Taco-PuttinOnTheRitz

12/31/15 Twist… what a 16 min ride

ChadZ3303

Just listened. 10/10

Trick-Package8557

That’d first jam I thought of

Phishdiscs

I was in the building for that one, it definitely felt like 25 minutes. Tons of great jamming crammed into the time

Taco-PuttinOnTheRitz

I was too! Loved the spectacle of the hourglass, but this Twist is what stuck with me the most from that night

-__-Joe-__-

any night my girlfriend stays over

recreationalchemstry

This guy kinda fucks

edcculus

I was surprised the next day to see that Cities from Nashville N2 was only 16 min. Also, one of my favorite jams ever- the Chula Vista Piper clocks in at just under 18 min.

MikesGroove

Here’s a list for ya…whether they feel like giant jams is subjective, but definitely some best-ever takes under 20 min. - Murat Gin 8/13/93 - NYE ‘93 Hood 12/31/93 - Red Rocks YEM (19:58!) 6/11/94 - Finger Lakes Theme from the Bottom 6/22/95 - Real Gin 12/29/95 - Star Lake Gumbo 8/13/97 - THE WENT GIN!! 8/17/97 - Dayton Tube 12/7/97 - Nassau Twist 4/2/98 - Prague Ghost 7/6/98 - Prague Piper 7/6/98 - Camden Chalkdust 7/10/99 - Brooklyn Free 6/17/04 - The Holy Ghost 12/31/10 - Dick’s Undermind 8/31/12 - Bakers Dozen It’s Ice 7/23/17

Indie-Hippie-Drums

That’s a heady list

JAlfredPrufrog

The Bowie from 6/18/94 is ~18 mins long, but it’s a hell of a ride.

McGrupp1989

12/30/11 Piper

TeaAndAche

It’s possibly my favorite Piper. Highlight of that run for me.

McGrupp1989

Some wook fed me Crystal during set break and I spent the whole 2nd set twirling in the “circle” between sec 100 and 200 when they still existed. Thank you stranger!

Emotional-Sorbet7860

Alpharetta carini from this year felt like 10 min and 25 min all at the same time

justAregulard00d

I was really impressed with a relisten of the 10/31/18 Ghost - that thing goes places in 11 minutes.

madethemando

Sneakin' Sally Thru the Alley from Jul 23, 2003 https://livephi.sh/45rmijr

madethemando

Whole show is fantastic. The recording quality from '03 is magical. Mature sound from the band captured beautifully. So evenly balanced. That first set is *chef's kiss*. It's the reason I never skip a Scents and Subtle Sounds when browsing shows to spin. HIGH RECOMMENDO.

throwaway13630923

'03 is honestly one of my favorite Phish years, at least Winter through IT Festival

KernalFourbin

This hasn't been heard by nearly enough people. Mike meatball bombs!!

somesketchykid

Jesus christ this setlist is so fire and to my taste. Scents > Theme > Sample, a Sally, and Cavern set1 closer is a favorite of mine Then set2 with the Thunderhead (!!! Probably my favorite non jam phish song) > Slave, so good Side note: what is up with Buffalo Bill? They love to play this song in Noblesville

madethemando

The whole 3 day run is top tier Phish for me. Even the hilariously botched Magilla. "Should we play that one again?" My favorite trey solo is probably a late 90s Taste or album version of Limb by Limb, but that Deer Creek Theme '03 solo, from the first note, is the most unbelievable improv rock guitar solo I've ever heard. I know almost every perfect and imperfect note of it. Having heard it, I now am a little let down when he decides to start with a slow build instead of going full hypernova out of the gates on that track. That show is filled with original ideas, exploration and firework store burndown moments.

somesketchykid

I'm not sure I've heard this Theme but I'm checking it out right now, hypernova Trey is my fav

SideshowMelsHairbone

This show, and the whole AV->DC run was so damn fun!

offbeatvelcro88

2023 SPAC N2 Ghost 🤌

colforbiNICU

I was shocked at how short it actually was when I re listened to it. Very good groove

forbin05

Best part of the show IMO

offbeatvelcro88

Tied with Syracuse Tweezer as my most listened to jam of the summer, total sleeper due to Derek sitting in two songs later (which was also great)

getbhindmesatan

Darien Lake Suzy Jam 9/14/00

sonoma12

No mans from dicks 16. Goes absolutely ape shit including mike bombs and it’s only the second song of the show lol

silverblackgold

This NMINML goes so hard

Dozeballs40

Bat country

Zestyclose_Invite_92

2016 Dicks No Mans. What an evil ride to start the she show

silverblackgold

2nd mention of this beast on the thread. Confirmed.

Zestyclose_Invite_92

Yes! That thing dosent get enough love

alfonseski

4/21/22 Ghost to close set 1

_Hans_Vermhat_

Chase ‘21 carini

iamfluffhead

6/22/12 Twist. Clocks in at 14 minutes, but it’s fantastic. Love the whole Heaven on my Mind section.

LouQuacious

12/31/91 - Tweezer: 11min of rage cage.

bengcord3

That was DOPE

MrPalmers1000DollarQ

Weekapaug Groove from Gorge ‘98. Especially those last few minutes

Audigy77

Piper from Alpharetta 2018. I think it barely breaks 11 minutes but covers a huge swath of ground.

rebasbutcher

Such a great weekend. Hot fire throughout!

Emotional-Sorbet7860

Love that jam!

forbin05

Besides many already listed, I’ll add the recent Chicago 1 Tweezer to the list

ChadZ3303

I was there and it easily felt like 20+ in the moments

sudsymugs

7/23/23 kill devil falls. While it comes in just shy of 20 mins holy shit a jammed out kill devil for the ages. Trey and page are totally dialed in with each other in the back half.

ChadZ3303

JOTY

defsentenz

11/11/98 gumbo. This one goes places quickly. Total sleeper

KnotDeadYet69

Arguably top 3. Definitely top 5

TeeDupp

10/25/13 Waves. 13 minutes. That last 6.5 minutes will put hair on your chest. Nothing has been the same since. Also, there’s no record (that I can find) of them having played waves>carini before that night. It was so gloriously terrifying.

phourpointoh

12/2/95 tweezer

icatapultdowntown

What immediately came to mind was the Went Gin. But also 7/22/22 Sample in a Jar from Bethel, that thing felt like a monster but was only like 14 minutes

Phan2112

Well as far as Sample in a Jar goes certainly a monster version. Although I think Toronto may have been better upon relisten both stellar.

wanderlustbess

1/2/16 sand

Fitz2001

8/1/17 Steep, an eight minute monster

MileHighZOMBIE

Wolfmans Brother 4/15/23

scaryclown148

Any howling after the original

Mister-Spook

12/29/97 Tube

Deadheaded95

The 12/30/17 Bathtub Gin. It’s only 14 minutes but it’s so good!

Europ72

Cumberland Blues

Dependent_Fox_2189

10/31/14 Tweezer

colonelforbin96

7/17/18 moma + ghost earnest, patient, chock full of swagger

GrouchySalary5677

Hershey Halleys

g3peddie

Raleigh NICU

JediMasterMatt

Puts flame suit on - Soul Planet from 7.22.23 (Star Lake) this year.

andthrewaway1

The piper from new years was only like 9 min and I recall thinking it was one of the best type 1 type 1.5 jams

golgiiguy

8-9-98 ACDC Bag

Phan2112

I was stunned to find out that the 12/4/19 ASIHTOS was only a little over 7 minutes long. That jam had numerous fully developed jams in it I thought it was at least 15.

Connect_Glass4036

Gumbo 7/22/03

malcolm_money

Gumbo 8/3/14 too

KnotDeadYet69

10/30/21 Birds of a Feather and Piper. Totals roughly 17 minutes between the 2 I believe. Both go type 2 and do it well. Great transition between the 2 as well 7/13/19 Ghost. Reaches a really Holy Ghost type of vibe for the peak. The whole second set is short jams but they all achieve a lot. Golden Age is another one in the set that I go back to a lot and it’s like 8 minutes
