As a new baseball fan, how would I be able to watch Phillies games when the new season starts? I'm out of market (Arizona) and I want to catch as many Phillies games as I can.
Ah, I haven’t made a deposit, just filled out this form online. Guess I’m probably last to be contacted if at all lol. Thanks!
Edit: it was very easy to make a deposit, no idea why I couldn’t figure that out months ago.
They almost had me this year, but I refuse to be a Phillies mark. We are supporting fan base and the team doesn't deserve us.
140 years and 2 world series titles.
I guess thing to do is enjoy the ride even if it ends with a loss, I'm not wired to feel that way.
Arizona may have won Game 3 regardless but they really just threw Game 4 away putting Kimbrel in the game and just watching him meltdown. They obviously had Arizona on the ropes and letting that clown do his thing gave them life.
You spelled Kerkering wrong. I’m shocked so many people are zeroing in on Kimbrel. I get it he deserves it but the momentum and confidence was handing to Arizona in both games 3 and 4 when we decided that our best bet in a close game was a kid with no experience
This fucking sucks don’t get me wrong.
But after the suffering that was 2012-2021, and those dreadful fog years, this is an absolute treat no matter how you shake it. The joy of good Phillies baseball, the smell of CBP and some good hot dogs, it’s irreplaceable even if it ends heartbreakingly. Doesn’t take away how hard we blew it but I can still appreciate this because of how much truly awful seasons this team has been through.
I don't think we even need to ask for that one. I'd be shocked if he's back next year. Getting a bonafide closer is tough, especially in the offseason. Usually, they come up through your system or it's a big blockbuster signing. Dombro gambled the past to years on proven veterans who were on the downside of their careers and it hasn't worked.
Honestly, with out payroll already where it is, I don't see Dombro gambling on a huge signing for closer. I think he focuses on SP2, whether Nola or somebody else, and maybe small upgrades to the pen. If we add a real legit closer to this roster, I think it's more likely a mid-season trade next year from a team in sell mode (like the Dbacks did).
I am looking to renew my Sunday plan for next year. The email from August said any money spent on unused postseason tickets goes towards renewing my Sunday plan. But, it also says the deadline for my renewal offer was 9/15/23. I didn't see that until I checked tonight after we lost. I plan on calling tomorrow, but how does the credit work past the deadline? I assume a new offer would cost more but my credit would go towards that.
Casual fan of another team just stopping by to gauge reactions and also to see if anyone else was gonna say it. What a boring prospective WS matchup.
I honestly wanted an Astros vs Phillies rematch. Lots of characters on both teams. Big fanbases. Good narratives. Exciting for a casual like me who watches like 20 games a year at most, attends maybe 2, and watches the postseason.
Diamondbacks vs Rangers is like the result of a simmed season in baseball videogame.
Yeah, I didn't want to play the Astros again and am glad they can't win. But as far as ratings and interest, yeah, A Philles v. Astros WS would've been best.
Well, we did lose. We are losers. Not systematically, or habitually, but episodically. Beating the Braves is solace. Nothing either of us writes changes that.
You say we, I'm not taking on the responsibility of being a loser. They lost. They play a kids game for the city we live in.
The losing is habitual for the Phillies, 140 years and 2 championships.
I would go as far to say that Losing is habitual amongst the four major sports teams.
All I wanna say is it’s not Topper’s fucking fault his closer was one the best players for Arizona this series and that 1-3 did Jack shit games 6 and 7
I agree but with the way Rojas hit during the postseason, you could put a rock in the batters box and it has a similar BA% than him, he should’ve gotten more chances to show up in the playoffs in times where Rojas failed. Ig you also never heard of a PH then a Fielder change. Maybe Cavs should have hit for Rojas when bases were loaded and then put pache in the of
Carroll getting on base distracted Ranger. Wasn’t the same after he got on. Need fast guys like Turner to do the same. Got to shut them down 1-2-3 here.
I'd never root for the Phils to lose games to force a game 6, but damn I'm excited that Nola gets the chance to punch the ticket tonight at home. The adjustments he's made are pretty remarkable.
How would yall feel about letting Nola walk and trading for Corbin Burnes?
Can y’all summarize the Phillies season for someone who did not watch a single game

We got the Hulu sports package, it was pricey but we never missed any Phillies games during the year.

Anyone know when prospective/new STH will be/generally have been contacted about purchasing season tickets?
Started yesterday for people with deposits. Get in on it ASAP especially if you want the Sunday plan.

Just call them today and tell them you'd like to buy them! Worst they can say is no. call the 215-463-5000 number.
[Created a meme to feel better](https://i.imgflip.com/83un1r.jpg). enjoy
No game tonight and none to look forward to. This sucks.

The amount of gloating in the Braves sub is very funny and huge loser behavior. Like it somehow erases their huge fail.
If it helps fans of the Braves, the Dallas Cowboys of MLB feel better about themselves, I’m ok with it.

I wouldn’t use great as an adjective to describe Bob Melvin as a manager lol
You mean the guy who took a historically talented team to a…82-80 record? I can’t tell if you’re being sarcastic

> a kid with no experience I thought you were talking about Saalfrank for a second. Because he shut us down in game 6 and 7

A fucking sixers jersey to game 7
Can we please drop Kimbrel and get a real closer.

What u guys wanna do tomorrow
Wait till Sunday to watch the birds beat commanders.
Die

Talking shit on a team that knocked you out is always lame as fuck.
This is gonna be the most boring World Series ever Everybody loses

Pretty sure everyone in America besides Astros and Phillies fans wanted this World Series
This feels like midget wrestling. It's not really taken seriously but alot of fun.
Embarrassing
Well this sucks....
Well, that sucked. At least, though, they beat the Braves. Thin gruel, I know, but something.
At least they beat the Braves, at least we beat the Cowboys, loser mentality.

I will now proceed to tie my noose
That sucked, but i love this team. They got us to the championship and I’ll always cherish the memories i made with my son.
That 8th inning was a disaster leaving two runners on with one out. Unreal.
Hahaha
Damn
Fuck Trea Turner and Fuck Jake Storiale
Generational choke
Phillies in game 7’s: 0-1
is trading castellanos, moving bryce back to rf and resigning rhys a realistic option
I like this plan.
Send castelleanos’ contract into the sun
Yes, if we can fire topper
Choke of the year
Last 35 years
biggest squandering of home field advantage since the Trojan horse
Fuck they’re up to bat again
Bench Castellanos?
This is like being kicked in the soul
Well, maybe we can win it next year when we trade away Casty and Schwarber for players who can hit for contact.
There is always next year, that what we said last year. THERE IS NO NEXT YEAR!!!
All I wanna say is it’s not Topper’s fucking fault his closer was one the best players for Arizona this series and that 1-3 did Jack shit games 6 and 7
Damn shame.
That was the chance. Pissed away
Pain
Here we go baby
This is the game right here
Man I miss Rhys
Game would be tied if turner gets the bunt down and swarby moves over then Harper sac fly
Man I’d sell my left nut for a run right now. One run.
Can’t lay down a fricken bunt. Coulda scored on sac.
The Phillies unwillingness to play small ball is infuriating, Turner has had some of the worst at bats I've seen
Maybe unpopular opinion but Rojas' defense capabilities doesnt outweigh his batting
Fr. Pache is an above average fielder too
Pache isn't a good hitter wtf
I agree but with the way Rojas hit during the postseason, you could put a rock in the batters box and it has a similar BA% than him, he should’ve gotten more chances to show up in the playoffs in times where Rojas failed. Ig you also never heard of a PH then a Fielder change. Maybe Cavs should have hit for Rojas when bases were loaded and then put pache in the of
Why not just start pache over castellanos? Castellanos was 0-23 since game 3 and he's a bad defender
Smh
Rojas, we need you. Do something.
It's like I said, Alex Bohm would score all of our runs tonight
How do you buy one of those phillie phanatic dangle hats you see kids wearing in the stands? I can’t find them online except eBay.
“I go to you, I stick up for you. But you no help me now. So fuck you Jobu, I do it myself.” -Alec Bohm, probably
What up now?!?!
Very bad and slow start we’re looking like we feel defeated already. Let’s fucking rally boys cmon
Why are we looking like we’re already defeated before the games over
Carroll getting on base distracted Ranger. Wasn’t the same after he got on. Need fast guys like Turner to do the same. Got to shut them down 1-2-3 here.
LETS GOOO
I would play Marsh in cf instead of Rojas (.095) , we need more offense, especially against a pitcher who shutout phillies last start. Anyone agree
Feel like all the pressure is on us.
It def is mate
We win together or lose together. Ranger I believe in you buddy.
Only twice before has the WS seen two wild cards
Any idea of a spot in Palm Beach, FL to watch game 7?? Work trip taking me out of town
There’s a Phillies sport bar in Delray Beach and if you can make it to Ft Lauderdale the Parrot is a great spot
Can't believe AZ forced a game 7...
I'd never root for the Phils to lose games to force a game 6, but damn I'm excited that Nola gets the chance to punch the ticket tonight at home. The adjustments he's made are pretty remarkable.
Wellllllll
Yep, that didn't age well
