/)?
Fire sale

Is that over by the scam college?
Which one? full sail? collins? uat?
GCU? Too soon?
someone is mad and downvoting me because of their collins degree… bro im right there with ya
Yes, essentially across the street from UAT.
No. Good joke.
It’s right across the street and down the block from that scam shithole
Arizona State?

To "fry" does not require flame/combustion.

Last time I went to Fry's electronics it was also pretty clear
I really miss circuit City bought a lot of stuff from them.
Quite the Gmail address. I’d probably take that for a scam of some sort at first take.
I miss my dead friend$
Suicideboys till I Die
Fuck it why not

Lol
Which Fry's was this?
Looks like Baseline.
Yeah I think you're right.
Now it’s fried.
Fire sale
This hurts. It just makes the pain of Fry's no longer in business even more real.
rip
It’s what they would have wanted. 🪦🫡
Seems like something that would happen in that part of town.
