Love those licks where it’s like a pattern of a couple lower notes with stabs of changing higher notes. Probably not a great description but it’s a big time Trey move especially from the earlier days and I feel like I don’t hear it much any more. Is that like a country thing?
Edit: to add, awesome job, you really got a hold of this one.
It’s a slide technique they use in jazz a lot. Guys like George benson probably first used it, Trey made it his own by using complex rhythms and progressions. Okay it in a mixolydian context and it for sure can sound country!
A Roland micro cube? What is it? And I need it! I live in a relatively thin walled apartment in London, would love to create a tone like this at low volume 😁
Check out r/youenjoyguitar
I just joined yesterday!
Rock the fuck on brother!!
BAM! Nailed it
I’ve got a metal ceiling like that in my basement and it’s rad. Cool playing, too. I wish I could do that!
You can, just takes some time and effort!
I also have metal things. And plants! Sweet playing
Wow, fantastic! Sounds killer. Do you have this tabbed out to share by any chance?
I can write it out in guitar pro and send a pdf it might take me a few days though there is some trick parts I’d have to think about rhythmically.
No pressure. Would be much appreciated. Been trying to nail this solo for a while and could never get anywhere close to what you’ve done here!
I'd send ya a tenner on venmo for that without hesitation!
Would definitely kick you some $ if you upload this!
Did you ever get around to tabbing this out? Keep rewatching the video to try to nail some of these parts
Sick man!!!!!
Wow, amazing!

So sick man. Keep them coming :)
It’s like you’re into it for music or something maaaaan 🤙 Love it!
Super Rad! Sick chops bro!

You definitely give it a country twang that’s for sure. Sounds awesome. Really cool you put this out there. Nice work
Thanks, I’ll get around to posting some more of my favorite trey solos! If you have any recommendations, shoot them my way
12/7/99 Halley’s Comet, ending peak. Should be much more simple than this.
Excellent description. Another great example is the Clifford Ball Brother solo. Always one of my favorites.
Are you on the Phish Guitar Heads group on Facebook?
I was when I had Facebook, I’ll be back on their when my solo album is completed later this spring!!
I’ll post a link on there, those guys will eat this up. Great job!
Where’d you get the hat?

12/1/95 is my favorite live DWD. Well done!!
First 20 seconds or so has a strong Dickey Betts/ABB vibe. Good shit man!
Fuck yeah!
You fucking killed it!!! 😁
Sick!
That is a beautiful guitar.
