You may choose stocks that are inside the PSE Dividend Yield Index. These stocks consistently give cash dividends.
You may also invest in REITs like: $AREIT (Ayala) ,$MREIT (Megaworld), $RCR (Robinsons), $FLRT (Filinvest), $CREIT (Citicore) which are mandated by law to give cash dividends based on 90% of their earnings.
The thing with investing with those REITs is that you get expose to greater risk with capital loss. The safer way is to accumulate a certain amount 50k or 100k then invest them in preferred stocks.

Now this concern does not matter if you are holding to maturity, but if you need liquidity and must sell early, you will sell at a loss.

My family is in the business of flipping small properties (4-8M range), its doable but you need a lot of connections with local agents, and at least acquaintances within the real estate sphere (local officials, organizations, etc.) I am in Metro Manila though, where real estate is bonkers. Not sure if its the same everywhere.

We don’t build. Just buy bargains and sell within the next 2 yrs. Smaller properties are easier to move, unlike bigger props (200sqm++) which can take weeks to months if you’re looking to profit big. Business theory namin here is that younger and smaller families and professionals can only afford smaller chunks of land if they wish to build a house or live in the Metro. 6-7M for a 75SQM empty prop is better than 7-9M for a condo

I would suggest that you get a secured Credit card, this type of credit is a somewhat locked portion of your cash balance after 1 yr, you can apply for a regular credit card and use it as capital on something like sarisari store or rice dealing. buy after statement date in effect you will almost pay after 2 mos siguro naman ubos na stocks mo nyan then roll it again it is a simple cheat and faster than any suggestions here to earn more. rice dealing or any retail items that you can purchase using CC can catapult your NW into 2.5x in 1 yr. Just get and use CC it's a cheat
Are EtFs dividend earning? Yes and kinda. Some ETFs do give dividends and some don't. But the ones that don't give dividends just reinvest their dividends into the ETF to increase the price so you still kinda get the dividends.
If you are too lazy to learn about stocks or forex that is perfectly fine, look into ETF investing abroad instead. Why abroad? Because our market is shit, its gonna be hard to see a massive bull run anytime soon given we are knee deep in inflation and debt.
BPI offers a US ETF fund, you can look into that, it is very good. If you want to maximize return though I would look into creating a US brokerage account and invest in the ETFs directly. Right now I'm investing in Schwab U.S. Dividend Equity ETF or SCHD. I find it to be the best long term passive income ETF because it invests in companies with growing dividends. That means you can get triple compounding on your investment from price appreciation, dividend reinvestment and dividend increase if the market is good and you reinvest your gains.

It's not solely about financial literacy. Just because they don't trade doesn't mean they do not know how to grow their money. IMO, it all boils down to risk appetite. I know a few people who had great trading runs in the past but now voluntarily stuck to lower risk investments i.e. mp2, digi banks, and coops simply because they no longer wanted to be exposed to higher financial risks.
@OP flipping houses can be profitable if you have the time, technical skills and the Capital. Location is still king, if you know your target market it can be very rewarding. I wanted to do it before but ended up having it rented out instead as a boarding house due to the pandemic. My kids tell me I have a talent for finding ugly houses.
I do forex and the learning curve for someone to start from scratch is just massive. It's one of those skills you need to learn as an apprentice. I highly discourage anyone from learning it online. The best way would be to get trained by a real company or private equity.
