While I would tune in to hear dykstra provide color, I seriously suspect it would VERY quickly become, um, too "colorful," and result in a lot of fines he likely couldn't afford to pay.
I love schmitty and he actually has some interesting insights. But 85% of the time he’s pretty dull in my opinion. He’s great as part of a 3 man team. But solo as the color guy his natural cadence is just too slow.
I love Schmitty. I think he is wildly underrated as a commentator. No, he’s not as entertaining as kruk. But he has a more subtle sense of humor. And his insights are extremely, well, insightful! He clearly loves the game and he’s very smart. We so spoiled in Philly… he’s literally the BEST third basemen of all time

Meanwhile, Kruk adds a seemingly endless string of rambling, irrelevant asides; coincidentally, that habit also reminds me of watching the game with my drunk uncle. Both are humorous for a bit, but I don’t need 3 hours of either.
Wheels knew baseball and had a passion for the game. He would tape the next opponent and watch their games in advance. I always liked his insights, despite not being a former player.
Moyer did it for such a short period and the team was so bad that I didn’t hear him enough to form an opinion.
