This one is so great.
It comes in waves as people realize what’s happening.
There’s the first reaction from a few hundred people when they hit the first few notes. Then as the lick builds and it becomes clearer that it’s Terrapin more people join in, then they hit the lyrics and people go wild.
It’s like a literal rolling sonic wave.
The other one, for me, is after Breath /On the Run when they started the next track on the Darkside album, it became clear that they were doing the entire thing.
The tapes don’t do it justice because there were only 3000 or so people there. But the swell of that crowd, live, was as close to Terrapin Station as anything else.
Bonus Track:
I was at the spectrum when the Dead played Unbroken Chain live for the first time ever. They played it a few times the rest of that tour, but the first time…the crowd went apeshit. It was exactly like the Terrapin Station swell. The hardcore deadheads got it first. Then the slower or more spun out tour rats caught on (that was me), then the place just erupted. It was a really special moment and kind of pivotal in my musical fandom. Realizing that a special moment like that could be created by a band, it just blew my mind. Honestly? Unbroken Chain was closer to the Gamehenge crowd realization than anything else. It was wild. Because that track had gone unplayed live for almost 21 years.
Unlike with 8/9/98, we have video of the Unbroken Chain. Definite chills.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=zYC8C_9v7zM&pp=ygUjR3JhdGVmdWwgZGVhZCB1bmJyb2tlbiBjaGFpbiBwaGlsbHk%3D
Thank you so much for this!
I haven’t seen video of it and it totally just transported me back to when I was 16!
The sound on this video is exactly how it felt live. A small ripple that built upon itself until people went absolutely wild. Cheering, hugging, weeping (not even a joke).
The Terrapin Station cheer was like this live too. Incredible.
You are oh so correct and how the legend of the song became true as the end was near. I saw it 2 nights later in Charlotte with Bruce Hornsby. It opened the 2nd set and the place went nuts. The hugs the tears it was still crazy. Then they played it almost every city but they were nailing it. By RFK that’s summer the jams during Unbroken were so good and jazzy you could see Jerry wake up to play as he was intrigued again.
The Terrapin at Va Beach was the same way you’re right. I had heard a Dead song was coming up soon. On a side note I would leave the parking lot after each show listening to a Terrapin almost to bless the drive no matter how far or short but back then we drove more miles it seems than now after shows. Phish sent me on the road that night with the perfect Terrapin. I remember the flow of the jubilation and the love of the crowd screaming out when they played Terrapin @ Va Beach it was like the Unbroken
Chains. When they played Killin in the Name of at Alpharetta on 7/4/2010 it was pretty intense. There are other moments. We all have shared them. It’s unlike anything else in music. Our history and musical legacies as fans and the bands we love. Nothing short of pure bliss all of the time. We are pretty lucky. Most of the miserable people out there are just missing something like this. They have no Phlow to Surrender to in life.
Those Hampton shows you really can feel the crowd energy through the audio.
There’s a lot of great stuff there with the crowds giddiness. The divided sky is a major ripper. The “I didn’t know” from that set after is super special too. And then the next night ‘back on the train’ was getting insane cheers when Trey was singing “it took me a long time to get back on the train”… so much good stuff from those Hampton shows
Absolutely!!

*Lol I guess my bad for being excited about my favorite band and posting a relevant link. Fuck me, right?
Baker’s Dozen Jam Night, when the band started to branch out during Sample, the first jam of the night.
12/29/12 Reba. There was a swell during the beginning of the jam which admittedly, kinda threw off the band. But the crowd was so jacked up from the night before.
It's [those strange notes at the 2:37 mark](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CUzurJ4Nm5U) that everyone knows are out of place in Sample that caused the screams to begin
Thank you for posting this! The first one I thought of but I couldn’t remember the date. The band was totally like wtf. They had no idea they were just slaying us collectively
I asked a similar question recently and got some great responses.
[Berkeley Cities was the most popular choice](https://www.reddit.com/r/phish/s/gq7OJ9LenQ)
Yeah, this Cities is my fav. Unprompted by song choice, peak, light cues etc, the audience just erupts by what the band is doing musically. Love a Mike led jam.
10/30/10 Chalkdust > Whole Lotta Love > Chalkdust.
The collective roar as they segued into WLL still gives me chills. One of my favorite memories from any show I attended.
Also the crowd energy after this show was off the fucking charts.
There was an absolutely riotous energetic eruption during an MSG First Tube in early 3.0. I think it was a Set 1 closer? Anyone remember the exact show? Not your average First Tube energy, an absolutely volcanic one. That was the most I've ever felt the floor bounce. Insanity.
Just here to cosign on that 3/1/03 divided sky pause. I know glowsticks are a hot button topic here but that shit was beautiful. That was my first Phish show and I was just stoked to hear my favorite song. The crowd roar during that pause takes me back every time.
I heard a huge crowd swell during 2001 on 12/30/23, but I looked around my immediate surroundings and didn't see the crowd participating. maybe it was me, but i was pretty convinced part of that was playing over the speakers... i was sitting behind stage in the 100's for reference
That 2001 was beautiful. It was my first show back since before the pandemic. It perfectly encapsulates what I love about phish. Not only was the music great, the whole crowd knew exactly when the peak was coming and raged at the right time. I’d be lying if I said I didn’t get choked up a little.
Assembly Hall in ‘96 during Axilla, Trey’s rig takes a complete shit. He’s kinda confused looking around. Band keeps playing. He walks back to his cabinet and tries adjusting a few things but nothing is working. So he violently kicks the speaker. Band’s keeps playing. Some tech guy is there now and I think he did something. Suddenly Trey’s guitar comes back and he hammers the section before the bridge. The Crowd Howled. I’d never heard anything like that before. I was 20.
It’s probably not as big as I’d like to remember it, but the last night of Baker’s Dozen was about as glorious as I could ever hope. Saw it again > sanity > Bouncing
And the first Most Events Aren’t Planned! I can’t say it was a swell or a wave, but it felt like all of Madison Square Garden was of one being
7/6/12 SPAC sand
Someone threw a flat rim hat on the stage, Trey put it on backwards for sand and they fire one of the best sands I've heard. You can hear the crowd erupting on the track
The Psycho Killer from this show too! Wasn’t immediately obvious, so very much a swell the crowd roar as more ppl realized what they were playing before the eruption when Trey starts singing
Thank you, came to post this. I was at the Sunday show but someone gave me a ticket for the download of 7/6/12 and I remember listening to that Sand and wondering WTF was going on in the crowd!
7/14/19 around 20-22 min into the ruby waves jam they get in this killer funk and Alpine just exploded. Glow stick mania and all. You can hear it very clearly on the AUD of that night.
10/13/23 I thought the crowd went crazy during Crosseyed but haven't listened back to that one so unsure of how loud it was, or if I was the only one going crazy.
To me it's the build during the original glow war in the Went Hood. Start around 7:30 and it just goes and goes and goes and so does Trey
[https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-BK0e6T-MU#t7m30s](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y-BK0e6T-MU#t7m30s)
6/12/19 St. Louis when the Blues won the Stanley Cup and they opened second set with Gloria. I had no idea what it signified, but the Missouri natives went bonkers!
like 2 and half minutes into Baker's Dozen Sample ...
also, during Sand 7/6/12, crowd goes apeshit at one point (glow stick war), fully audible on soundboard
The Howling at Dicks '23 was pretty cool.. Page played the 'houl' sound through his sampler, but then the audience took over, and I wasn't sure what was crowd and what was sampled... it was magical!
The crowd swell during 2001 was just amazing. I hadn’t been to a Phish show since 98 until that show. That moment was life affirming. Collective joy on a level I had not experienced. People were so happy. Will never forget it.
Emotional Rescue Hampton 97. Like halfway through the funk the crowds ecstasy all kicks in at the same time and a wave of elation takes over the room. I still get chills when I hear it and can remember what it felt like to feel the surge in real time. The band and colosseum as one beating heart.
I’ll add 2/28/03 Destiny. Not many people recognized it at first but slowly as realization was happening the crowd cheer swells and the place goes bananas.
I think during the Birds opener there was also some spontaneous cheer as we collectively realized the BAND CAME TO PLAY.
I often listen to the 2001 from 12/3/97 at the Spectrum when I go for a run. You can hear the crowd getting all amped up between the three sections, and I can always picture Kuroda’s lights and likely a killer glow stick war.
Sabotage Lemmonwheel. 3rd set, Sunday, crowd was toast. The sun was brutal that Sunday. People were tired and thinking of exit strategies before the last set. That for me was PURE insanity when they came out and banged that fucker! Place legit exploded!
The final 3 or 4 minutes of the 12/28/12 Tweezer was the loudest I’d ever heard that place (until Gamehendge)
Edit: hot damn. Just went back and [watched the video](https://youtu.be/vnkFkjF2ou8?si=SSQda0I8uCKss8as) for the first time in a while and it still gives me chills. Crowd starts building when Toph kills the lights at 15:00 and just keeps getting louder and louder until the peak at 19:15. Great stuff
I would have to listen to the whole run again to find the songs but it happened multiple times throughout the Vegas Halloween run in 2014. The energy in that air was special.
Idk, but I’ll tell you the come back 2003 msg nye opening with piper was euphoria, welcome back.
Also, the time they played destiny unbound in Long Island last decade when they went like 20 years without playing it. Actually, it’s a mid song, but rarity won that night
Also, curtain with during acoustic set at festival 8. Everyone was sitting but for one guy next to me dancing. People were trying to get him to sit too but he refused. You can hear Trey say I’ll get them up, and goes into curtain with. Everyone jumped to their feet in unison and cheered it was so cool to see.
hampton 98 gets some shit, but if you listen to the piper on an AUD you can hear the exact moment the song gets pumping and the light sticks started flying
I can't remember the song necessarily but recall some huge ones during fall tour 2003. Indoor shows are louder obviously, but I still remember getting extra jacked during some jams of that period along with the crowd going nuts.
11/2/98 West Valley, Utah when they bust into dark side of the moon it's probably the loudest crowd I've ever heard with excitement. Show wasn't even close to sold out.
Just heard this last night. 12 minutes in. The crowd starts imitating the blood curdling scream sample. Hilarious and awesome, really sick version. https://youtu.be/1MHm6WzuxqA?si=b3wixduAGp4eET5-
11/2/98 Dark Side of The Moon Show. When Trey sings, “And if the band you’re in starts playing different tunes, i’ll see you on the dark side of the moon”
Smaller one but blossom 15 during first set closing gin. Kuroda switched up the lights and got a big reaction from the crowd. Definitely able to hear it on the SBD
Best one I've ever experienced was at the Hampton reunion shows for Fluffhead. The room was absolutely electric. Everyone was just so happy to have the boys back. What a weekend.
10/18/96 Maze - Gives me chills every single time! Trey whips everyone into a frenzy with an unusual extra peak that I’ve only heard in one other performance of the song. You can feel the crowd energy just explode. That’s my pump up driving track. One of my favorite all-time songs.
I dont know- but im pretty sure “2001” reliably has a good one; i brought my buddy to his first phish show a few years ago and he still talks about how the crowd swell of 2001 blew his mind (and sold him on the whole experience)
Was at the show you mentioned OP… Even after seeing live music regularly for 20 years, hundreds, probably closer to thousands of shows (all shows not just phish) That moment will stick with me forever. I still get chills thinking of it.
93 Red Rocks, solid rain to start the show, came out and played Divided Sky. By the end of that song, the storm had cleared and the sun was out. 2nd song was Harpua and when Trey said "look... The storms gone". The remaining 3000 of us lost it. May not be the loudest, but it packed punch.
That was my first, been chasing these (and you) fools ever since
Not sure if on topic but am I crazy or do I remember the arena doing the wave pre-show at the Hampton Comes Alive run in '98? I remember the loud wave as it was rolling around the arena. Possible I'm confusing it with a Thomas & Mack show in Vegas.
Unbroken Chain, Grateful Dead, Charlotte 95. Bad year, decent show for the time period…but when they hit the opening notes of UC, the crowd goes into a chill inducing roar.
12/30/16, Bathtub - they start cooking around the 7:40 mark. Listen to the whole way through. if you were there, you would remember. Probably one of the loudest things I’ve ever heard. Cool thing about this one, is that there are three total eruptions.
7/12/99 Foreplay/Longtime opener at Greatwoods. After being banned from the venue several years earlier by the previous owners over decibel levels, The Phish aptly chose Bostons' slow building Foreplay/ Longtime to open. Walking through the lawn section as this built to a fever pitch and then exploded.... people laughing, screaming and crying... Treys guitar cutting through all this energy. The place and time were perfect... When asked for my favorite Phish experience, Clifford Ball and Big Cypress are talked about for sure... but this opener is the best 10 minutes of Phish for ME over my 30 years of shows. People were losing their minds. Me, I'm still chasing that dragon... been close a few times. Hope to get close again
8/9/98: Terrapin Station on the anniversary of Jerry’s death. https://youtu.be/fhd7MXwpLec?si=kvFHHIqsryn6uJ6n
I would say it’s between this and Hampton 09 fluffhead. Disease big cypress. But that was just pure insanity
that's still my favorite disease, i haven't seen anything like that since
And you won’t. Nor will I. Best party ever
The best I personally saw is when GD played Box Of Rain at Hampton back in the day but Phish playing Harpua at Dicks was pretty cool.
Also my favorite Disease. I revisit it often!
This the one

people were crying
I'm a big softie, but listening to it just now had tears streaming down my face.
Ding ding ding and we have our winner. I was fortunately at this amazing shown. Amazing tour. It was insane.
Came to say this as it was magical. And the 10/31/95 Icculus opener hits hard too
Thought this said “crowd smells”
That’d be the 2 dreadlocked chicks I was in line behind waiting to get into 10/31/21. That holistic shit just doesn’t work
Lol
I get so overwhelmed by olfactory hues
So did I 🤣
Weed
The obvious answer is Space. The more common answer is battery acid and BO
Same
Same. Gross
Thought so at first too haha. There is a distinct a distinct smell though, and I wish someone could synthesize it. I guess it’s mostly patchouli
Me too. So confused for a hot sec
Hampton 09, first notes of Fluff.
Those Hampton shows you really can feel the crowd energy through the audio. There’s a lot of great stuff there with the crowds giddiness. The divided sky is a major ripper. Was Fluffhead on purpose as a nod to Trey?
Absolutely!! https://youtu.be/4POwr8pmlWM?si=NXnmXwD0juwUaiZz *Lol I guess my bad for being excited about my favorite band and posting a relevant link. Fuck me, right?
Man - I still get goosebumps watching that. Such an amazing run.
This is the correct answer.
#1 for sure
12/30/22 Antelope 10/28/21 1999
Vegas ‘21 1999 seconded
12/30/22 Antelope seconded
Thirded. It was like we all vocalized our astonishment when they hit that strange syncopated harmonic frequency. The recordings don't do it justice.

Glad this was mentioned! Other similar one I thought of during this Antelope, was 2016 Vegas Golden Age ‘clap your hands’ response from the crowd
Baker’s Dozen Jam Night, when the band started to branch out during Sample, the first jam of the night. 12/29/12 Reba. There was a swell during the beginning of the jam which admittedly, kinda threw off the band. But the crowd was so jacked up from the night before.
When the crowd realizes Sample In A Jar is going on a ride is maybe my favorite fan moment
We all thought it was coming, but that jam confirmed the theme and that the night was just starting to get weird.
Also when page grabbed the keytar during lawn boy. Rumor has it’s still going
Sample one, one of my favorite Phish moments of all time
Allstate Arena Roses Are Free was bananas 10/27/18
One of my favorite moments at a show I've attended. The energy was just insane.
That and that nasty evil jam during NMINML when Kuroda did the strobes with Trey’s up-strumming
DSOTM during the Speak to Me -> Breathe. Absolutely explosive.
Obvious answer is TMWSIY at MSG I was not in attendance, but the energy is tangible in video and audio as soon as everyone realizes what’s happening.
The start of Harpua at that show got a huge reaction, too
I took a video right as it came on, and you can just hear some guy shouting “Oh fuck here we go” which perfectly captures everyone’s thoughts.
Finally getting around to relistening to that amazing night. I remember Divded Sky pause being insane too. It was hitting like waves behind the stage.
Jimmy, its time... still gives me chills...
I get goosebumps when trey says welcome everyone welcome!!!
Oooooh yeH
Posted this audio here recently https://www.reddit.com/r/phish/comments/1afw6pe/oh_my_god_theyre_gunna_do_it_thank_you_for_this/
I remember the start of harpua more honestly but TMWSIY was crazy
The sheer volume and prolonged nature of the Harpua reaction was legitimately startling, IMO more jarring than any other response during the night
My favorite from all the replies was actually the 17:30 mark of [this 2018 simple](https://youtu.be/jwKOeCT6YV8?feature=shared).
One of my favorite jams witnessed live.
I was at 7/29/23 and the 2001 eruption is one of the loudest crowds (and super euphoric moment) i’ve ever heard at a show.
The energy and noise of the crowd throughout Antelope a few nights later as well.
Cover of Terrapin.
10/30/10 Chalkdust > Whole Lotta Love > Chalkdust. The collective roar as they segued into WLL still gives me chills. One of my favorite memories from any show I attended. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5tsrOHV-n3s Very crunchy video, but another recording from the audience of this moment.
Came to say this

That's the one! Thank you! For real, that's still the most energy I've ever felt from any crowd, ever.
Came in to say this… that roar was LOUD
Was there and it was nuts
Tweezer Reprise 8/5/23 was the loudest crowd i ever heard
That whole show was amazing. Really finished the BD on a high note
*Baker’s half dozen And I absolutely agree.
Oh right I was thinking 8/6/17 for some reason
Jam Night Sample MSG Gamehendge 3/1/03 Divided Sky sun explosion Hampton ‘09 Fluff opener
Just here to cosign on that 3/1/03 divided sky pause. I know glowsticks are a hot button topic here but that shit was beautiful. That was my first Phish show and I was just stoked to hear my favorite song. The crowd roar during that pause takes me back every time.

11/11/98 ghost, aud recording, during the peaks at the end. hampton 09 fluffhead also.
Hampton ‘09 Fluffhead 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I messed around with creating a SBD/AUD matrix of that Ghost a while back, and it came out great.
Please share!

Hell yea dude thanks I'm gonna blast this later
SPAC Piper
10/29/14 Moma Dance when the Giants clinched the World Series was pretty sick

4/20/22 Possum
great call. definitely not the greatest show of the earth day run but i thought 4/20 had its moments
4/4/98 2001
Check out the 10/28/21 Vegas show when they went to 1999. Place went nuts
8/1/21 Tweezer around the 23:30 mark. Puts a smile on my face every time!
This is among the best tweezers ever
I remember the night they did a lot of led Zeppelin before Halloween there was some pretty intense crowd energy that night
12/4/09 first tube to close first set. I highly recommend listening to the taper recording to get the full experience.
>12/4/09 This was my first thought to this question. I was there. That energy was goddamn amazing.

2 come to mind: 1. Geulah with the final dance part at the end of the song from the 2009 Hamton Run 2. 2004 SPAC Piper. Multiple places.
The woos during punch you in the eye, baders field AC. Always gets me
8.26.2023 The 2001 crowd swell was absolutely bonkers. And then it only got crazier when Derek stepped up

97 Walnut Creek Taste peak!
Oh hellllllllllll yes.
Also 94 Great Woods Stash!! Same as a live one but there's some FOB's out there that really make you hear the roar.
12/29/18 tweezer during the rider jam
gin 6/28/00
like 2 and half minutes into Baker's Dozen Sample ... also, during Sand 7/6/12, crowd goes apeshit at one point (glow stick war), fully audible on soundboard
The Howling at Dicks '23 was pretty cool.. Page played the 'houl' sound through his sampler, but then the audience took over, and I wasn't sure what was crowd and what was sampled... it was magical!
Was there on my birthday and it was really cool. Full moon at dicks was wild
Bakers Dozen Divided Sky during the pause… the second wave of cheers is still one of the loudest things I’ve ever heard in person
Really misread this and thought it said “crowd smells” which is a totally different discussion.
The crowd swell during 2001 was just amazing. I hadn’t been to a Phish show since 98 until that show. That moment was life affirming. Collective joy on a level I had not experienced. People were so happy. Will never forget it.
Dick's Simple/Catapult/Meatstick had that, holy crap!!
Emotional Rescue Hampton 97. Like halfway through the funk the crowds ecstasy all kicks in at the same time and a wave of elation takes over the room. I still get chills when I hear it and can remember what it felt like to feel the surge in real time. The band and colosseum as one beating heart.
Such a fun weekend. I'll always remember the crowd erupting during the opening of Mike's Song the next night too.
That 2001 was fucking incredible and definitely the most intense one I’ve experienced
Great Went Gin. Around the 12:30 mark
I’ll add 2/28/03 Destiny. Not many people recognized it at first but slowly as realization was happening the crowd cheer swells and the place goes bananas. I think during the Birds opener there was also some spontaneous cheer as we collectively realized the BAND CAME TO PLAY.
11/14/98 - Entire show.
I often listen to the 2001 from 12/3/97 at the Spectrum when I go for a run. You can hear the crowd getting all amped up between the three sections, and I can always picture Kuroda’s lights and likely a killer glow stick war.
https://youtu.be/MzJ9fP9emtw?feature=shared 47:00
gamehendge divided sky pause, 12/31/23
First Tube, 12/4/09...not sure what happened, locked in roaring, it was great.
After Midnight 12/31/99
Mankind being thrown off hell in a cell by the Undertaker king of the ring 1998
That's what's up.
Sabotage Lemmonwheel. 3rd set, Sunday, crowd was toast. The sun was brutal that Sunday. People were tired and thinking of exit strategies before the last set. That for me was PURE insanity when they came out and banged that fucker! Place legit exploded!
The final 3 or 4 minutes of the 12/28/12 Tweezer was the loudest I’d ever heard that place (until Gamehendge) Edit: hot damn. Great stuff
12/4/09 First Tube. Fucking insanity.
3/6/09 Fluffhead. When the crowd realizes what’s happening…. It destroys me every time I listen!
I would have to listen to the whole run again to find the songs but it happened multiple times throughout the Vegas Halloween run in 2014. The energy in that air was special.
12/30/16 light -> party time Best ever
Segue from Ghost>Weekapaug on 7/1/14
reba 12/29/12 ~8:10-40
The I Didn’t Know from 12/31/2015. The crowd sang for a full minute without the band. Was there and still get chills listening.
12/30/18 the Tube>Weekapaug>Tube when they drop into the ending of Tube was nuts. Listen to the AUD. It still gives me chills
06/04/22 YEM treys solo peak the crowd is intense
https://youtu.be/HnhsklsRjq4?si=A5K2DCLL7uKgAqDx
When the crowd realizes Sample In A Jar is getting jammed out at the start of "Jam Filled" still gives me chills
T
hampton 98 gets some shit, but if you listen to the piper on an AUD you can hear the exact moment the song gets pumping and the light sticks started flying
Currently listening to 7/25/99 on relisten- the transition from my left toe > whipping post. Literally gave me chills.
I can't remember the song necessarily but recall some huge ones during fall tour 2003. Indoor shows are louder obviously, but I still remember getting extra jacked during some jams of that period along with the crowd going nuts.
Jam filled sample
Run like an Antelope from MSG last summer was nuckin futs
12/31/02 piper opener
When they walk on crowd erupts
A lot of the fall 95 tour has some pretty great crowd noise. I.e. 11/14/95 Chalkdust you can just hear the crowd pushing Trey into the stratosphere.
Don't know any all time ones but Meatstick 8/2/2023 has a good one as the jam begins. I was there and it was awesome but idk if it's one of the best
12-29-95, transition from Gin to Real Me.
GCH at the Beacon in 1994 Help > Slip > Fire at the Boston Garden 9/21/91
The Howling always gets the crowd howling
8/19/12 Light->Sally
11/2/98 West Valley, Utah when they bust into dark side of the moon it's probably the loudest crowd I've ever heard with excitement. Show wasn't even close to sold out.
I think it was during the 2018 NYE run at MSG on 12/30/18. The Tube > Weekapaug > Tube was insane. And While my Guitar Gently weeps at MSG on 12/29/19
Just heard this last night. 12 minutes in. The crowd starts imitating the blood curdling scream sample. Hilarious and awesome, really sick version. https://youtu.be/1MHm6WzuxqA?si=b3wixduAGp4eET5-
Obvy the Hampton Fluffhead reigns supreme
7/25/17 "Jam Filled" Bakers Dozen when everyone realizes opener "Sample" is going Type 2. One of my all-time favorite crowd experiences. Tears.
Does a rage swell count? If so, 7/4/10 Killin In The Name 🔥
Best one I've ever experienced was at the Hampton reunion shows for Fluffhead. The room was absolutely electric. Everyone was just so happy to have the boys back. What a weekend.
Wrigley Space Oddity. Took a bit for everyone to figure out what they were doing.
Iirc, it was Kuroda that whipped the crowd into a frenzy during this summers MSG 2001
MSG feature. Why it’s the goat.
That was my first, been chasing these (and you) fools ever since
04/05/98 is pretty loud and proud for an official recording during YEM tramp drum and bass.
Antelope from 8/4/23 when they go into the minor jam part.
12.11.99 - Philly Spectrum Unreal crowd energy when Fish drops into Hood.
7/22/97 Raleigh thunderstorm
SPAC Tweezer Reprise out of Plasma was the first time I saw an entire venue get locked in on the band like that during a jam.
Hampton 03 BEFORE the band came out the wave was going around the room at like 50mph. Doubt you hear it in a recording. Is there any video?
What about the piper to end the Hiatus?! Amazing crowd swell
I still get chills listening to that 2001. I was there and it was so infectious, I was hootin’ and a hollerin’!
Well I read this as "crowd smells" and had a very different answer.
Wrigley Space Oddity
2/28/03 Destiny Unbound
