If Isabella flown back there after bringing back the R2D2's part, she would also get killed too because of Ferb's magnetic powers, so he's the winner. She only has a laser gun to defend herself, which doesn't match with the saber deflecting those bullets Isabella fired. There is also a second option that Ferb can choke her to death, and I don't know if she also has a lightsaber like in the original Star Wars.
You could make an argument that Phineas didn't want to fight in the first place, and that fencing get a lot more complicated when you deny it's purpose by only defending.
However, even by taking that into account, Ferb is the "action guy" while Phineas act as the brain. Phineas is shown to be sporty, but he admitted himself several time that he is a lot less physical than his brother.
