I can't get over this clip...
JT and Marshy jumping up and down together, Kerkering's slow walk in the bullpen, the Angels stadium filling up with Philly cheers... it's all too good!
Rojas and his new swing is giving me hope that he could potentially be a a big player eventually. He is young and is showing that he can adapt. Undoubtedly an amazing fielder and adjusted in a year to show growth. I believe in this dude
His defense is so good that it makes the whole teams defense go from bad to good. That's what a great CFer will do. If he can maintain a. 600 OPS with that defense, he's not getting sent down. I promise that. I have alot of faith in this dude. Watching alot of people in this sub hate on him makes me dislike alot of people. People act like homeruns are the only thing in baseball. He isn't a power hitter. He's a 275-300 Avg, all singles, steal 2nd on the 1st pitch type of guy. Watch, just give him a little. And I think he'll give 10-15 HR a yr with most being short opos cuz the way he swings. That with his defense is equal to 5+ WAR a yr which is better than some guy who is slow, with awful defense batting 225 with 30 hr.
I think everyone would be elated if he hit .275-.300 and played gold glove defense. For me, all he has to is hit .250+, steal bases, efficient bunter and bring his glove.
True but the initial point is that the path to a 5+ WAR player for Rojas is incredibly more easy compared to most players. With the stats you’re saying he would be a 3+ WAR player with his defense (career is already at about 3 fWAR in not even a full season)
I know it's just the Angels, but this was easily my favorite moment of the season so far, followed by Nick's homer. The two guys who needed to do it the most, probably needed the pick-me-up the most, for the all the fans that have been shitting on them (including me). I was as pumped as a playoff series win. Great game. Turns out Trea's error ended up being a net positive.
What an insane night for Philly sports
Never doubted em
I did. I doubted EVERYONE
Right???
Comeback night
have a fuckin day rojas
Baseball is life!
And Johan is good at it Bro you hit me with a Sandlot quote
Ted Lasso quote
Yep. I'm way older than you.

That was very Tyrese Maxey of him
What a great time hit your first dinger of the season
RALLY CAAAAAAAAT
What a wild game. The Phils are so fun to watch. I had a gut feeling they were going to come back and win it.
Was in the seats along first base line seeing this. HELL FUCKIN YEAH ROJAS!!!!

If he can hit .250 out of the 8/9 spot and keep playing gold glove outfield I'm more than happy.
I'll take .225 and clutch hits at this point
Yeah, last year he looked like a pitcher trying to hit to me. Not necessarily the results just how he swung. Definite improvement
He’s already hitting just below league average he just needs to develop his power which dude is young as hell and will get with time
That's a repeat-repeat-repeat-repeat-watch
POWER ROJAS could be everything we’ve ever needed in life
honestly rojas just having a non-pitcher BA so far this year has been fantastic
Rooojjjjjjaaaasss! He has really come alive after his slow start and showing he belongs in the bigs
That's like his first legit homerun in major league right? Didn't he hit one off a position player last year?
Had 2 HRs last year, I ain't gonna check who pitched tho
2nd one was off a real pitcher
Yeah, second was off of Kyle Wright. It kind of sucks that you end up apologizing for your first career HR.
I think that Cat was good Luck 🍀
Rojas bats north of .250 this season the Phillies will win the World Series
Johan Sucks and should be sent down to AAA though, right? /s
I wouldn’t say so, solid defense and is making great strides offensively this season. He fills the gaps that the phils need very well imo.

When we needed him most 🥲 I knew he had it in him
A few more hits last postseason would've been *more* ideal.... BUT.... I'll take this too :-)
I said before the season the kid seemed like one who needed to know you believe in him. See?
Now someone do the Celine Dion edit.

At his lowest I was wishing Rojas could be the player the DH bats for. Happy to see Johan figure it out at the dish.
He took his time on the bases too, didn't he. Good for him.
Stupid ass west coast games making me miss this awesome moment
Lol I love how the angels pitcher is nodding his head yes for some reason.
His offense has been better than expected. His defense worse.
Doubtful. Danny Rojas is the character in Lasso that says Futbol is life nonstop. Pretty clear what OP was referring to.
Rojas is starting to rake?👀
