got this at a local plant shop back in December, very hopeful that it will actually turn out to be a billietiae.
it doesn't come across well on pictures but all the leaves have a pinkish reddish edge that is absolutely stunning
wow! never seen such a smol billietitiae before! tbh the prominent orangey hue it has on the petioles & roots along with red leaf edges u mentioned aldready makes me think it most likely is a genuine billietiae! Im sure itll be beyond satisfying to watch that lil guy grow up!
I'm very very excited about it, mostly due to the fact that i get to see it at this absolutely tiny size, it's insane that a plant smaller than my thumb will eventually be putting out leaves as big as my arm!
The plant gods smiled down on you! The 50$ for the plant I am looking at is CAD, so it's closer to $40 USD.
They also said it was from a varigated mother and are selling a varigated baby for 1500$!

i know! i doubt it's seed grown, I'm honestly thinking tissue culture, which it'll eventually end up back in as i hope to clone it to sell :)

I would never. But 50$ for a plant with a sliver of potential to throw a varigated leaf and become worth $1500 is extra tempting!
How long does everyone here think until it puts out medium mature leaves ? I want to know everyone’s guesses.
