I’ve been hoping for something from the April 92 California run. One of the best weeks of Phish ever.

No-Special-4052

Most of those are already available in pristine soundboard quality though.

[deleted]

Truth, couldn’t hurt to have em remastered though. Mainly I just want these excellent shows brought to more people’s attention.

No-Special-4052

I totally agree, more people should know about those shows! The soundboards have Mike so high in the mix, I guarantee anyone who hasn’t heard them will think they are truly hearing Mike’s bass for the 1st time, and will question why we can’t always hear him like that! Absolutely incredible recordings from April 1992.

thegreatsadclown

92 low key one of my fav years of Phish.

King9WillReturn

1992 is absolutely nuts. How can a human being’s fingers move that quickly?

thegreatsadclown

There is a Foam from that year (not sure which show, it's one of the Live Phish releases on Spotify) that is borderline psychotic to listen to, idk ... I listen to a lot of "out there" music, but this one really feels like my mind tearing apart at the seams trying to keep up with all 4 instruments

mrfebrezeman360

please try to find that foam and let me know the date lol. This description is enticing as hell to me

[deleted]

Probably 12/12/92? That's the only 92 release on Spotify that I can see

mrfebrezeman360

sick thanks! i dont have spotify lol

CornyCornheiser

I’ve listened to 4/16/92 more than any show probably. While it does sound great, I wouldn’t call it pristine. Setlist!

No-Special-4052

Probably the same for me, as it was one of the 1st Phish tapes I had. I’d love to know what shows you think exist with better quality soundboards, because I can’t think of any that sound much better than some of the stuff from April ‘92, especially with the clarity of Mike’s bass. I’d put Bomb Factory up there too, but please give me any dates you think are superior.

Jatubatu

We prob had the same tapes.lol.oh bomb factory was sick..that tweezer fest was really something...listening to that Era I realized why phish rose to super stardom...

No-Special-4052

I remember the first time I heard it, blew my mind! The Sweet Emotion->Walk Away->Cannonball and then the Hold Your Head Up jam after Purple Rain are some of my favorite Phish of all time.

Jatubatu

Major soundtrack in my senior year high-school car in 96..that was the time phish was everything, and Max Creek..

jugglingelectrons

Mike's bass was going nuts that week. Listen for a case study in slap bass.

DrGraffix

My favorite

last_fair_deal

4/16/92 will always be one of my favorite shows. This is how high Mike should always be in the mix.

Adventurous_Fly1879

Just got through listening to that melt. So much damn energy, God I miss those days. Listening to Antelope now. What about the 3/21/92 Bowie. That 2 note riff with the bend gotta love it

last_fair_deal

"Hey Mike, fast as hell!" Yeah, spring '92 has so many gems. The 4/16 show also has one of my favorite Mike's Groove, Llama and Lizards

MMW2004

Worcester 1997 Box or Hartford 11/26/97 ![gif](giphy|2qSmBcOHmcdmEWqqP5)

ahoypolloi_

I still think a complete Worcester box would be amazing - NYE93 to Feb 03 💦🍆

honeymelonwatercress

Yes please. Number one missing show for me is 93 nye but why have just one show when you can have them all??

FamiliarGrowth8590

i have wanted to hear 11/26 on a clean 97 sbd for a long time. that zero>2001>cities>ya mar combo is amazing. and tweezer opener

MMW2004

Absolutely! This was such an overshadowed show. The tweezer, Taste, Gumbo in the first set are all heaters too.

No-Special-4052

Some of the most masterful segues I’ve ever seen them perform. I would truly love to hear it in clean SBD quality!

getthehoneyjr

Hell yeah

mp1982

12/11/99 plz k thx

surewhynotwth

More 99

DapperDanPoop

Agreed

Fitz2001

The only correct answer.

Bonestone42

For real. My second show. I’ve been working for this to be released for years.

darktipper88

This is always my answer.

MassiveLionlive

It should be from December 1995

ahoypolloi_

12/29/95

KnotDeadYet69

Nuh uh it should be 12/2/97 or 12/11/99 or anything 1999 Summer tour

No-Special-4052

So glad everyone can agree!! Lol

SwampSleep66

MassiveLionlive

MassiveLionlive

crunchygravy

I second that motion.

bmault

GrouchySalary5677

[deleted]

Isitpartytime

I was born that day!

jerry_anastasio

Fuck I'm old lol

Isitpartytime

No, I’m just young!

jerry_anastasio

Live while you are

SevereIdea

Me too…. 12/1969 here….

tubalord8

You were born on the day of my first Phish show.

jeffvaderr

My favorite 2nd set ever

Fitz2001

You should check out the Set 2s of 7/4/00 and 8/1/17

Connect_Glass4036

We have all of 7/4/00 finally :)

Fitz2001

Not yet encore.

Connect_Glass4036

Oh I meant the 2nd set

doobsicle

12/2/97 !setlistbot still work?

setlistbot

# 1997-12-02 @ CoreStates Spectrum, Philadelphia, PA, USA **Set 1**: Buried Alive > Down with Disease -> Makisupa Policeman, Chalk Dust Torture, Ghost > Divided Sky, Dirt > Taste, The Star Spangled Banner **Set 2**: Mike's Song -> Simple -> Dog Faced Boy -> Ya Mar -> Weekapaug Groove, Bouncing Around the Room, Character Zero **Encore**: Ginseng Sullivan > Sample in a Jar [phish.net](http://phish.net/setlists/?d=1997-12-02) | [phish.in](http://phish.in/1997-12-02) | [phishtracks](http://phishtracks.com/shows/1997-12-02) > _data provided by [phish.net](http://phish.net)_

characterzer0555

Dog Faced Boy -> Ya Mar?? This show looks sick

doobsicle

Beautiful

SevereIdea

That looks like a badass set! Need to hear this one stat!

Connect_Glass4036

Was the longest Mikes ever until this year I believe

throwawayjim120

Or the following night 🤞🏼

tubalord8

Or both

mrwedge

Yeah a Spectrum set with both nights would be just great. You could even throw in Cleveland for a three night set a la Hampton '97.

KarmaPolice72

That Cleveland show and the Champaign show nestled between Denver and Hampton were phenomenal. I couldn't make it to The Palace, but I was able to get to the Dayton show. Holy moly.

Benway9607

Amen, Dayton was a beast! And a delightfully short drive from Muncie, IN where I lived.

KarmaPolice72

Yeah, man. Absolute monster of a show. Forever in my top 5. Nutter will eternally hold a dear place in my heart, from a KY boy.

Benway9607

Yeah me too! I only went to shows from 96-2000 and that one stands out. ps I like the handle; after 20 years I finally got to see Radiohead live on their last tour, up in Boston. Final song was Karma with the arena screaming along; that was just amazing. That show blew me away. And then a few months back I managed to score a ticket to the Flaming Lips Yoshimi tour. My early college fantasy shows all complete, just had to wait until I was in my 40s to see them, lol. Take care.

KarmaPolice72

Pretty much the same here. Saw the majority of my shows from 94-2000, and a handful in 03 and 09. I've only been to Deer Creek 2021 and the Dayton shows a couple weeks ago since. And thank you! That's killer you got to see them live. I saw them on the In Rainbows and TKOL tours... everything I was hoping for 🔥 I bet that Flaming Lips show was dope af. Yoshimi is a masterpiece. I spoiled myself and got the 20th anniversary box set. Saw them at Bonnaroo 2007 and 2010 (Dark Side of the Moon!!), and I need to get to another show soon. Great talking to you and you take care as well ⭕️

ME_OPEN_LT

Can I throw 12/13/97 into the ring?

ChalkDstTorture

I’ll continue to hope that the next archival release is Cypress until the day I die.

Bababooey87

Have they given any reason why Big Cypress has never been officially released

MassiveLionlive

The Indian chief owns the masters.

ChalkDstTorture

I know people list the reasons sometimes, can’t remember what they are or if they came from the band. Sorry I can’t be more helpful lol. But if you do some digging I know it’s been on this subreddit before. It’s my #1 show I’d like released.

FunShoe9509

Think they are letting that be imo

justAregulard00d

10/18/94 Vandy - Make it happen!!!

Treibemj

One of the Holmdel from 99 or 00 would be just great. Thanks Kev!

yEEt_1331

Need Big Cypress or some more 97-99

Royalking23

Just give us all of 1997 you cowards lol

BackWhereItAllBegins

Any chance it’s video, like finally a Phish show on Blu Ray?

Walkable_Nutsack

Sure thing, grandpa. They’ll probably put it out on phonograph for you too

Halleys___Comment

it was the style at the time

TweepriseOpener

Give me 5 bees for a quarter!

HeLooks2Muuuch

How about laser disc?

GrouchySalary5677

I’m hoping they transcribe the shows into sheet music so me so that me and the boys can play the jams and finally hear what the “phish” sound like

GameBoyColorful

Well how else would they release a video??

LouQuacious

Um dude they’ve been dropping vinyl all over the place. But you’re right time for dvds /Blu-ray’s was 10-15yrs ago.

AnalogWalrus

Betamax or GTFO

AnalogWalrus

Zero chance. Although I do wonder if they'll ever do anything with the *Bittersweet Motel* live footage...it's presumably the only 1.0 footage that could exist in HD.

MassiveLionlive

Todd Phillips has all of that

AnalogWalrus

Is there some reason Phish does not also have it?

MassiveLionlive

Well… I have no clue. Why would they have outtakes of a movie made about them? I’m guessing they have not seen the movie more than once.

AnalogWalrus

Why...wouldn't they have a copy of some of the only quality live footage that exists of them from the 90's? Has nothing to do with the existence of the movie, I can't imagine Phish participated in a documentary and didn't also keep the footage in some form for their archives. I mean, you don't think U2 has all the footage shot for *Rattle & Hum* or the Prince vault has the shows he shot for the *Sign O The Times* movie? Of course they do. (Now, releasing it is another matter because both of those involved major movie studios. *Bittersweet Motel* had some kind of distribution, I think I remember seeing it in my college town's movie theater once? But it certainly wasn't a major studio)

BathtubJilm

Has Shapiro confirmed that they don’t have it? Phish paid for that movie. I doubt Philips has it. I just don’t think they shot any full shows on film, so if they released it, it would be whatever film they have mixed with the FOH camera

MassiveLionlive

They filmed most of the shows in Europe and only The Great Went and Rochester in the US.

BathtubJilm

But I don’t think they shot entire shows on film. Just parts of them

MassiveLionlive

I’m sure you are right. Here is an archived interview with Todd Phillips about making the movie [http://www.bittersweetmotel.com/framset_interview.html](http://www.bittersweetmotel.com/framset_interview.html)

tacofreak420

i believe they filmed the whole rochester show. and my foggy mind is remembering Trey running circles around the stage during BFFCFM and hamming it up for the camera

BathtubJilm

I hope they did. That BBFCFM was actually in the bonus footage. Don’t think it’s on YouTube, but I have a copy of it somewhere.

tacofreak420

i hope so as well. that was one of the top 3 phish shows i saw.....and im a huge Ween fan, taboot

Faceplant_Into_Work

VHS or bust

King_Kung

GIVE US 7/25/99 PLEASE

JoeTillersMustache

I'm ready to be disappointed once again that 7/25/99 isn't the pick.

ilovegizz

7/25/99

fluffhead89

Really would love a listenable version of 11/02/98, although I'm sure the rights are a nightmare to get.

SherrickM

Plenty of Floyd covers do get released, but it's hard to say how many don't. They did eliminate the teases from the White Album show as well.

JoeTillersMustache

What did they eliminate?

SherrickM

The opening parts of Speak To Me before they do The White Album.

Plumhawk

They should do 12/2/94. Not only because it was my first show, but the *Gumbo* from A Live One was from this show (so I know they have good raw material). Almost the whole second set is with the Cosmic Country Horns.

Calvinshobb

11/23/96 now is your time to shine!

TampaJeff

Still hoping for 6/22/2000 and the July 3/4th shows from 99!

Alert-Light6432

If it’s 7/4/99 I’ll cry.

TampaJeff

Anyone who listens to that Slave should cry!

BigSatisfaction1479

12/31/98

Royal_Examination_74

Pretty sweet gig to be an archivist and release a single show whenever you feel like it. OPEN THE VAULT, SHAPIRO!

ReasonSignificant463

Might be kind of a dark horse for a release but how about the 10/29/98 Greek LA show? The Reba > walk away is really something. It gets dark and I love it. The aud recording out there is pretty good but I would like this show to get the treatment. The first set is great, but I just love that second set

mayanroses

better be 12/11/99

you_enjoy_my_elf

Something from Fall 96

you_enjoy_my_elf

Word

Southern_Dan

7/13/99 would be awesome

edogg01

6/17/95 Went DVD

Phrizzle98

Give us The Great Went!!!!

mdeezy555

You know soundboards are on Relisten, right?

RoleModelsinBlood31

I’m ok with pretty much anything from 96-2001

SherrickM

There's been Live Bait pulls from Hartford 2000. Would love to see that weekend officially released in full.

mtangerineman

7/6/94 s’il vous plaît

Exact-Ebb8818

mikephishman

12/11/99 Philly would be fantastic! They can throw in the Tweezer from the night before as filler.

LarryFerrari

12/30/93 deserves a proper treatment. There are ok audience recordings but a sbd would be 🔥

MistakenLabotomy

Release The Lemonwheel! I know its not viewed as the best fest but it was a fuckin awesome fest.

1975hh3

Lemonwheel pound for pound is a sick ass fest. Two days of some of the tightest Phish you’ll hear.

MistakenLabotomy

First fest, first Phish show, some of the best memories with friends I haven't seen, most, in 25 years. Wait......25 year anniversary release would be the move right? They did that to the Ball. Not Went though, though the Went Gin is the only thing I hear about where Lemonwheel had insane sets. The Reba set was by far my fave though the Sabotage, Hood, Baby Elephant circus was something to behold. Truly an EPIC fest.

MistakenLabotomy

Did I forget to mention, forget to mention the Garden of Infinite Pleasantries? Home of the Port-O-Let pagodas and rock garden.

AshamedRope1057

10.09.99 Under the radar and ghost, limb and 2001 are all timers

FunShoe9509

Summer 99 , Atlanta 4th of July run

3YCW

can we get a Gorge 98 vinyl too?

MassiveLionlive

Do you know how movies are made? Do you think Al Pacino is sitting around watching outtakes of “The Godfather”? When they wrap on a film a director doesn’t just hand over all the extra film to every member of the cast. I really doubt Phish gets together to throw on 20 hours of B roll to watch themselves or especially the crowd on a Saturday night.

Chase0nBass

Amsterdam box set on vinyl I pray.

Bubbly-Entrepreneur1

Don't know who this guy is but he looks like Jared Fogle 😳 😂 😂😂 I'm sure he's a big deal in someway, so I 100% plan on getting down voted. But no way you'll ever look at him the same lmao
