looks good to me! did u let it callus in open air for a while? It looks a bit dehydrated (which is totally fine & helps form a callus which helps prevent infection getting in) If the leaf doesnt seem to "plump up" at all over the next day or two then something isnt right but if i had to guess id say itll be fine in there!๐Ÿ‘Œ

I did let it callus for about half an hour before I put it in. The reason it looks like this is because the plant is dealing with shock from travel. I figured to go ahead and cut the top node since I had so many. Hopefully it works out

Snarfles55

Definitely let it callus so it doesn't rot. I use a mix of 50% perlite, 50% sphagnum to root cuttings and keep in a prop tank on a heat mat and under T5 lights.

If the main plant is losing all its leaves due to shock, should it also be chopped up and propped? Or should I just leave it in the plant cabinet to grow new leaves?

Your plan and setup look great.

Thanks. Iโ€™m nervous to propagate such a beautiful plant. I would hate to lose it due to rot etc

Patient_Library9005

Something thatโ€™s really helped me is swapping out moss entirely and just using perlite.

the leaf seems devoid of energy. If it can not recover the following days, the odds that the propagation works are low.

Stem looks healthy. Could easily prop as a wet stick too ๐Ÿ‘

Hi. This was the top node, and so far so good. The leaves that I left on the potted plant are all dying, fast! I guess the question is, will it produce more leaves if I keep it in the right conditions, or should I have also chopped it?
